Description of Work: Robert at Davie Garage inspected my 1998 Chevy Silverado because a terrible noise came from the rear of my truck. It turned out that the rear end either needed to be replaced or rebuilt from what Robert told me. He informed me of this quickly and efficiently and had recommendations of local shops that could do a rebuild...since Davie Garage does replacements but doesn't rebuild. I found all of this out quickly and they were so professional too. I went to pick up my truck and Robert didn't charge for inspecting my truck and giving me a rundown of what was wrong...and also letting me know what I needed to do to get it rebuilt. Great service and an excellent place to take your vehicle if the rear end needs to be replaced. The only reason I answered no on were services performed or was money paid to the provider...is because I went to another shop to have it rebuilt and Robert at Davie Garage didn't charge me for the inspection/diagnostic. Great service!

Description of Work: The AC in our Tacoma truck was not working. He repaired the fan, the dial and some other part. It is working perfectly now and for half the price they quoted us at the dealer. The repair took less than a day. We left the truck in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon.

They were a little further then I normally travel to have my car serviced or repaired but they were more then worth the extra travel. They wrote up estimate and it came in at exactly that price. I will highly recommend them to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work.davie garage you have a customer for life now.
Description of Work: Performed system check due to check engine light on. Found codes for oxygen sensor bad, transmission problem, and catalylic converter . They replaced oxy. sensor,performed transmission service,tune-up, cleaned trottle body, replaced leaking gasket on engine, flush cooling system and replace wiper blades. They repaired everthing to my complete satisfaction, checked out car bumper to bumper told what needed to be done and what I can wait on. The catalylic converter was an expensive and was borderline so he said I can wait on replacing it. One tire had a plug that was on side wall and he suggested i change it. He said if I wanted to I could just replace 2 tires and then at next rotation replace the other 2 but I went ahead and replaced all 4 tires at a very reasonable price. And he mounted and balanced also. He also found an a/c hose that needed to be reattached, he didnot charge me extra for that repair.

+ -1 moreWe had a great experience with Davie Garage. We brought the car in at 8:15 a.m. and Robert called both my husband and me by 11:00 a.m. to explain every item on his list. I received a call by 2:00 p.m. to tell me the car was ready! My husband and I were very impressed with Robert and staff's attentiveness and honesty.
Description of Work: I had been having difficulty with my gas mileage (a raids decrease in mileage per tank) so I took it to Davie Garage, after reading the positive reports on angieslist. Robert was very thorough in explaining the potential problems and he was very honest. I brought my car in the next day to be serviced.

They have paperwork ready when you arrive so that you don't stand in a queue. You just deliver the keys. The vehicle was ready in time. The quality of the service was very good. Consumer Reports recommends that independent repair shops provide the best service. You just need to find a knowledgeable, honest shop. I would recommend customer to try Davie Garage.

+ -1 moreI called one morning to see if they could replace the bolts that hold on the heat shield. They were able to fit me in that day and had it fixed a few hours later. I couldn't believe they only charged $40. I've never paid so little at a car mechanics before. I have had no problems since then. I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreThey will always let you know if something needs to be done when it's coming up. A couple of years ago, they let me know that my timing belt would need to be done soon. They are thorough. I don't know if their prices are the cheapest, but they are very trustworthy and wouldn't do anything that didn't need to be done.

+ -1 moreThey were extremely helpful in this situation. They could have charged us in this situation or hiked up the bill. They told us the basic things that needed to be fixed for safety. They went ahead and did the work. With the exception of one other thing we had to have fixed, it's been running fine. It could have cost us over $2000. They gave us the lowest price to get what we needed to get done.
Description of Work: We have an older Taurus which both of my teenage kids have learned to drive on. It was having a lot of different problems. We needed someone to look over to see if it was worth repairing or not. We wanted to make sure it would be safe to drive.
