I bought a deal from one of the email coupon providers like groupon or living social. The coupon was for 500 sq feet of tile cleaning. On the phone the guy tried to sell me a sealer right away for an additional charge and I told him I would think about it. When he came out he told me my front room was probably over 500 feet and the bedroom would be extra. I doubted that and had him measure. The entire apt with kitchen and bath was under 500sq feet. So he agreed to do the whole apt. (This is a rental of mine and I had refurbished the bath, kitchen and laid new tile in the bedroom, so most of the tile really wasn't dirty) Again he asked me about purchasing a special sealer and I agreed as it was going to cost about 65 dollars and I knew he was not getting much for the job because of the coupon. He called when he was finishing and I returned while he was putting the equipment up. The floor was too wet to walk on, so assumed it was done properly and he left. Seven hours later with the air conditioners running, I came back to do a few thing before the furniture was delivered the next day, and the floors were still wet. In two places there was standing water. He had not vacuumed up the water properly and it was in two large puddles. I mopped those two places up and left. The next day....24 hours after he left.... the floor was still wet. I realized it was probably the sealer which was not drying. I left him a message that I was extremely displeased. The furniture was being delivered, and the floor was a mess. He showed back up with a sponge mop and agreed to go over the floors with the mop. Telling me I should have known I should have to mop the floors, and that they looked great. He told me the floor just took long to dry because there was not enough air. (I had two air conditioners going all night). Like I had never mopped a floor in my life and didn't know how long they took to dry? How about 15 min?? After he left I got out my Hoover tile cleaner machine and just went over the floor myself. Just used hot water and got up three tanks of dirty water with my own machine. This guy was terrible, and just thought he could keep telling how good his job was and eventually I would believe him. So I was out a 110 bucks, but done with him thank goodness. Not much of a deal in the long run.
