Marc and Melissa at Help-U-Sell were outstanding and were wonderful to work with. Marc responded to my initial email almost right away and he came out to look at our house within a few days of initial contact. We knew we needed to make some improvements before we sold the house, and they were able to recommend someone to do them at a very, very reasonable price. Marc also suggested inexpensive fixes to make our house more attractive to potential buyers. In addition, they worked with us to place the house on the market in the time frame we wanted to. While we made initial contact with Help-U-Sell before we moved, the house wasn't placed on the market until after we moved across country. Within a week of listing the house, we had a full price offer and we didn't have to travel back to the east coast for the closing. Everything was done remotely. If we ever move back to the DC area, we would definitely use them again. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Marc was professional, friendly, customer service driven and, above all, honest. When we initially met Marc at our house in Laurel, he arrived on time, professionally attired, with a genuine smile and pleasant attitude. He brought all the appropriate paperwork with him to initiate a contract. Marc was very detailed as to how he would go about marketing our property. He was thorough and knowledgeable about the recent home sales in our neighborhood. We were impressed that he did the research BEFORE meeting with us for the first time, even though, at that stage, he wasn't sure he would get our business. Marc Dosik is a top-notch real estate agent. Before I spoke with Marc, I was worried I would have to put cash in to sell. In the end, I came out with some cash in hand! Marc was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He gave me good advice throughout from pricing, negotiations with the buyer, and all the way through settlement. I recently hired Marc Dosik to sell my home and the job that he did was exemplary - I received a full-price offer in 1 day and the sale settled in 30 days. I couldn't have asked for more. When hiring an agent to sell your home you need to find an experienced professional like Marc Dosik, not an inexperienced part-time amateur. Since most people only sell a house once or twice in a lifetime, they may not realize the many important steps in the sales process that an experienced agent can make all the difference with. For example, what price to list the house to get the most foot traffic without leaving money on the table; what's the credit-worthiness of the buyer; is their purchase of your house contingent on the buyer selling their house; what price will the bank's appraiser value the house at - if it appraises lower than the selling price it can kill the whole deal; what concessions are the buyers asking for and how to best negotiate their demands; when to hold an open house; how to fill out the myriad of real estate forms and how to best protect yourself legally when answering certain questions; meet the buyers on the walk-through, etc. These are all very important considerations that Marc is an expert at. He's involved in every facet of the sale and he's continually in contact with all parties involved - buyer's agent, inspectors, appraisers, settlement company, etc. It's his hand-on approach that alleviates any last-minute surprises which can arise. Everything went smoothly because Marc made sure of it. The fact that Marc is a "discount" broker is a real bonus. I saved over 10k in fees by going with him, yet his performance exceeded what I've experienced with full-price brokers who will happily take more of your money than Marc.

While we were starting the process to buy our first home, Marc and his staff were able to meet with us at times convenient to our work schedules (meaning often on weekends and in the evening). He worked within our budget and didn't pressure us to go higher. He found us a number of places in the areas we wanted to live in, co-ops, condos, and houses. As first-time home buyers with good credit but short work histories and irregular work formats (one of us worked on a contract basis) he managed to find us a broker (America Trust Funding) who went the extra mile to get us approved for a good rate. When he forgot to ask the seller to include a home warranty as we had requested, Marc was willing to pay for the warranty himself even though we asked for it about a month and a half after the closing. Marc Dosik and Help U Sell provide a unique full service concept in real estate. Rather than charging a sales commission based on the percentage of the final sales price, Help U Sell charge a discounted flat fee based on the agreed upon listing price. We really enjoyed working with Marc and found him extremely knowledgeable, confident and efficient. He gave us good advice about the necessary repairs/improvements as well as how to best show the house. Marc knows the local real estate markets inside and out and priced our house so that it would get a lot of attention immediately. His team was also very efficient and proactive at listing and marketing the property and were quick to assist in resolving any contingency issues. Help U Sell handled the closing process well. Due to their discounted business model, the seller may have to pitch in to hold extra open houses, if it is desired. However, this is easy to do as you just need to be in the house and direct inquiries to Help U Sell. All in all, we had a great smooth experience with Marc and his company and we sold our house quickly for a good price and we paid less in commissions than we would have if we had used anyone other than Marc and Help U Sell.

From start to finish Marc and his team were professional and well versed in all aspects of the sell. They were in constant contact and provided expert advice for all of my questions and concerns. A great experience.Help U Sell was very professional in handling themselves also quite helpful with pricing the home and proved to be experienced in their field. Their process was simple and effective. HUS guided us every step of the way from educating us with the housing market to good sound advice on what to update to suggestions on pricing without being pushy. They handled all the marketing of the home, making it available through the internet, other real estate agencies, brochures and etc. HUS helped us negotiate the contract and the home sold for the predicted price of the broker. We developed a good relationship with our broker and felt we were being guided by a friend. We were very happy with this service and will use them again in the future.
