PIER ASSOCIATES MANAGEMENT

Pier was unprofessional but worse we judge that they were unethical. Never use this company. Pier Associates was absolutely awful and we kick ourselves for not dropping them. The agent was useless. He kept recommending homes that he would like to buy, fix up and flip. We wanted a home, not a project and/or a business opportunity. We idenified the home we eventually bought on our own. The agent then proceeded to screw up our contract time and again. He -- and his boss -- would then blame the seller's agent, which was not true. We eventually fired the agent but remained with Pier based on promises from the head of the company that he would personally deal with our case and there would not be anymore problems. He was a disaster. He left the country for vacation as we were trying to go to closing. Most of that time we were completely unable to contact him. We essentially did this deal ourselves. When we asked the head of Pier what he was doing to justify his rather substantial commission, he wrote us a long, scathing email full of insults. He placed the blame entirely at our feet. This was one of the worst experiences of we have ever had.
