Arriving at the store, my first impression was that despite a ramp out front, there are no elevators (the store has three sales floors, each separated by two flights of stairs), and the furniture displays are jammed together I brought this up to a salesperson and he shrugged. They are unapologetic about their flagrant disregard for anyone who is mobility impaired. Their salespeople were low-key to the point of seeming not to care, admittedly a better experience than at a car dealer where you are hounded half to death. I made a $5,000 purchase which was to be delivered the next day. HERE IS WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID BOB'S: The and quot;delivery menand quot; entered my apartment. The first of the two looked over where things should ben and said that there was no problem with our apartment as it was. Then the second and quot;workerand quot; moseyed in, looked around, said something in Spanish to the first worker, who then announced that there were a few boxes (like a cable box) on the floor, and that the apartment was not suitable for delivery. He never even bothered to look in the bedroom where other pieces were to be put. I was told to call some Bob office to try to resolve the problem with the one driver who refused to work. First off, I was told that I was being recorded. Then things went nowhere, I was accused of swearing at the Spanish-speaking driver, not true, and was put on the defensive for two men who didn't want to work. This is not my first bad experience with Bob's; on another occasion they sold me a bed with a defect in the frame and refused to make it good. In the most recent incident, I ended up canceling the order. To their credit, the refund was speedy, but they withheld about $250 for and quot;delivery, and quot; which amount I plan to try to recoup in Small Claims Court. ADDENDUM: They refused to refund and quot;deliveryand quot; (see above), but I disputed the charge through my bank as a service not performed, and the bank reversed the charge in my favor. Lesson: If you must do business with Bob's, put the $$ on a credit card so your bank can help you if your experience is like mine.

When we walked into the store, a saleswoman immediately came forward to provide guidance, which was very helpful. She was pleasant and provided us the information requested. She stepped away so that we could shop, but let us know that she would be available to help in any way if we needed her advice or assistance. We made a selection, and the same saleswoman set up delivery. Bob's called on several occasions subsequent to purchase in order to verify delivery details. The furniture ordered arrived as promised, in excellent condition, and the delivery personnel were professional, helpful, and efficient. The entire experience was satisfactory - just as we would have wished.
Description of Work: We went to the Bob's store in Newington looking for a cherry chest of drawers, and a saleswoman immediately helped us to locate what we were looking for. We placed the order and it arrived as promised.

We had a couple of blemishes on our special ordered sectional. We are waiting to see if they are going to fix it or replace it. The customer service wasn't as good as I thought it should be. They were scheduled to come on a certain date and didn't show up.
Description of Work: We purchased new furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture.
