Description of Work: Vincent answered our phone call that day, inspected the site and discussed the work with us after a few days, then supervised the actual work the next day. All done within a week. The price was fair. Vincent was knowledgeable and conscientious, and easy to work with. Clean up was fine.

Description of Work: I called and spoke with Vincent who said he would get back the following week and did not so I called him a few weeks later . Oh and he initially asked me if I just wanted an estimate or was I going to give him the work. When I spoke to him again we made an apt for him to come out and he was a no show no call. So I sent him a text and he re scheduled and did show up. He gave a very high price to resurfaced our front step and then called some guys who showed up, have no idea if they are on Angie's list,who rec work we were not asking to be done on our retaining wall. In process of moving and just wanted to fix some things. They quoted a price of 3500. For work we were not requesting and neither Vincent or these guys have written estimates or business cards, very shady. Needless to say we will not be using any of these folks.

Description of Work: Vinny is a very likeable person and a skilled mason. He manages the men well who work for him and they did good work. Vinny is young and still learning |business skills. He quoted the job, then started the job, and then requested an additional$500.00 after we approved $2500.00. My point to him was he should have told me he had to"spot" excavate to give me a final total cost. Then if we did not agree, he would have had to "put back" as original as possible, the spot excavated. Instead |we agreed to the cost of $2500.00, he started the job and then said it had to be |$500.00 more. I am a retired design professional for over 30 years doing commercial work all over the country and residential locally. The situation became a mild altercation. We agreed to the $500.00 because I wanted the job |done before winter and I knew his work would be good from Angies List. BUT |I beat him over the head with "how to's" in estimating a job. $2500 was more |than we originally wanted to pay for this project BUT we agreed. Vinny did not |lose money on this job. He claimed his diamond saw blades were being used up |fast and were expensive at $199.00 each. I did not check such out but my point |was that in my work I would never go back and change the cost on a client if |it was my problem, my fault that I was not thorough in the quote and that adds |of any sort to the cost are never easy for the client to digest. Therefore, if |I wasn't losing on the job, which he admitted he wasn't, I would have swallowed |the $500.00 to keep the client 100% happy. I suggested if there was uncertainty, |he say it, plan in the extra $500.00 in the original quote, keep his time and ultimately charge less, if it worked out well--time and materials is a better quote with a not-to-exceed, then a surprise add on after starting the job! ( His |final test, which I think he will pass with flying colors, is to come back in better |weather--likely spring to complete a small repair job. But I was surprised that |he missed this one among the few others he did complete. Now this brownstone cap on a wall will get snow and water from the winter in the seams |he should have repaired.)

Description of Work: Vincent was great. The guys came out and worked long days and Vincent was here checking on and off throughout the day. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The brickwork looks amazing.

Description of Work: Removed old chimney liner connected to our furnace (which was a safety hazard) and replaced it with a stainless steel liner. Vincent and his crew responded quickly, worked hard and got the job done right. Since this was an unexpected home expense I was more impressed with how quickly he was able to deliver and at a very reasonable price. |I would definitely recommend

Description of Work: Will schedule service to repair cracked chimney the end of the month. Very professional, very prompt. I believe we will be very happy with their services. He suggested tearing down all the stucco and replacing it with stone which I thought was a fantastic idea however our budget does not allow for that at this time. We will do the repair for now and think about the stone in the future. |

+ 2 moreI called Vincent and he came to my home for the estimate. A prior contractor had told me I needed to replace the top of the chimney, but I did not believe the level of disrepair I could see required so extensive a solution. Vincent agreed and was constructive and creative in identifying a way to meet the goal without breaking the bank. It was obvious he was knowledgeable and experienced by the way he clearly described what could be done to make this a good job without going over the top. He told me he could do the repairs the next day and asked for half before and half after the work was complete. I agreed - he gave me a signed contract and I wrote him a check. The next day he was on time, despite an early morning drizzle, and his team had a scaffolding up and they were at work. Within a few hours, you could never have told the chimney had ever been in need of repair. Cleanup left the place just as it had been before the work. Vincent called me when the repair was complete (I was away) and showed an obvious pride in his work as he walked me to the base of the chimney and showed me how he had accomplished the goal. I paid the balance by check and then received the contract with "Paid in full".
Description of Work: Repointing and chimney caps. Exterior cleaning of moss on chimney. Replacement of a chimney brick that was damaged.
