About us
Fernando (Owner) started working on cars at the early age of 17 in Queens, NY in a small shop ran by an uncle. It was then he realized his passion for Automobile Repairs. He then finished a course in Automobile Repairs. In 1982 he got his first job at a car dealership at Koppel Audi & Infiniti Dealership. He then became an Audi Master Technician in 1987 which is acquired after successfully passing all 8 ASE certification areas for Master and all Audi factory training. In 1988, Fernando moved to Silver Star Motors Porsche Dealership after being offered a job as a Mechanic Instructor there. He worked there until 1992. In 1993 he then moved to Guatemala City, Guatemala to open up is own shop which had been his childhood dream. His shop was named: "Techniauto" In 2000, He successfully ran his shop for 7 years until deciding to move back to the United States to be closer to his family. He then moved to Coconut Creek, Florida. Started working at Champion Motors Audi & Porsche Dealership. In December 2001 he was offered a better opportunity at Gunther VW as a Master Technician. In March 2010 Fernando opened up his very own "Techniauto" once again. With over 30 years of experience in the Automobile Repairing Industry we take great pride in every job that comes through our Shop. We are setup as a full Auto Mechanic Shop, our equipment is all state of the art and updated to the latest technology available in todays market. There is no out sourcing for our jobs, if we can't get it done here we will gladly refer you to a specialist instead, for example Body Work or Auto Glass. We are a family owned and operated business with all proper licenses, permits, and insurance to run our facility. I wrote a review. It never got posted, now Al pesters me every time I log in, so I'll write another. I bet it doesn't get posted.
I am very mechanical, and i can tell you that these guys really know their stuff. 30 years fixing German vehicles. I later had them repair a BMW and they coordinated the repair with the local dealer to see if there was any relief from the warranty on an expensive repair. They sent it over to the dealership, had it analyzed, saved me a bundle and then brought it back to his shop so that I could conveniently pick it up. I was floored. In another instance, they drove something that i had left in the car over to my office to save me time. They are absolutely unbelievable in their level of service.

The people were very nice and I am very sure that they do very good work.
Imagine our surprise when she arrived at the shop and received a very reasonable quote for what we believed was going to be a somewhat major repair. She was told it was going to take a few hours and run about $800 due to the extensive disassembly required to address the problem.
During her wait, she encountered several other customers that stopped by the shop. They all raved about how great this shop was, and shared their own story about why they were loyal customers.
A little while later, one of the gentlemen came out to let my fiance know that it wasn't going to be as involved as he thought and they could fix the problem with fewer parts and in less time. She walked out for less than $400.
There aren't many places that will put you out the door for half of what they quoted you. We've been back twice more for small things (once for her car, once for mine), and had a similar experience both times.
Give these guys a chance...we've had great experiences and the other customers that came through the shop sound like they have, too. It's a small shop, but they seem to do good work, and it's hard to put a price on honesty and integrity!

Nice people. Couldn't have been a nicer or more satisfying experience.
I returned there recently with a new, minor issue. Fernando interrupted his work to take a quick look and resolved the problem within five minutes. That's an experience I've never had before!
