Nick's Timeless Renovations

Installer was contracted via online bidding service to install 675sf of hardwood flooring. Nick was responsive and punctual throughout the experience. His references also checked out. However, two days after he began I was left with bowing, creaking floors and two cracked planks that he installed without first looking at them. Each time I presented a question during the installation Nick rebuffed my concerns citing how much experience he had. Most of the problems were caused when he failed to nail the last five rows of each room, which I had to hire another installer to fix. He was supposed to return three days later to install the transitions and reinstall the baseboards he removed. Instead, I received an email the night before his expected return demanding additional fees to return to the jobsite and to reinstall the baseboards even though he never previously mentioned and of the fees. Unfortunately for me I had already paid the written contract rate in full since only the transitions and baseboards needed to be installed. In the end I was forced to hire another contractor (who I also rated and highly recommend) to reinstall the improperly installed portions, fix the transitions and install the baseboards. I do not recommend Nick at all!
