This Realtor listed our home for sale in April. She insisted that my wife had to sign every document for the sale even though she was not listed on the title. This simply was not true. This caused us to lose at least one sale that was better than the offer we eventually accepted. This was because we were not able to sign paperwork and get it back to her in time. We had to move to another state immediately so that I could start another job. This made it difficult to get the paperwork reviewed, signed, and sent back to her. She did NOTHING to give us more time to complete the paperwork. I see no reason why she could not have asked for an extension of time by just a day. Not to mention that it was NOT necessary for my wife to sign ANY paperwork to sell our house. We also missed another sale because she did not know that we did not have to actually have cash to give closing assistance to a buyer. I found out from the next agent that the Title company could simply take any closing assistance out of the profits from the sale on the day of closing. She complained alot to us about selling the house because it had solar panels. I don't care what features a house has, if a Realtor is willing to take on the contract, then they should be prepared to deal with any issue of selling that house. Isn't that her JOB? She did know everything about the house before she signed the contract. She did not turn on the heat in our house when it got cold during April. The temperature was near 70 degrees on the day we left(April 4th). But as is common in Colorado there were 4 or 5 snow storms that month and it got cold again. Since the heat was not on a pipe in our basement froze and burst. I had to pay $115 to fix the pipe and wall damage. I think that it is the Realtor's job to take care of a house when they are under contract to sell it. We were not in town and could not do that. We had depended on her to do that for us. She also did not let us know when the yard needed maintenance. This caused us problems too. I could have had someone turn on the sprinkler system to water the lawn, tree, and bushes. But, instead I lost a small tree and a large bush because they dried out. This cost us over $600 to replace them! When I complained to her about these issues she tried to blame ME and gave me nothing but alot of BS! She accepted NO responsibility for her lack of knowledge, and lack of assistance. I have no doubt that she will respond to this review with alot of lies, which I hope you will not believe. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this horrible Realtor...........
