Service Provider ResponseAt Bill’s Landscaping we pride ourselves on our commitment to the customer, when this matter came to my attention via this client's review I made several attempts to call him with no response. I would like to take the time today to give my side of the story. First off I would like to address his several mentions of leaving messages with our answering service, this service is only available during nights and weekends, our office hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm, at which time our office administrator, assistant, or I myself will answer any and all phone calls. Our company policy is that we try to contact all customers within 24 hrs. of their initial call for a quote, as he stated above I had gone out to the property and given him a verbal quote within 2 days of his request. I gave him the quote of $425.00 to do a spring cleanup of his yard, and mailed out a hard copy that very same day, which he agreed to. We are able to email and fax these quotes to potential customers right away and it is our preferred method. The purpose of these written and signed quotes is to protect not only our company it is to protect the customer. He also failed to mention that in between the quote I gave him and the day we started the job he had tree work done which created a sizeable amount of debris that was not present on the property at the time I gave him the quote, and as a courtesy I did not change the original quote to reflect the difference in the amount of time and work that was put into completing the job. The month of May is a very busy month for our type of business, specifically with spring cleanups. With summer right around the corner we have only so much time to complete these types of jobs. We have an average wait time of 2-3 weeks per job accepted, which we communicate to each potential customer at that time the quote is given, and make every attempt to accommodate each customer’s individual needs. Weather permitting!! I would also like to address his accusations that my crew went out to the property and only mowed the yard and did not rake up the sticks, leaves, and debris left over from the winter and tree work he had performed. My foreman Carol was on site from the time his crew started till they finished. Carol has a flawless record, I literally receive customer compliments and praise weekly about Carols work ethic, quality, and customer service. We have numerous customers who request Carol and his crew to be their one and only landscape team. I don’t want to waste too much time debating the pictures he posted except to say that they are not date or time stamped and one of his after pictures is of the side yard he requested we do not do (as stated in his review). I believe they speak for themselves. The last thing I would like to say is that as he pointed out he was invoiced for the services performed but as of this month we have not received payment for those services. He has not made any attempt to resolve this matter other than the above review. I have not pursued any further action to collect his payment due to his quote “lack of satisfaction”, which leads me to believe he may have had no intention of paying us from the beginning. I have made several attempts to contact him to resolve any and all issues; he has not put forth the effort to meet me halfway. My hope is that in the future any new potential customers that read the above review give us the chance to prove that we are a cut above the rest. We have several letters from new and long standing customers on our website and Facebook page who stand behind Bill’s landscaping as there one and only landscape provider.
