I don't remember the approximate cost of service.

I like the fact that you make an appointment you go there you don't have to wait. The staff is very helpful. They could've very well stated that we needed a new computer but they suggested that we get this from fixed, so that was appreciated.

I entered the store. A greeter asked for my name, then told me to wait next to a display table. In about 5 minutes, a sales consultant joined me. I handed him a printed list I had prepared that described the uses for which I planned to buy a computer. He recommended a 13-inch MacBook Pro. This was precisely the model I had already decided to buy. I asked him whether I should, instead, buy a more expensive and powerful laptop, and he told me that the model he recommended would provide all the services I wished with minimal cost. So, I took his advice and placed my order.

I would give them an A+. I appreciate their Genius Bar service. The people there at the Genius Bar are very knowledgable and very helpful and the best part is that the service is free.

Received call saying computers were ready for pick-up at Apple Store. Went in the next day to scene of chaos. Apple makes great products and has excellent results in the stock market, but someone needs to take a hard look at their service. We pushed our way through the milling throng to find a "greeter" of sorts. This one called someone in the back room by phone and asked us to wait. She did not take responsibility for solving the probmem, just passed it along to some faceless person in the back room. After about 20 minutes of watching the masses of wierd people working there mill around staring at their phones and not offering to help, we asked another "greeter" what was going on. He said they were short staffed in the back room and asked us to wait. Again, no offer to assist or take responsibility for providing a simple service. We waited and waited some more. The crowds milled. Many tempers grew short. The staff stared at their phones and preened their hairdos, polished the metal prongs through various of their body parts, and generally did nothing to help. Finally, I sought our adult intervention and spoke to someone in a black tee shirt. Again, no offer to solve the problem, much less an apology for the sloppy service. After another long interval, we finally got our computers, probably well serviced and certainly good products. Apple is a great company in many ways, but it can't sustain its position if it hates its customers and provides service one would expect in a third world socialist economy. Later did web search for "terrible service at Apple Store." Looks like this is a common reaction. Apple had best wake up on the service side.
