They are very professional. They cut grass, do fall leaves removal and the like.They give discounts to seniors like me. A professional man comes out to negotiate the contract. When you ask for discounts, they give you 50 bucks off or $100 for big jobs. They have a decent price for landscaping. They are very good with lawn work. They do what you ask them to. They are primarily a business landscaping service but they work with customers. They do such a great job and my grass is starting to look better.

It took the owner about 2 days to visit the property and mail a quote. He would not schedule the work until I signed an agreement aggreeing to the price of $425.00 I signed and hand-delivered the document two days later. I called the day after I dropped off the document to find out when a date and time had been scheduled, but found that none had. I asked for a call-back to get the date. No one called back. I called again the following day and was told "early next week, probably on Tuesday". I replied that was good and that they could perform the work whether I was home or not. Tuesday came and went with no status call. I mistakenly assumed that they would arrive the next day, but again no show. When I called on Wednesday to find out the status, again no call-back. I called again on Friday, and told the answering service that if I didn't get a call back that I would be finding another company. The owner called back in 15 minutes and said that he would be out on the following Tuesday. Tuesday came, but it was raining, but no call either. Wednesday and Thursday, more rain and no show. I called to query their schedule and was informed that they don't rake in the rain as it can damage the lawn. The owner indicated that he would complete the job on Friday or Saturday, weather permitting.When I checked the property on the Sunday, the work had been completed, but in my opinion all that was done was grass cutting for the entire coverage area and raking around one bush in the back yard. All of the sticks, leaves and needles were still there. So many that, I mistakenly assumed that they would return to complete the job. I called the owner again through their answering service and asked for a call-back. The owner called me back within a half-hour. I repeated what I believed the "Spring Cleanup" consisted of as mentioned above and the owner concurred. I told him that he must not have been at my home when the job was done as it appeared that nothing was done other than a grass cutting. He indicated that he was at the house when the job was done but would return to see what I was referring to and determine if he needed to return. To my knowledge he has not returned and he has not called to clarify, but I did receive his bill/invoice.The reason why I wanted this work done was because I have a riding mower (and it doesn't cost me 425.00 to cut this area of the lawn), but I accepted the price because I knew the hard work would be to rake up the small sticks and leaves and acorns, etc., which are potential shooting projectiles into my siding. So, Bill's Landscaping did not perform the work as specified. They cut the lawn just like I could have done and potentially may have shot some of this debris against my vinyl siding, the exact reason why I wanted them to rake in the first place. I am very disappointed. I took photographs to show what little was done other than to cut the grass.

Description of Work
Had a lot of debris on lawn from winter storms. The big stuff had been cut up and removed by another company, but what was left was a mix of very small sticks, along with maple and oak leaves and pine needles in conjunction with grass that needed cutting. The landscaper indicated that they had a service called, "Spring Cleanup", which consisted of raking the lawn and removing the small sticks and leaves and cutting the lawn to give a nice overall appearance. The area consisted of the four sides around the home and an adjacent field. I asked that the entire area be cut and trimmed but that only the four sides around the home need to have the additional detailed raking to remove the sticks, leaves and needles I told them that they could use an area behind my home to dispose of any collected raked material so that they would not have to transfer the collected materials elsewhere.

At Bill’s Landscaping we pride ourselves on our commitment to the customer, when this matter came to my attention via this client's review I made several attempts to call him with no response. I would like to take the time today to give my side of the story. First off I would like to address his several mentions of leaving messages with our answering service, this service is only available during nights and weekends, our office hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm, at which time our office administrator, assistant, or I myself will answer any and all phone calls. Our company policy is that we try to contact all customers within 24 hrs. of their initial call for a quote, as he stated above I had gone out to the property and given him a verbal quote within 2 days of his request. I gave him the quote of $425.00 to do a spring cleanup of his yard, and mailed out a hard copy that very same day, which he agreed to. We are able to email and fax these quotes to potential customers right away and it is our preferred method. The purpose of these written and signed quotes is to protect not only our company it is to protect the customer. He also failed to mention that in between the quote I gave him and the day we started the job he had tree work done which created a sizeable amount of debris that was not present on the property at the time I gave him the quote, and as a courtesy I did not change the original quote to reflect the difference in the amount of time and work that was put into completing the job. The month of May is a very busy month for our type of business, specifically with spring cleanups. With summer right around the corner we have only so much time to complete these types of jobs. We have an average wait time of 2-3 weeks per job accepted, which we communicate to each potential customer at that time the quote is given, and make every attempt to accommodate each customer’s individual needs. Weather permitting!! I would also like to address his accusations that my crew went out to the property and only mowed the yard and did not rake up the sticks, leaves, and debris left over from the winter and tree work he had performed. My foreman Carol was on site from the time his crew started till they finished. Carol has a flawless record, I literally receive customer compliments and praise weekly about Carols work ethic, quality, and customer service. We have numerous customers who request Carol and his crew to be their one and only landscape team. I don’t want to waste too much time debating the pictures he posted except to say that they are not date or time stamped and one of his after pictures is of the side yard he requested we do not do (as stated in his review). I believe they speak for themselves. The last thing I would like to say is that as he pointed out he was invoiced for the services performed but as of this month we have not received payment for those services. He has not made any attempt to resolve this matter other than the above review. I have not pursued any further action to collect his payment due to his quote “lack of satisfaction”, which leads me to believe he may have had no intention of paying us from the beginning. I have made several attempts to contact him to resolve any and all issues; he has not put forth the effort to meet me halfway. My hope is that in the future any new potential customers that read the above review give us the chance to prove that we are a cut above the rest. We have several letters from new and long standing customers on our website and Facebook page who stand behind Bill’s landscaping as there one and only landscape provider. Thank you for taking the time to read my response, I look forward to any business I may receive from this site in the future.

I have used them every summer for the last four years. He also does the spring clean-up and the fall clean-up. He comes when he should and doesn't when he shouldn't. The workers are very pleasant. He is not the cheapest option but I think that I am getting value for what I pay.
