I was pleased with the work done.

Purchased the $319 handyman special. Turned out that was too much (8 hrs), as Mike was efficient and handled everything quickly. He was able to procure the supplies needed, handle all of the small jobs/items that needed to be addressed, added a few more fix-its to the list and covered them himself. All in all an efficient, easy service to use and I'd definitely use him again. Note - His company can do far more than simple handyman work, so he's worth consideration for other contracting work.

This is the 2nd time I've used Mike. I was so thrilled with his work in my home, that I had him come to my office to repair a cabinet. Once again, he was timely, professional and completed the work within a matter of hours. He put some extras on the cabinet in order to alleviate my anxiety over the fact that snakes were coming into the office from the cabinet area. Basically he snake proofed the area for me. They may get into the cabinet from the outside but they won't get into my office.

I paid for the 2 hour deal and an additional $66 for parts etc. I have nothing but great things to say about the service I received. They called to let me know they were coming. They were very polite,professional and down to earth. I had budgeted so much more and was very surprised when I got the receipt. Not to mention the conditions were not ideal, medium winds with gusts and wind chills of lower 30's. I will definitely be calling them back for more repairs!!

We engaged Mike through an Angie's List Deal for 2-hour handyman. Mike arrived punctually at the designated time and immediately went to work on the task. Upon completing the task in a professional manner in less than one hour, he volunteered to take on additional tasks and so he replaced a three-way dimmer switch for the long-unused kitchen circuit. We were completely satisfied with Mike's efforts, and asked for his help to install a slide-in range and under-counter dishwasher that was to be delivered the following week. Mike was again punctual for the installation appointment, focused on the task at hand, and accomplished the objectives promptly and professionally. Mike's proficiency and competitive hourly rate make him a great find- a hidden gem?- on Angie's List; I've placed his name and number at the top of the Handyman tab in my Rolodex.

The contractor did a good job. Originally, he didn't want to actually hang the tv in fear that it might fall but he ended up hanging it and its still hanging.

This is my first experience with a company from Angie's list...and it was a WONDERFUL experience. This company is a MUST USE!!

Mike from Designing Renovations responded to my Angies List inquiry very quickly. He came out to look at my moldy spots and determined that a previous inspection by another company had overstated my mold problem. A few weeks later, he returned with a helper and removed moldy drywall, sprayed some areas with a mold killer and replaced the drywall. Since he charges by the day, he also did some other minor repairs around my house. He also identified a problem in another part of my attic where the roof and gable was actually rotten from long-term leaking. He arranged for a roofer to come out to fix that damage and eliminate the source of the leak. Now we are waiting for some rain to test the repair so that Mike can come back and fix the moldy drywall in this area. I have been very happy with the work and Mike's professionalism. I will certainly use him again.

Special was for 2 hours of handyman service. Appointment was for 8, he arrived shortly thereafter... around 8:30. Immediately apologize for his tardiness, which was fine with me, since I was running late as well. Very friendly. It took little time to install the first baby gate. There were some issues with the second gate, but he gave me recommendations on how to mount the second gate. It isn't pretty, but this is to prevent my 1 year old son from falling down the stairs, so it was well worth it. I didn't use up the entire 2 hours which I am to blame since I didn't get the clever blinds that I wanted him to install. I am very pleased with what I needed to have done.

Mike was a great guy and very nice. He was very accommodating in trying to find a time that worked out best with us. Before the service was done I asked him if I would be able to receive a copy of the report and he said that would be no problem. He called shortly after his visit and left a message that there was no mold, which really surprised me. Three weeks after he came I sent an email reminding him I would like the copy of the results. We emailed and called back and forth since he claimed he had sent it to me. Eventually I just got tired of bugging him and gave up. So I never received it! As much as I liked Mike, it is hard for me to give a good rating because I never saw the report myself.

He was on time... hung pictures for me while making recommendations on placement... it all turned out great!!

He was very professional and was able to fit the job in with a short amount of time. The work was above average but what I appreciated the most was his conversation of how and what he was doing. The fact he was patient enough to give me the lesson while providing good work, makes him a great handyman.

Mike and Heidi called a little while before they were do to arrive to let us know they were on the way. At that they arrived 15 minute early. I wanted a door and frame removed and a new pre-hung door installed. Mike and Heidi sized up the situation and started to work immediately. Tearing out the old door and frame was no problem but they were very careful in doing it and were cleaning up always as work progress. As with any project there are snags but with their experience and professionalism the got through them nicely. The whole job only took an hour and except for the new door you wouldn't even know they were there. Sure, I'd hire them again. I took the time to have Mike give me an idea on price for another project I had in mind.

Mike, of Designing Renovations, was prompt in calling me and scheduling a time to come out. He was personable and professional. He did some work that day, but several of the jobs I needed done required purchasing parts that I did not have. He specified what I needed and came back to next day to complete the jobs. I was/am very pleased with the work he did on the kitchen light ballast; that light had been out for years. He also did a good job on the kitched door lock. I was not as happy with some of the other work. He worked on my garage door for quite a while and finally got it working; but the first time I tried to use it (just a day or two later) it didn't work. Note that I did not call him to give him a chance to come back and fix it again, so my evaluation isn't completely fair. But part of the reason I did not call is that I wasn't happy with his work on two other projects. He did a reasonably good job installing the in-ground stakes to stabilize my play set (on the small side). However, when I pointed out that one of the chains holding the two-seater was not secure, he tugged on it and said that it was fine. However, I did the repair myself ina few weeks, I found that the nut was only partially on the bolt (it was in a "stuck" position). Once I got the nut off, I was able to reassemble the fixture to make it as secure as the others. He also installed a baby-gate at the top of the stairs. In order to do so, he had to move the existing handrail down a foot. He moved the hardware on the rail (rather than the hardware on the wall) so I isn't to blame for installing the wall hardware. But the wall brackets apparently, were not attached to wood studs nor were they secured with those things you use to put screws in wallboard. The handrail came loose at the bottom soon after Handyman Mike was here and because he worked on those brackets, I have to think he should have noticed that the brackets were not properly secured and either fixed it, or at the least, could have let me know of the problem -- especially since that is the set of stairs used by my grandkids (which is why we put the baby-gate at the top. All in all, I was impressed with the amount of work he did -- especially coming back out a second day (remember, I paid only $59!). The quality of his work might have been satisfactory if I had given him a chance to cure the problems, but because of the number of issues I found, I can't honestly give this company more than a "C" on quality.

We have double glass sliding doors in a bedroom that had come off of the track. The doors are quite old and heavy. Mr. Leiberman assessed the job, determined what needed to be done and completed the job. We are very satisfied with this company and would recommend them and contact them again ourselves.

I purchased a $59.00, 2 hour handyman service from Angies List. I called on a Monday and Mike, the owner said he could come by the next afternoon to do the work. I gave him a brief description so he could bring appropriate tools. He arrived right on time and performed all of my listed tasks efficiently, quickly and very cheerfully. Had I been more organized I could have added a few more chores to the list and Mike would have been able to complete them in the 2 hours. He was knowledgeable about all areas of home improvement.

We had called a couple of people for estimates and his was the lowest. He did everything with mold test and removal. He gave us several options and suggestions for; basically they had to gut the basement because of mold and he was trying to do it the most economical way for us, which we really appreciated. He gave us the options and left it to us whether we wanted it or not. We then had him back later to do some other repairs that we needed to do that he was capable of doing and he gave us a separate price for doing some other renovations.

A++++ I contacted this company and got a hold of Mike, the owner. I called on a Thursday and he was able to schedule me by the weekend! He was on time and I was impressed with how nicley everything was done. He answered all my questions about other issues I had been having and was able to advise me accordingly. I will be using him for all my future needs!!!!

The job was to access what was needed to be done mainly because I live in Oregon and I had not had much success with other service providers considering the distance involved.

The contractor tested for mold in two locations in the house and one outside. No mold was found. The contractor was punctual and courteous.

Extremely professional, arrived on time, completed work quickly, cleaned up afterward, and the results were as promised.

Very Well. This company came through for me and did a superior job per agreement. Scheduling was almost last minute but owner worked me in to coincide with other contractor work going on. Thanks for job well done.

It went very well. Mike confirmed that we do have mold and moisture in our basement. Solutions were discussed with my husband.
