Spalenka Tile and Stone

The owner, Nikola Spalenka is very knowledgeable and professional. He explained every step and process of cleaning and restoring our double shower tile to its original look. His background and work experience was very impressive. Nikola ensures the customer understands the importance of restoring tile through a step process so the natural stone can properly breath before the final layers of seal are applied. We highly recommend his work.

Nikola did a wonderful job with recaulking, re grouting, and cleaning our shower. He thoroughly explained what all needed to be done and broke down the price in a very clear way. We felt confident in his work and think it looks great! He also patched our flooring and kitchen while he was working on the shower. We will definitely be using him again in the future and would recommend him!

Where do I start?!? I’d hire Nik again in a heartbeat. Same day estimate. Gave us an extremely fair price and broke it down for us. Walked into a 90% done DIY. Told us what/why he would have done certain things differently as a professional but was quick to praise what we did. Walked me through every detail I asked about. Scheduled install for the next day when I gave him the green light. Showed up and got right down to it. He was super awesome about letting the kids watch and answering their questions. My husband and I were extremely comfortable having him in our home. We had several unavoidable hiccups from both sides and still finished two days before his deadline. He fixed several mistakes we made. Changed plans several times as new information came up or I changed my mind(sorry). He was super quick to give me his professional opinion with explanations when I couldn’t make a decision. He made a HUGE mess and cleaned every bit of it up before he left. Even some of the tools that were at our house were neatly out of the way. Needless to say I was very impressed with Nik’s ability to swoop in and match what we had as well as fix some of it. Nik redid our wood burning fireplace with natural ledger panel stone and travertine slab. He is extremely knowledgeable about tile and it's install and gave us advice throughout the whole project on what materials would hold up best in the long term. We love the final look of the fireplace and it has completely transformed our living room! Nik showed excellent attention to detail on the precise cutting and installation of the ledger panels and the results speak for themselves. He painstakingly marked, measured, and cut the individual stone pieces for all the corner work to soften the the final look and avoid hard edges. The only negative on the job was that initially he was very confident in completing the job in two days which seemed to us to be extremely fast for the amount of work we expected it to take. In the end, the install did require another two days to complete and was not an issue for us but could set the wrong expectation. Minor issue, and we love the finished product!

Nik is a creative, skillful craftsman who loves his work and loves to please his customers. He brings a contagious joyful energy to his work and is filled with genuine kindness. He goes the extra mile and is a fantastic designer! Because of him, we now have a work of art atop our dining room table. The table had mirror inserts which we removed. Nick placed vinyl wood flooring pieces in a beautiful display which he designed to cover the top of the table. What a joyful welcome Nik added to our kitchen and dining space.

Nic did a beautiful job in tiling the dining room floor and is a good communicator. Skilled artisan w/an artist's eye. Not as thorough as I am in cleanup, but didn't mind cuz I love the finished result!

Nikola did a great job on our kitchen backsplash. Glass tile is difficult to work with, but Nikola handled it with ease and the end result exceeded our expectations. He did the job exactly as we wanted it, as scheduled, for the price estimated, and did a great job communicating with us throughout the project. We will definitely use Nikola again for future work.

Hired Nik to replace 300 sq ft of tile in a hallway and bathroom including a heavy demo. Happy with the work, no surprises on cost or timeline. All as estimated and quality work.

Nik helped us install a kitchen backsplash that we ran out of steam to complete ourselves. He was punctual, a good communicator, and the job came out looking great. I'm pretty picky about how I like things to look and I'm happy with the outcome. I felt his cleanup at the end could have been a little more thorough as I had to cleanup leftover grout and splashes on my cabinets.

Nik did a great job replacing the tile in 2 bathrooms. The work was high quality. Nik even helped us solve another issue.

Nik was very accomodating to a couple of small hiccups in the job. He completed the work on schedule. He was also great about communicating.

Very good experience laying the tile and making sure it was all aligned correctly. Great communication and was on time for the job. Had a few things come up but was nice about fixing them when I brought it up.

Nick was great. He was able to work around my crazy work schedule and able to get the job done in a very timely manner. I will be calling him back in the future for additional tile work that I need
