+ 1 moreHe did not pay attention when the project was described to him. On completion, there were missing pieces which we pointed out to him. He became extremely defensive and walked away. A little later his wife called us and threatened to sue us if we did not pay him the entire $1,400. She insulted us and called us cheap and dishonest. We had to convince him to come back and complete the work, which he finally agreed to do in a much more scaled down fashion. We did not pursue the case any further because he was so old and we were scared that he would have had a heart attack, but we will obviously not deal with him again. He did shoddy work and had a very high opinion of himself. He in punctual but communcation and professionalism is horrible. We live in a small town and he went around town spreading a bad name for us. Wouldn't recommend working with him.
Description of Work: Dick was hired to do a retaining wall structure on the two sides of the driveway. He had done similar work for the previous owner of the house. He was local.
