Took Lowes 3 times to get the door and frame ordered even though they had the correct measurements from the beginning. We had to change the style door being requested because it was not available through them once they put the correct measurements into their system. We had to slightly downgrade the door style to one they could order and get delivered.
Description of Work: Purchase and install new shower enclosure door and frame.

It was wonderful. They did a great job. The price was high, but it was okay.
Description of Work: We had some doors put in by the Lowe's people.

They did a good job but left scuff marks. They didn't warn us when they sanded the concrete slab and didn't allow us time to try to keep things clean. We had to clean for a week after they left. The price was competitive.
Description of Work: They installed laminate flooring.

profselfme8 out of 10 times I 've been to this Lowes, their sales and customer service associates have been lazy, poorly behaving, uncaring, downright rude and adverserial, dismissive, completely irresponsive, and basically lousy and incompetent. I have had only 2 guys who helped me in the grill/yard equipment departments with a grill and pressure washer who were helpful, nice and knowledgeable. The rest of the time whether it was at customer service because I had to return something, or in the paint department, the flooring department, everyone was basically so unpleasant, incompetent and nasty that I have decided not to ever again go to Lowes. The Home Depot right down the street on University is so much better in every respect, it's just not worth trying to give this Lowes location another chance. So many times they have screwed up and behaved badly that I am just fed up with them. I called the flooring department the other day because no one was there to help me there the day before when I had stopped by to look at some hardwood floors. After the 3rd trial, the phone call ringing hundreds of times in the flooring department, no one picking it up, the call going to customer service and getting rerouted again and again to flooring, eventually Rob answers. I gave him the detailed info on the floor I was interested it and asked him to get back to me about the specifics of it and installation price per sq. ft. for 2000 sq. ft. of flooring. He took the info down and said he was with a customer (10AM on a Wed. in mid Feb 2015), and he would get the info I needed after that customer and get back to me. It is now mid March and I still haven't heard back from Rob...Aggravating! The paint department employee looked at me as if I am a Marcian asking about the type of caulk called "painter's caulk" which I couldn't find on their shelves at all and had looked for it up and down their isle 3-4 times. She didn't have any customers when I approached her and she just sent me back there, "It's right over there on the left at the end of the isle" making me feel stupid for not finding it after 3 times, to look again by myself instead of coming and helping me find it. When I came back to tell her I didn't see any caulk marked as "painter's caulk" where she sent me, she had 1 customer talking to her. She had me wait for over 30 minutes, taking one paint customer after next with their paint orders and didn't give a d*** to come and get the d*** caulk for me. Eventually, I asked for a manager who came and still couldn't find the caulk I needed. Instead of the caulk, he suggested I use Frog Tape to get the straight sharp edges on my textured walls. Well, that didn't work and I ended up going to Home Depot for Painter's Caulk and returning the Frog Tape to Lowes. There are 2-3 regular customer service ladies there. Two of them are elderly and 1 of those two has a thinner face than the other one. The one with the thinner face is helpful and nice most of the times. But, OMG, the one with the round face, she is nasty! She talked to me in a tone of voice as if a mean and nasty grandma would talk to a brat grandson or granddaughter for not having a receipt while the item still had the original packaging and the Lowes price tag on it. She said, "YOU MUST ALWAYS BRING YOUR RECEIPT!" scolding me like a correctional office (not that I have ever had one but I have seen how they talk to criminals on TV). They usually have 1 check out lane manned by a cashier and their self-checkouts are way too sensitive to be operated by customers. I have checked out at other places but the self-check out at Lowes gets me and every other customer stuck every d*** time. Their lines are always long because they only have 1 lane manned during the week. I just believe that they the management at this store is extremely poor or they wouldn't hire all these nasty people and not have any oversight on them. Even after I brought this up with the manager, telling him that I wasn't going to come to their store any more and would instead go to Home Depot, he acted as if he didn't give a d***. If Lowes corporate cares about their reputation, they would do a complete overhaul of the staff at this store and ask the customers to vote for who should stay and who should go. I'd be happy to provide names of those who have been helpful and nice. But, the majority including management are just incompetent and shouldn't be in customer service/retail business any ways. In contrast and comparison, it truly is a joy shopping at the Home Depot in our neighborhood on University. They are ALL helpful, responsive, knowledgeable and professional. I can't think of 1 shopping trip there when I didn't have a positive experience with them. They stand behind their products and customers and make sure that I leave with what I need as soon as possible and get the information and product that I need. They go above and beyond educating, guiding, helping and taking care of any and all needs I've had at their store. They make all kinds of gestures to make sure I don't leave there unhappy. If they are out of a cheap filter, they will sell one the next grade up, 3 times more expensive, for the same price. If I have anything to return, without a receipt, as long as it is in its original packaging and home depot price tag, they refund me/issue a gift card with no hassles. ALL of them have smiles on their faces at all time and make me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. So, why would I ever again want to go to the Lowes in my neighborhood? No reason unless I am CRAZY, which I am not.
Description of Work: They are supposed to provide assistance with various home improvement and tools when you go there and give you a positive customer service experience at any stage of your purchase or interaction with them. I have gone to them for Christmas shopping, outdoor grill, gardening, tools, flooring, paint, etc. Just as I have with the Home Depot on University. These two stores are the closest to where I live but there is a world of difference between the service you get here and the service you get at the Home Depot!
