Tubby Appliance

I purchased a Big Deal ($25 for $50 toward repair plus free service call) on March 10th. I input several dates/times for service and received no reply. Angie's List sent a follow up email on the 13th, and I input more times/dates. Still nothing. The last contact was March 17th or so, when I called and left a detailed voicemail. No reply of any kind. I still have a broken dryer!

It went well, however, he misdiagnosed the problem at the outset. He replaced a valve in the waterline, which was costly and unnecessary before replacing the ice maker which fixed the problem. The problem was fixed and the appliance is working fine now, but it cost an extra hundred dollars that I wasn't expecting to pay.

Paul was dilgent about identifying the root cause of us no longer getting ice from our ice machine. Our ice maker is now running perfectly and we are back on track. Paul explained how the process worked and what the repair entailed prior to performing the work so we understood the process. We appreciate his responsiveness and dependability. We have recommended Tubby Appliance to friends and family based on the experience and quality of service he provided. Thank you for taking such good care of us. OUTSTANDING!

Paul returns calls, shows up on time, or calls if the prior job is running long, brings what he needs, and does a great job. He's done 3 jobs for me. I'll call him whenever I have a repair. Thanks Paul.

My dishwasher was having intermittent leaks - the worst kind, because it was hard to "catch it in the act." Paul knew precisely just what needed to be done to solve the problem. He showed me where stuff was hiding under the bottom of the door, cleaned it out, and voila! No more leaks. A huge relief - I was afraid we were going to need to replace the water pump or perform some other drastic repair. Please use Paul Tubbs the next time you have an issue with your dishwasher. Everything went well. Paul knows dishwashers from years doing warranty work so it didn't take him long to figure out what was wrong. Paul priced the parts and I decided to replace rather than repair. Paul just charged for a service call.

He does not do compressor replacement. He did not charge for the service call even though he went back and forth to the supply house. I will use his service for any other repairs we might need in the future. Paul is a real gentleman and a knowledgeable craftsman.

The heating element in our oven exploded (or at least that is what it sounded like to my daughters and me!) My husband changed the heating element but the oven still would not work. Paul came to our house and diagnosed that the control board had been fried when the element went out. He told us what he would charge to get the part and fix it, but also told us that it was really a simple fix and explained to my husband what needed to be ordered and how to install it. Paying for the service call was well worth knowing what was wrong and that we could fix it on our own. I called Tubby's again yesterday because the gas valve had gone out on our water heater. I spoke to Paul and explained the issue to him and he again was incredibly friendly and so very helpful. He was more than happy to come and look at it and help us get it up and running but he was sure that it should be and quot;plug and playand quot; and that we could probably do it ourselves. And he was right. My husband got the part switched out this afternoon and we have hot water again, but definitely feel like Paul's encouragement made it feel do-able. I cannot recommend Tubby Appliance highly enough. Paul is friendly, professional, and very honest. I hope we don't need his services again, but the next appliance that malfunctions Tubby Appliance will be our first call!

When I was only paying for a service call, the technician/owner taught me how to fix it myself after I could not afford the labor time. Talk about going an extra mile. Previously he fixed a different washing machine and a freezer for me - both at a very reasonable price - and he comes back if you have any related or non related issues for 60 days. Awesome service, will definitely continue to use. THANK YOU

Paul came to fix the leaking refrigerator at 8pm on the day I contacted him. It was an emergency because the floor was getting wet and warping. This happened at a rental property I own, and I inadvertently gave Paul the wrong address. When he called me to say no one was answering the door we discovered the mistake, and he didn't get mad - just laughed it off and went to the correct house. He discovered the issue and fixed it. He could not have been more nice or professional. If I could give him a higher rating than an and quot;Aand quot; I would. By the way, this is the first time I called Tubby Appliance for anything, so I'm not an existing customer, but I will be for now on!

Extremely well. When we called for service he asked some details, so he could be more prepared for the service. He arrived with the scheduled time window. After reviewing the issue he determined he need a different part. He ordered the part and planned an appointment for the next week. He changed his source for the part to more responsive and came back the next week and promptly fixed the issue. He was fairly priced and very pleasant.

We contacted Paul, he was the only appliance repair company that would come out that same day we called. He seriously saved the day. Our Electrolux washer had been leaking water for several days, we couldn't find the problem. We called him, he gave us a time even called us as per our request when he was on his way so that we can met him at our home didn't have to leave work and wait for hours. He was honest, professional just overall a very nice guy. Gave us the cost for the part, we ok'd it...he bought it, came back and fixed it, the price was very reasonable less than what we were expecting. Thank you very much, you will definitely be recommended to friends and family :-)

Our refrigerator recently stopped working for no obvious reason, so I called Tubby Appliance. Paul Tubbs showed up on the same day to assess the problem and obtain the necessary parts for repair. He quickly identified an integrated fuse on refrigerator's motherboard as the likely culprit (years of experience with warranty fulfillment has honed his diagnostic skills) and promised to come by the next day with a replacement. Before leaving, Paul advised me that the part was a bit pricey, showing me the retail listing on his smartphone to verify the cost. He returned the next day at the specified time to install the new motherboard, taking care of that in a jiffy. Labor was lump sum for the job, so parts and labor were reasonable in the end, esp. given Paul's rapid response time. Based on my experience with Tubby Appliance, I would not hesitate to call Paul again for an appliance repair.

He was prompt and friendly. He explained everything he did to fix our problem and seemed very knowledgeable about it. He spent quite awhile switching our door also. He said that if we didn't like it opening that way, he would come back for free and put it back to the original way. We definitely have Tubby on our phone list for future problems with any of our appliances.

Paul was very professional, courteous, and informative; he told us about the testing procedures he was performing, explaining the 'why' he was doing it and so on. We learned a lot about refrigerators. He had that refrigerator checked out from top to bottom! After he determined that the compressor was bad, he put it all back together, packed up his tools and said he could not fix it. We asked him what we owed him for his time, and he said and quot;nothingand quot; -- If he cannot fix your appliance he doesn't even charge you a service call! WOW! This guy is awesome, very honest and loves what he does. We would recommend Paul to anyone and everyone that might need his honest and open services. We did give him a 'tip' for his time and trouble (and gasoline)-- he certainly deserved it!

As usual, Paul was very prompt and thorough. It needed replacement parts, which he had to drive to Denver to get. He made the drive down from our house in the mountains and returned the same day and completed the repair. Everything is working fine now. We continue to be impressed and will call upon him when the need arises.

I don't remember his name but he told me rather than come out and charge me for something I could most likely fix, he gave me the directions to fix this my self. Once I figured out where the panel was to clean out the pump filter I was able to take care of this myself. His honesty was something you don't find often, especially in this field. If I would have called another provider it would have cost me up to $200, I would have had to take a day of work, and it probably would not have been fixed until the middle of the week. I like to take on self repair projects so I can't tell you how much I appreciated this. Not to mention saving money that I don't have!

Paul was terrific. I called him about noon on a Saturday and told him about the problem. He came that afternoon, diagnosed the problem promptly, had the part to fix it in his truck and made the repair right then. Everything is working properly and the area is cleaner when he left than when he arrived. Couldn't ask for anything more -- he's cheerful, prompt and helpful. I've used him before and will definitely use him again whenever the need arises.

Everything was a great experience. He was working my refrigerator and freezer combo as the ice maker was not working. The gentleman that came out did above and beyond at no extra charge.

They were nice enough to tell me they don'e work on gas stoves and that I need a plumber. I got this refunded.

Found Tubby Appliance on Angie's List and could not be happier. We had a sudden leak under our LG washer. Paul was responsive and arrived on appt. within 24 hours. He diagnosed the problem quickly, found the part in Denver and returned to fix the problem. He then checked everything else out and offered a 30 day guarantee on the whole machine, not just the part. Will recommend Tubby to anyone who asks.

There were 2 men and it was obvious that they liked the challenge and worked well together. A part was needed and it was already 5pm so by 7, I did not expect a follow up that evening. However one man came and completed the work.Excellent service and nice men to work with.
