I can't say much about the quality of work because it wasn't visible, but it was very obvious that the shop is poorly managed. I made an appointment for the airbag and oil change and was told to come at 11am and see Jim who will be my service advisor and everything schools take 1-1.5 Hours. Upon arrival there was no Jim and no one else wanted to be responsible for my case it appeared. I had one person walk in the door and gave me a friendly smile saying"we'll be right with you" and walking out the other door. They were 3 other employees in the room and no other customers , but still no one acknowledged. After several minutes a lady felt bad and unwillingly helped me out. Upon telling her my name she voiced her dismay that no one had printed my paperwork and that she had to do that. Than she informed me that the car would be ready in 4-5 hours depending what airbag it was and she couldn't tell from her computer and that no one else would know either. Asking why i was told 1 hour on the phone, I was informed that"the phone appointment people have no clue and always throw out incorrect times". Since I was on my lunch break and had planned to wait they offered me a shuttle back to work. However the shuttle driver was an hour away. After an hour the shuttle driver came and was nice, but also complained about how he had no time for lunch and that it will be tight afternoon for him since "the company acted like it was the end of the world" if they had to pay him OT. After that it worked like promised. Car was done at 3:30 and oil change was $40 for regular oil. Positively, they did not try to sell me any useless extra maintenance items. Overall, I would not go back and try the other ford dealer in town if I had to go back to a dealer for whatever reason

They did a good job for us, and their service underwriter (wayne) are very knowledge. He has been doing this for many years, and he has been with shad many years. He is very trustworthy, and doesn't try up sell us.

The diagnostic was expensive and it was wrong- I was told that one ignition coil was bad, and it was bad because of coolant leaking from the intake manifold which also needed to be replaced. They stated that no other service was needed. They replaced the single ignition coil. Because of the price, I didn't replace the intake manifold immediately. Turns out that the Ford OEM part is faulty (was part of a recall many years ago) and the replacement part was nearly $600 just for the part through Ford. I was able to buy a better quality part on amazon for $210.00 so the markup was over 250%!!!!!! Additionally, within a few more weeks, 4 more ignition coils went bad and the next service establishment let me know that they do typically all go bad very quickly and this is just due to wear and tear, and that Ford should have realized this. Also, Ford failed to ensure that the spark plugs were screwed back into the car properly, nor notice that all of the plugs were timed differently and incorrectly for my vehicle which was also part of my performance issues. I will definitely never go back again.

The original work left me feeling confident, and I took the car there once or twice more before I realized the problem with the workmanship. Hindsight is 20/20.

My wife usually takes it there. Ford Fusion Hybrid is fabulous. My wife gets 38 miles per gallon and I usually get 42 miles per gallon. It was down to $29200 without any tax as I got a discount. I got it about $4000 less.

We didn't pay anything because we have a service agreement. We will definitely continue to use them.

I purchased a used 2001 Ford Mustang GT convertible and brought the car in to have them check on a stuttering kind of feeling that happened when I let off the gas and then resumed speed. They told me that I needed 2 coils, these modular engines have a coil over each spark plug (8) unlike a car with a distributor, and that they would replace them for $660. I said I would consider it and long story short, that was 30,000 miles ago and I still have the same 8 coils that were on the car when I bought it. It still has the stuttering as well. No one has been able to diagnose that as it is very infrequent. I also used this provider for oil changes for a time and made an appointment for an oil change online. I showed up on time for my appointment and was standing waiting for the service writer when a customer who was 1/2 hour late for his appointment walked in and the service writer decided to take the late person in front of me. THAT was the last time I set foot in Mike Shad Ford! This behavior of the service writers has also affected my decision on new car purchases. Even though this dealer is close to my house I would not purchase a new Ford car because I would have to deal with their service department.

We have purchased 2 cars from Mike Shad Ford. The first one was a lemon, but he worked with us. We have had a good experience with him and the sales people.
