 + -1 moreFirst, it took them a couple weeks longer than they said it would. When I asked why, they talked about how difficult it was to get all the old paint to come off, so they were having to take a lot of extra time with it. But that's not the good part. Today I was cleaning it and some of the paint chipped away. This was annoying in itself, but when the paint fell away I could clearly see the old paint right under the new! So all that time that they were telling me how difficult it was to get all the old paint off, it was just bull. I think they just shot it with a coat of white -- didn't even prime it! -- and called to say it was ready. Also, a small piece of the dental molding in the front had come off -- I had brought the piece to them, and asked them to replace it. When I got it back, the piece had not been replaced.
Description of Work: I had a wooden fireplace facade that Klabe agreed to strip down to the bare wood and then paint with white lacquer. The "work to be performed" section of the proposal states: "S&R painted mantle (sic) to white lacquer." S&R meaning, strip and repaint.
