When Michael came to give me an estimate, he seemed very professional, and his price was fair. He started the job the following week and I gave him 50% downpayment. After a few months on the job (he was also painting for Extreme Home Makeover at the time), he was just about done except for the punch list, which was pretty extensive. He asked me for the final payment and said he'd be back the following week to finish up. Unfortunately, I gave it to him, and he never came back. Since then, I have called him numerous times and one time he actually came back. When he saw that the paint was chipping from many of the walls, completely missed areas and the kitchen cabinets a completely different color (from being wiped down, the paint completely washed off), he was extremely apologetic and said he'd be back the next week to re-do the work. He never came back, and stopped taking my calls. I told him if he did not have the time, he could refund me a portion of my money, but he said he would re-paint instead. He did neither.
