Tenant called to say his opener was binding during lifting of the door. It was a very old opener. Tropical came out the next day and determined that there were a number of issues with the very old opener and rail. They replaced it with a new unit and did not try to sell any other unneeded parts.

Tenant had called to say chain came down off the opener and the door could only be put up and down by hand. I called Tropical and they got out there the next day when the tenant was home. I told them they could work on the door on their own by just opening it, but they preferred not to work there with no one home. Good policy. The arrived the next day, replaced the needed parts and did not try to sell anything that wasn't needed.

I called and they were here in 1 hour. They were professional and very prepared. All work finished in an hour. I would highly recommend their services.

We just had service by Jeff from Tropical Garage Doors. He serviced our problems with our doors, charged a fair price and did not try to sell us something we did not need. We will definitely call Jeff and this company in the future.

AMAZING! Showed up early. Removed my old opener. Even re-arranged some of my older, ugly wiring so it was more out of the way. We love this new opener!

Repairman arrived and fixed my door which had been damaged by another company. He fixed that problem as well as adjusted the garage door opener so that the door worked properly. He was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. He also didn't say that I needed a new $500.00 garage door opener like the previous company.

Tropical Doors Inc sent out a tech to perform requested work. The tech (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) arrived a little late but was very curtious and professional. He performed his task in a minimal amount of time. He also tested and adjusted the equipment and door to ensure all were functioning correctly. He cleaned the work area and removed all trash. We are very happy with our new garage door opener.

The entire process was fantastic from the first call until the completion of the job! On Sunday night, the evening before Memorial Day, I walked into the garage at the same time one of the garage door springs decided to break. Since it was Sunday evening, I thought I'd check Angie's List and see who came highly recommended and also I remembered seeing their ad for "home of the $ 99.00 spring job". I called, left a message, and received a call back from Jason within 5 minutes. Even though the next day was a holiday, I was quoted a price (no overtime or holiday charges) and a time that a technician would arrive at my home. The next morning, I received a call from Jeff asking me if he could arrive earlier and I was thrilled! Jeff arrived in a company vehicle and was very professional and polite. Answered questions that my husband had and didn't mind that my husband observed the process as he was curious. The job took about 20 minutes or so minutes and he went a step further and sprayed the garage door tracks with some lubricant at no additional charge. Jeff gave us some tips on future maintenance and some suggestions on brands of garage door openers when the time came to purchase a replacement. I can't imagine any other company going above and beyond the service that was provided to us. The cost was exactly what was quoted on the phone and the service 5 star! Do yourself a favor and call them, it was the first company I called and will be the only one for future garage door needs. Thanks Jason and Jeff :)

I called in the morning and the repair was completed the same afternoon. Perfect communications and a great result. Door is operating better than ever! This is the second time I have called Tropical doors and both times, they got the job done on the same day with excellent results.

sent email for an estimate on a Sunday, they quickly responded and were at my house on Monday. Service tech was very good, really new his business and replaced what had to be done, took him less than 3 hours to complete the job and check out the springs an other components as well. Did a great job and would recommend them to my friends!

Jason came out to get a quote on the repair to the garage door. He promptly called me back when I inquired with an estimate and was punctual with his time. Chris came over in the morning as promised and did the repair to the door. Service was fast and professional and would highly recommend again when the time is needed.

Jeff arrived, on time, polite, professional, and friendly. He replaced the belt, tightened the spring, and preformed other work needed to restore the functionality of my garage door. Jeff also gave me great advice on how to keep the door functional - easy monthly maintenance info. Jeff also gave me advice on how to keep the appearance of the door looking great - with minimal effort - even with all the salt-air. All this, for an extremely reasonable price. Superb service/extremely satisfied customer. UPDATE: This is additional info to the review I submitted yesterday: When my husband came home, he commented: "The garage door works better now than it did when it was brand new!" And I agree!

Contacted Tropical Doors about a double car garage door. We wanted pricing and options. An appointment was set and Jason came out to do the FREE estimate on Feb. 3, 2014! He gave us a variety of different options...style, color, insulation, ect... and gave us a price. (Included was the Angie's list discount AND a cash discount too.) We decided on the door and he called us back and said the door would be arriving in 2 to 3 weeks. We received a call on Feb. 21, 2014 advising us that the door had arrived and installation could be scheduled for Feb. 25, 2014 between 1PM and 3PM! On Feb. 25, 2014 we received a call from the office telling us that the installer would be here in about 15 minutes... and he was, right on time! The installer, Shawn, was friendly and professional. The installation went fantastic and we are the envy of our neighborhood! My only problem is, I wish Shawn would have taken the boxes that the door panels came in with him, and not left them on the side of the house. BUT, that being said, I would recommend Tropical Doors to any and everyone looking for a reasonable, professional, and punctual company! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

Checked out Angie's List and Tropical Garage Doors was cheaper than all the coupons listed. It was less to replace both springs than to use the coupon for one. Called. Set an appointment. He called before arriving to ask if he could come earlier. YES. We talked and he proved to be professional and knowledgeable. Had all his own equipment and tools. Had spare parts with him. Replaced both springs. Examined the system. Gave info about my door and system. Fixed all the squeaks in the door. Now the quietest door in the neighborhood. Even the dog doesn't hear it open. Reported that the bearings that should be there were missing and replaced it at a reasonable charge. Gave advice on how to reduce excess heat in garage with insulation. All done in a short time. Left the work area clean. I hope to never have to call him again but IF I do have garage door problems they will be the first I would call. I asked for a sticker on my door just in case. They did what they said they would do, did it when they would do it, and did it well. BUT, I forgot to ask for a Senior discount. Still, very satisfied. I wish all contractors had this level of customer service, work ethic, knowledge, and manner.
