"So sorry to hear this. I tried to go to this customers home. I called her on my way, she answered and said she would be home. When I arrived she wasn't there. I left my card in her door to contact me for another time to meet with her. I would also like to mention that this was a kitchen with approx. 80 to 90 sq. ft of cement ceiling. She wanted smooth texture. I did mention to her that since the ceiling is cement it may not appear entirely smooth but that we will do our best. This is why I wanted to go and look at the work. I will reach out to her again and hopefully make her happy. If I don't reach her she is welcome to contact me anytime to schedule a convenient time to meet."
"Thank you [Member Name Removed]. We are so happy that you're pleased with your lanai ceiling."
"Since this was done over year ago we are going to have to research this issue."
I have never given a company a bad review before, but this was unfortunately a disaster. Upon first glance, the work looked great. About 2-3 weeks later, the tape seams and several cracks started showing.
- It took multiple phone calls (3 or 4) to get a date for repairing the work they had done. Anthony does not return calls.
- They came at the wrong time -- had to reschedule. More calls to Anthony.
- They came again on the new date -- but at the wrong time -- and luckily I anticipated it this time. They taped off everything nicely, and again the repairs looked good.
- Two DAYS LATER, we had tape seams again, worse than before, and the plaster started falling off. This revealed that all they did was put up more plaster to cover the cracks and seams. They told us they would cut out the bad parts. They did not.
- We tried to get them back out -- more calls!!! Anthony said he would come take a look. He no-showed and did not call or anything. We even offered to pay more money to get things done properly.
- Like others, we had to hire someone else to scrape off their plasterwork, put more screws in the new ceiling (which was not secured properly in the first place), cut out and insert new sheetrock in places, and retexture everything.
This company's errors cost us about $1500 to fix -- which includes the now-trashed 4 coats of paint we put on the ceiling, new paint and the fees to the other contractor. Not to mention the hours of labor it will take to repaint the entire ceiling. Extremely disappointing, and at this point, no written response to this review will undo the damage done.
"This has been fixed and the customer is happy. In fact, they referred us a customer. This should be removed."
"Thank you for your review. We are happy that you're pleased with our work."
I warned them I had new wood floors and that I wanted them protected during the job. They promised they would take care of my wood floors and cover them in plastic. I told them plastic alone would not protect the floors from dents, gouges and scratches. Needless to say, they only covered them with plastic and left $300 of damage to my floors. They tried to blame it on other contractors but the other contractors were only in the kitchen where there is only tile floors. No other contractors were on the wood floors.
They refused to take responsibility for their broken contract, their lousy work or their damage to my home. They tried to blame everyone else for their shoddy work and even tried to blame me for rescheduling the job, like that gave them a reason for lousy work. Don't let these people anywhere near your ceiling, walls and especially your wood floors!
"This customer had several contractors in the home performing work. When Anthony went to look at the customers concerns the customer had different colored tape throughout the home identifying which contractor was responsible for the "damage". When we went to the home to address the issues this customer was very difficult to deal with. When Anthony offered to have our technicians return to caulk paint lines the customer used foul language and refused for us to go back into his home. He states in his review that we slopped texture all over his walls. We have never, in 40 years, slopped texture. Our work is not shoddy as stated. Although, we are sorry this customer isn't happy, and we offered to go back and fix areas, I'm not quite sure what else to do as he refused to allow us back into his home. As far as the wood floors are concerned we did not do any damage to the floors."
"Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Please let us know if we can help you in the future!"
"The old baseboard from the bathroom was covered in mold. When we remove drywall the baseboard is removed as well. I told this customer if the old baseboard hadn't been already thrown away I would make sure it was returned. Unfortunately, it had been disposed of."
In reality, in my case, they removed the popcorn ceiling but also damaged my walls by tearing not only the paint but the textured drywall down about 1-5? the walls. I have photos to prove it. We hired them to do 3 ceilings. The first day, they worked on 2 ceilings. The next day, we asked them to re-do the work because of so much yellowing and bleed through. They did. Then they did the third ceiling. They assured me the last ceiling (which was, unfortunately not quite dry yet when I paid in full) would not need a second coat of paint. Well, by the next day, it became clear that yes, it would need another coat.
When I called back to tell Anthony, he told me to just hire my wall painters to repair their work and to finish the job. He said he?d pay me back the cost to have the painters do it. When I told him the price of the job, he refused to pay anything! There were SO MANY THINGS THAT WERE DAMAGED while they were working here (scratched teak-wood staircase, texture goo on the ceiling fans, light fixtures, and a/c vents, and ruined drywall) There was NO WAY we wanted them back in there to fix the mess they?d already made. We ended up hiring someone else to fix and finish the job they promised to do.
I DO NOT recommend them. (Check out their BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU reports, there are many dissatisfied customers.)
"We create a tented bubble when removing/replacing texture. Unfortunately, when we remove the visqueen paint may pull from the walls. This is stated in our contract so our customers are aware of this. Although our contract states we aren't responsible for this we still will go and touch up the areas. This customer refused. Also, if yellowing occurs after we leave we also will go back and paint. This customer refused this as well. Yellowing will sometimes occur for many reasons. We don't know the integrity of the old drywall so for many reasons yellowing is a possibility. Therefore, since this customer already hired painters, we purchased paint and brought it to her. As far as the comments of damage to staircase etc all I can say is we aren't the responsible party. Again, we tried to accommodate this customer with her concerns and she refused all of our attempts. Therefore, all we could do was purchase paint for her."
