Drain replacement went very well. Done in a timely manner. However the restoration portion was 100% the opposite. The gentleman who came out, one of his first questions was how much are we covered for, and not what the actual issue was. Then we get an estimate and of course it was at our max when we didn't need 40% of the service completed. then they tried to overcharge the final invoice after adjusting saying it would now be a certain amount and again it was at the top of the estimate by $9.00. Very unprofessional on that side of the business even though they responded in a timely manner and on Memorial Day Saturday. When I called that morning I asked for someone to come out Tuesday so there would not be an additional charge for weekends and or holidays and the lady told me there is no extra charge for those because they are a seven day a week company with no overcharges. Well I found out the hard way and contested the charges because even in their contracts it does not state any over charges for after hours or weekends and or holidays. In closing be very careful when using this side of their business and make sure you have in writing everything and DO NOT give them any amounts of coverage you have but simply prove you have coverage.

The Technician, Walter Mendez, was professional, clean and thorough,... however the price of plumbing service of this particular kind is very high, just needed to be snaked...thats how it goes when they have you over a barrel with the equipment...Thanks to Walter,he was able to get the price down with a discount to $325,....no reflection on Walter he just works for them, he deserves a raise!

Installation was well done , but the price seemed ridiculously high given the quotes I had obtained elsewhere. They got the job done, but it was only a pressing need that compelled me to accept a very high quote.

They were able to unclog the line and to run a camera through the line to find some locations where the pipe was compromised. They quoted a price for replacing the pipe that was too high for me to move forward, but the pipe is draining well at this time and I am looking at rain garden options to hopefully eliminate the need for the pipe replacement.

HE HAD IT ALL ASSESSED AND CLEAREDRATHER QUICKLY DIVERTING A POTENTIAL DISASTER.

Call was not returned for 3 hours, so I called back and was told no one was available on the holiday, even though I had called before 6:00 am and the web site advertised emergency services on Thanksgiving day. Not responsive or helpful.

I called them one day and they came out the next day. They came within the time frame they said. I told him what I needed. He told me he could do it. He gave me pricing right then and there and he did the work the same day which was great. I needed a pipe extended from my hot water line to my portable dishwasher which is not common at all. He went above and beyond. He actually went and go the parts so he could do the hook up because portable dishwashers have to be hooked up to the sink. I was very happy with it. He went to several hardware stores and ended up driving quiet a distance to find the parts and brought it back and fixed it.

The plumber came in less than an hour. Opened the drainage, cleaned everything, replaced parts that were not good anymore and charged reasonable price and warranty for the work. Excellent job.

The problem was fixed but I'm concerned the trap in the basement wasn't thoroughly cleaned. We were advised to pour a dissolving solution.

Crew was there to dig that afternoon. They found the problem and fixed it by the end of the day 12/31.

I have tenants renting my condo and they told me my upstairs toilets/tub were backed up. I called roto-rooter and described the problem. Without hesitation told me they needed to snake my main line. However, the problem was on the second floor. They came, snaked the main line, left a mess, and it didn't even fix the problem. That same night the issue cropped up again and the toilet was vigorously plunged by my tenants removing whatever the original problem had been. Said they'd come back but there was absolutely no need now. I'll give them A's on punctuality and responsiveness because they were quick to respond to the situation. After taking the time to think about it, had it truly been a mainline issue, they would have experienced backup in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom LONG before the issue made it to the top floor. I called a couple of plumbers that friends had recommended and they confirmed my suspicion. My advice is if they say it's a mainline and your sink in the kitchen isn't overflowing they're overselling you. Also, they'll tell you that you get a complimentary video assessment of the pipes but in reality, you're paying for it with the price they charge. Most local, non-chain plumbers will only video the pipe if the snake doesn't fix the problem. The only reason I had to go with roto rooter was because I was out of the state and the tenants renting my condo were afraid the toilet was going to overflow on to top floor if they flushed anything more than liquids. I was desperate and I paid for it.

We hired some one else. The Roto Rooter guy was over two hours late from the time the office quoted. We had called the office back twice and were lied to both times being told he was only a few minutes away and when he finally showed up he had no knowledge of the office's representations. He then quoted us a price of $491.00 (TO SNAKE A PIPE!) with no guarantees. So we sent him on his way. We then hired Quality Plumbing out of Norwich. He was there in a half hour, dealt with the problem and had solutions to prevent future problems.

Fixed it twice, when once wasn't enough to fully fix the issue

It was very good. They were old pipes because the main part of the house is 100 years old. They were cast iron pipes. They were very good. They even brought a camera to show us what they were doing. They were excellent. I would call them again if I had to. I had to have a plumber here before and they were within a reasonable price of a plumber. They were very reasonable.

The service went well. They are great.

weeks ago, I contacted Roto Rooter to help unclog a sewer pipe. They didn't unclog it but still charged me anyways. I called up a few times to talk to the owner (Chris) at the company and was always told that he wasn't available. Finally, today one of the other owner's (Scott) was available. When I told him of my disappoint because the technician wasn't able to unclog the pipe and yet I was still charged, he told me that it was a service charge. Now the last time I checked I thought I was living in the US of A. When it did change to "I will take crappy service and still pay you for not delivering work" type of nation?? What is a service charge anyways? Isn't one of the definition to complete work successfully?? Well this was not completed successfully and yet I was still charged and to make matters worse, I was quoted $10k to $20k for cleaning and sanitizing a spill. Who in their right mind would pay this?? These guys are total rip-offs! Buyer Beware. If there's one thing I hate, it is being taken advantage of by corporations who are greedy to take money but not do the job. Oh and one thing I forgot to mention is that this other owner (Scott) proceeded to tell me in a condescending manner that I go to work and get paid and so why shouldn't his workers. Yes, agreed...I go to work and resolve issues successfully and THAT is why I get paid, Scott!! Pretty ridiculous. These guys are not fit to do business with. BUYER BEWARE!
