Owners Cory and Kevin Gardner started Gardner Painting, LLC., in 2016 with the purpose to pay homage to their father, Brian Gardner. Brian was a lifelong painter and active member of his community. Brian was a passionate little league baseball coach as well as the president of the Meriden Raiders football league. When Brian unexpectedly passed away in May of 2016 he donated his viable organs to people in need, saving two lives. Brian continued to give to others even in his death. Cory and Kevin started Gardner Painting LLC., with the purpose of continuing their father’s legacy of giving back to the community through painting. Cory received a college education and has a background in sales. Kevin has 10+ years of painting knowledge. Together the Gardner brothers provide their customers with a personalized experience and exceptional high-quality service.
Everyone I interacted with were very professional. They described the work to be done in detail and followed up with doing the work very professionally. Upon completion they did a thorough walk through of all the painted surfaces and did appropriate touch ups. They also did a nice cleanup of area around the house.

My house was in pretty rough shape. It hadn't been painted in 20 years. They tackled the job and went above and beyond my expectations. I love how my house looks now. They are courteous and friendly. Will refer them to anyone I know who is looking for a painting company.

Extremely professional company to deal with, beginning with Natalie who came to provide written estimate and Kevin regarding choosing color and scheduling. Natalie provided very detailed estimate and answered any questions I had. All were punctual, polite and professional. The morning of I had 4 individuals arrive, along with Kevin to coordinate the work schedule. I was given an estimate of 4 to 5 days to complete the work. Painters were incredibly hard workers and worked from 8 AM to 6 PM and finished the work in two days. I plan to hire them for any future painting necessary and highly recommend the Gardner Painting.

Despite telling me they are finished for over a month, They keep having to come back because their paint is chipping/peeling/cracking off the house. Also, they left paint chips everywhere and refuse to clean their mess satisfactorily. Every time they say they have addressed the problems, I find more chips on the ground and other areas where paint is coming off the house already. Besides failing to paint properly, or clean up their mess, I note the following: 1. They splashed paint on my roof deck, which I use. Supposedly their insurance is going to pay for it. They claim their company will call me, but they haven't. Now, they want me to call their insurance to repair their damages. Why are they putting me in the position of having to chase their company when they damaged my property? 2. The first crew smoked, getting annoying smoke in my house and throwing their butts in my rain barrel. 3. Same crew destroyed about 10 mature plantings in two beds near the house. When I told the owner, the crew pulled the plants out and hid them and claimed they were weeds. Gardner offered me $150 for 10 plants....these cost $50-100 new each, plus the cost to have them planted, mulched etc. 4. The owner accused me of using a metal tool to scrape paint off. Right in front of him I popped a huge blister with my fingernail. 5. Owner said, standing near my front steps, that all chips were cleaned up. There were/are chips, on the front steps of my house still. 5. My fault, I didn't read the contract carefully, but they omitted sanding from the job. Every other contractor bid the job around the same price, and included sanding, not just scraping. Read their quote very carefully. 6. They painted at least two days in the morning when rain was forecast for the afternoon. They say this is OK, I believe it contributed to the adherence problems. 7. When I saw the poor job the first crew was doing, I contacted the owners who told me that I was being picky, and should wait until they were finished to complain. So I did. But I tried to avoid this, because I saw it coming. Owner also said the crew at my house had gotten great reviews for them. One of the crew of two told me it was his first job for Gardner. 8. I had told their quote person Natalie, the first crew and the owners that paint chips were zero tolerance because I have a puppy, grandchild, children and gardens. There are still chips around my house. 9. The owners constantly wanted me to do a walkthrough, but I refuse to do a punch list until they clean up the obvious problems. There's no need for a punch list when I can find peeling paint and chips on the ground within 2 feet of the front door. I can only imagine what I'm going to find when I check the soffit and fascia. So today, as a result of Gardner Painting working at my house, we have the following: 1. A poor paint job that began cracking and peeling immediately. 2. Paint chips in my lawn, flower beds, driveway, stairs and under my deck. 3. Paint splattered on my deck that supposedly their insurance is going to cover but I haven't heard from. 4. 10 plants destroyed then pulled out, for which they've offered me $15/plant. If anyone knows a landscaper that will do this, please let me know. Gardner says they are done trying to clean up and repair their poor paint job. If I don't take the $150 for the plants and their promise of insurance on the roof deck, and pay them in full, they will put a lien on my house. They're threatening me on the same day I sent them 14 pictures each with paint coming off the house or chips on the ground. There are a lot of other painters, I would avoid these g...

Did a great job. Timely. Friendly. Professional. The only reason I gave them only a 4 for value is because I don't know if others charge less for the same quality because I rarely use painting services. But, as someone who hates contractors due to numerous poor experiences, save yourself the headache and hire these guys. No issues.

Great communication and on-time service. They re-painted the front of our house's trim, peak and shutters in a clean, professional fashion. They matched up a specialty color from our new front door in a great manner. I'd recommend them to anyone.

The sales team was not only friendly, but helpful when trying to finalize colors, bringing paint samples out to the house for us. Halfway thru the project of painting the exterior of our home, a member of the team did an on-site visit to see how the house project was going. The painters were on time each day and worked very hard to to complete the project in a timely manner. Setup was great, protecting the cars from paint and the yard was left clean afterwards with no paint traces as well. Everyone on the team was a pleasure to work with.

I knew I would be hiring this company because the person who came for the estimate asked questions and offered suggestions that the other three companies did not - questions that were important to do a good job on the house. She was extremely personable, professional and "knew her stuff." The company worked around my schedule too. The crew just finished today - great tradesmen! The look of the house is fantastic. They were, again, personable, professional, hard working men who didn't "cut corners" on the painting of the exterior. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have some painting done, definitely recommend them. My house is mid-century modern, so not an easy job, and painted in the original three colour scheme - not easy to do. They did it and it looks great. The house, being mid-century, is built into the sharp sloping of my property. With the flat paint and the colours it looks as if the house is a natural part of the hill, every "organic" in the Frank Lloyd Wight-esque ideas of buildings on land.

Overall very pleased with this company. Did not get to the job as quickly as we would have liked, but some of this was due to weather and some due to me asking them to delay as we had visitors. Quoting process was professional and efficient. Pricing very competitive. Quality of job was good. Some of our woodwork was very old with many coats of paint so it was difficult to get a totally smooth surface. This was explained during the job and some alternatives were offered. Follow up and communication during the job was excellent. The production manager checked the quality several times during the job and after. He was not completely satisfied with the cleanup and the painting on one of the windows so he came back the next day and finished the clean up and put another coat on the window. One of the most professional and high quality contractors I have ever worked with. They are sincerely concerned about the quality of their work and the satisfaction of the customer. I highly recommend Gardiner Painting.

Great experience from Natalie for the estimate to Kevin and Corey on the business end. The paint crew was meticulous, neat and did a beautiful job. Special thanks for getting my project done expeditiously despite rainy weather and my short timeline. Overall, a pleasure to work with.
