Dapp Painting & Drywall

This company was hired by coldwel banker to paint my house. Their work was extremely sub par. They failed to the the drywall repairs and missed 30% of the painting. They sent another guy to my house today who brought his tweaker and son along. They proceeded to ransack my house and steal over $7500 worth of my belongings. Nothing shy of a horror story

Not good. Mistakes were made. He was over priced for the work. He did not come back to fix errors. He had a big job that he wanted to get to so I think my job suffered as a result. I just paid him to be rid of him. Nice guys though.

It went terrible. They sent people who did not know what they were doing and we had to redo about a third of their work. We had to buy a lot of material to repair it which ended up costing us about $600 in materials and labor. We had to finish the job ourselves and we would never use them again.

The first day it was 10:30am, the second was about the same, and the third day was past 11am when he finally showed. He actually said, to my face, the reason he was late because he was hung over. Very unprofessional and considering the fourth and fifth days were past 11am as well I can only assume it was for the same reason. Especially because I told him specifically that I had plans on the fifth day (for he was supposed to be done by then) and I needed him to show up no later than 9:30am but that was ignored and he blessed me with his presence past 11am, again. He also had a poor attitude which I truly wouldn't care if the work was done as told and he didn't show halfway through the day, making my day useless. I understand that drywall mud takes time to dry but if he would have used 45 minute or 90 minute mud then the job could have been completed on time. The drywall looks fine. The texture looks fine. I'm glad it is done. After the job was completed I received multiple calls for same day payment. I requested an invoice and a mailing address and they were persistent on no mail and they wanted to pick it up directly; which seems odd to me. I decided to pay with credit so that I didn't have to wait on them for another day. David really wanted a check instead but I didn't want anymore contact and just be done with it. To wrap it up, for decent work and decent price I would never use this company again for the reasons of: lack of respect of deadlines, lack of respect for decent work hours and lack of respect for direct requests. Full disclosure: I only worked with Mike, so maybe this doesn't speak for the company but I know my experience was far, far from good. Update: I am now also having a hard time getting a invoice showing payment in full.

This was the best experience I have had with a professional painter. There price was competitive and service was excellent. The best part was there availability to start there job within a week of the estimate. I would recommend them and have them do work for me in the future.

I had a painter lined up to start on 11/9, but unfortunately that painter was non-responsive 2 weeks before starting the job.  I looked around and found David's company.  He has good reviews so I called him.  I was impressed that he called me back quickly and then said he could give me a quote over the phone without having to go to the house however, it would be finalized/ confirmed once he saw it.  At that point, I knew I was working with someone who had been doing it for so long that it would be a good thing.  I walked him through the house and I was quoted a price.  I asked if he could wait a few days to ensure all would go through with the home inspection and he said yes.  After getting the green light, I called him up and we met at the job site. He walked the house and noticed one tiny thing he forgot to ask about which caused the quote to go up ever so slightly and to me it was no big deal since he had not see the home.  I was totally on board with the updated quote.  He told me what to buy in regards to supplies (how much of each paint color, amount of tape, etc. etc.)  I headed to the paint store and Home Depot and all was ready for his crew to start on Monday.  David does not ask for any money until the job is complete and to the customers satisfaction, that's what I call a true professional that trusts and guarantees his work.  They painted the entire house in 5 days, as planned.  The paint they were covering up and the texture caused them to re-roll sections, but David and Sergio were very accommodating and did it without hesitation. We met again for a final walk through, found a few spots to touch up, but again all was done willingly and they put us first to ensure we were happy. 

All in all, I am so glad I went with David.  I will use him again for future projects.  Sergio is very knowledgeable and all worked out well.  Thank you David and Sergio!

I had the whole interior of my home painted.

David was very quick to respond to our initial request for a quote, which was competitive, and once we selected him he got right to work. The best thing about working with David is his communication. David was great about letting us know how things progressed throughout the job. If we didn't pick up the phone, we'd have an email a few minutes later giving me the latest update. Our deck looks great and David even took the time to talk us through maintaining the beautiful work he had done.

He was really good.  They were on time, they finished on time and did a great job.  The price was reasonable.

Mike showed up promptly on Monday and competed the project by Tuesday, and we were back on track with our project.  His work was very good, very professional, and it looks great. He was polite, prompt and very clean and tidied up after the job was completed.  We would highly recommend Dapp Painting and Drywall because of David's prompt reply, and Mike's great work.

David was excellent in calling me each morning and updating me on what he expected to happen that day. Mike, his employee, performed excellent work. They were both very experienced, friendly and easy to work with.

Our daughters birthday is this weekend.  She has 8 friends for a sleepover.  We bought the house a year ago (foreclosure).  It was painted a barn red.  We live in a forest in the mountains so this did not blend well with the surroundings.  Our daughter wanted to have the house painted before her birthday.  We got two referrals and found David on Angie's for a third bid.  David and the other lower bid were close.  David was able to get the job done before the birthday - thanks David and crew.  We have had a lot of painting done for us through the years.  This crew was probably the best we have ever had except one thing.  They had painted some shutters on the ground so we ended up with 4 black squires on the ground.  David called around to get professional advise on what to do to save the grass (it does not grow real well up here).  There was another issue that was a misunderstanding.  David adjusted the bill for our inconvenience.  That does not happen often.
Thanks David and crew for a job well done.  We would have David and crew back again in a heart beat.

I have used this provider on five home improvement projects and have always been very satisfied. I have also referred them to numerous family members and friends. Several of them have also used this provider and were all very satisfied, as well. They always communicated with me on the status of the work and were dependable and reliable. Also very eager when I would add little things throughout the project. Courteous and professional! So nice to have such an eager and compliant home repair company that is so versatile!

They repaired drywall, tiled a backsplash (which required removal and re-installation of the vanity), painted and sealed all the tile in the entire bathroom. Everything turned out great and they made sure everything was to my satisfaction before considering the job finished.

changed my mind several times to add more work for them to do, everything was done as requested, great work, fencing, deck repair, painting, drywall, ceramic time clean up and grout, did extras they found that would make the job requested look more professional. 
they were in touch with me at all times to make sure all work was as requested and had my satisfaction.

The crew showed up on time each and every day and they kept a very clean work area . All the work was done in a professional manner and they did an excellent job . The workmanship was excellent and the workers were polite and courteous . On a scale of 1 to 10 - 10 being the best I would rate them at a 10 . I would recommend them to my friends ,and neighbors and have done so twice .
