Absolutely Superior Lawns is owned and operated by Robert Gregg. He appears to be the only employee, though occasionally does have a helper along. They provided the best price available by approximately 20%. Unfortunately this is the only positive I can offer. On several occasions they would not show up with no call, no text, no notification of any kind. This is to be expected on days where the lawn is to wet to mow, however this also occurred on scheduled dates when there had been no rain and the lawn was able to be mowed. On several occasions he mowed the lawn even though it was too wet to provide service, leaving deep ruts in the yard. On one occasion he decided to mow the front yard only, and charge full price for the service. He proves impossible to contact when you do have a problem. On a missed mow I'll usually try to call every other day, but never receive a response until the next scheduled date, and only then to ask me to leave him a check. As an example he failed to show up for a mow on August 1, 2014. I called him on August 8, 9, 12, and twice on the 13th before he finally called me back on the 13th stating that he didn't show up because he was on vacation (something he could have advised me of in advance), and then had a child in the hospital when he returned preventing him from contacting me sooner. Second recent example, he failed to show up on August 29, 2014, so I called on August 29, September 2 & 4. He showed up, still with no contact and mowed on September 5, then FINALLY texted me on September 19 to ask for a check...which brings me to my next... His record keeping leaves something to be desired. On the September 19 series of text messages he advised me that he was billing for August 1, 2014 seemingly forgetting his vacation and child in the hospital. When I advised him that he didn't show up on August 1, reminded him of his reasons for doing so, and detailed out the dates he'd been here, payments I made, etc, he stopped responding and had refused to contact me since despite several text messages and phone calls on my part. It should also be noted that he requires an annual contract. As incentive he offers one free service after completing the year service. I did complete the year, and never received my free service.
