Out of the 4 boxwoods, 3 of them died. I didn?t keep the bill but I kept the tag. They have died and they won?t let us exchange or get our money back. Every other place works with you and will replace the plants. I don?t think anyone should buy stuff from there without knowing that they won?t take anything back. We bought tree's from there about 15 years and had a similar experience. Since then the management has changed so we thought we would go back. These plants didn't even live a month!
Description of Work: We bought 4 boxwoods from them.

Response from Town & Country Farm and Garden Ctr
First, we did not do any "work for" your member. Your member chose plants at our garden center, paid for them, and left. They are the ones who took are of and planted the plants. We have no knowledge of how the member planted or cared for them. Contrary to Angie's List stated purpose: We are not a service provider or contractor. We are a retailer of live plants. We should not even be posted on your "List". Moreover, there is no garden center in the area that would guarantee anything without an installation or maintenance contract. Town & Country's Guarantee, which is posted up in the perennials AND down y the cash registers is clear and simple: "We guarantee our stock to be health. However, once a plant leaves our yard we have no control over it. Therefore we cannot assume any responsibility after a plant leaves our nursery." Likewise, we also have posted that once plants leave our premises they cannot be accepted back. There is no other way to do business with live stock than to give the responsibility to the purchaser for its subsequent care. We sell healthy, live plants. Some ofo ur plants are in our nursery for months. We take care of them and they live. Again, I find it hard to believe that Angie's List would permit pure teail relationhip (we are not a service provider or contractor) with the member to be posted or that she could be entitled to new plants. Boxwoods are one of the hardiest plants. To kill 3 Boxwoods in less than a month could not possibly be out fault. The other Boxwoods of that batch all lived/live while at our nursery. We had no other comments or complaints from the many customers who have bought hundreds of Boxwoods from us. I buy and sell all my plants. I work hard to keep all my plants healthy until time of sale. At this point, in time, my responsibilities end. The new owner/purchaser now assumes responsibility for the live plant. I have owned this company for 41 years and have had the same policies for as long.
