I had a remanufactured transmission installed in a 2011 GMC Yukon for $3000 in 2011 with a 3 yr 100k warranty. After only 22k miles the transmission has completely failed. It is past the warranty period but anyone would agree that a new transmission should last much longer than that if done properly. I went to the Tuffy store and they offered to fix it for $3500! Next I filled out a form on the Tuffy franchise site and immediately got a response that the franchise owner would call me. Bob never called; instead he emailed to state that a vehicle not driven often would have this issue. This vehicle is driven every day, but within a 5 mile block from home. No towing or hard or long miles. So not only is he making excuses for obviously sub-par work, he is making assumptions rather than having a conversation with me. In the email he apologized that there was nothing he could do, that the price of parts and labor had gone up so he could not give me more than the $200 break reflected in the $3500 price. I have been taking my vehicles there since they opened in 2011- every religious oil change, every regular maintenance that most people don't do, you name it. He acknowledged all this in his email but still nothing. Obviously i will not be giving them any more business and I hope anyone reading this will consider trusting this place to give good customer service, or even proper repairs.

Went in expecting the worse case scenario on my Chevy's air conditioning issues. They did a quick review of the situation and providing with the costs for the worse case. 1/2 later the job was done and I was only out the cost for labor. Very pleased with all aspects of their service. Waiting area was clean, manager was polite and well spoken. The work area was well kept and even the mechanics were polite. Very positive experience.

Outstanding service that was quick and I was able to watch the service being performed. They were nice to me and answered all of my questions. They even advised me on some seepage but did not try to get me to pay for additional service, instead, they told me they would note it and keep an eye on it.

I went there at 8:00 am. Told them the problem about coolant leaking and a small hole in the radiator. I left the key and the truck. They would call me with diagnosis. I waited only for about 45 minutes and told me that there was a hole. They said they would replace the radiator and a temp regulator, flush and replace the coolant. The job should be completed about 1 pm. At about 2 pm they called and said the truck was ready.

Excellent service and professional, courteous personnel. I was surprised to see all the items on my invoice that were noted as being in need of repair (but I had not previously given permission to be fixed). It was nice to have the list so the next time I go in for an oil charge or a tire rotation, I will know what else needs to be done. They also offer military discount (10%). After showing my ID, and quot;Adamand quot; even thanked me for my service. A very pleasant surprise (establishments that do offer military discount rarely thank the veteran for their service so this was a welcome compliment). I even asked for a tire rotation but was advised not to due to the age of the tires and the mismatched rear tires. That was surprising too since I've never come across a car place that told the customer a service wasn't needed.

It is a small little place down the street from my house and the guys are really nice. I don't know if they have everything they need to service my new European car. My last oil change was $65 and the visit went very well. I took two cars there for oil changes and they actually found a problem with incorrectly installed tires that was done by a different company. I probably won't go anywhere else than Tuffy for maintenance stuff. Their pricing is comparable and they are very professional.
