Stellar Painting & Remodeling

We received quote from Home Depot and Stellar. The Stellar rep that showed up to measure made a number of disparaging remarks about Home Depot and how we don't want to go with them for our tile installation. Stellar's quote was $1,000 over Home Depot. We went with Home Depot and could not be more pleased with the results. Would have been a waste of $1,000 to go with Stellar.

The repair team leader that I met with was Desmond. He was very thorough and fair with the repair estimate, and the repair crew was punctual and did a good job. They went the extra mile and did smaller fixes to get my house ready to be painted, that I had not noticed prior to their job. The paint crew also was great. The crew chief Jason listened to all of my questions, and concerns and made great efforts to do the house painting to my satisfaction. The entire crew was patient and polite during the project, and worked hard to see that everything was done properly. The weather did not work in their favor during the job so they had to spend more time than anticipated to finish the job. On the next to last day of the job a problem with some warped wood was discovered. The carpentry crew came the next day which was a saturday to replace the damaged wood so the painting could be finished on monday. I was very impressed with the entire group of guys who worked on my home and would recommend them to my friends.

I was a part of the Home Owner’s Association and Builder’s so we used them to paint buildings. They have been great. They just replaced all the rotted wood and they are about to paint the whole building. The home owners were very happy that I provided their name. They came and replaced the boards while I was there and they were very professional and asked if they could walk on the floor and do different things. They were right on time and they said they would be at 10 and they were right on time at 10 and they called me that they were outside and if it is alright to come in. They were very good. They did a great job replacing all the boards.

We were moving into a new house and needed estimates for painting the entire interior of the house. Place the first call to this company and left a message. Two days later, made another call and left another message. Approximately three days later received a call and set up a date and time for the estimate. Date and time came and passed and no one showed up or called to explain. Painting companies are a dime a dozen. Your loss. UPDATE: 8/13/13 I received a telephone call this morning from Stellar Painting apologizing, of course. I was told that they had the appointment on the calendar for this upcoming weekend. I advised the lady that I would have never made it for this weekend, as I was going to be out of town. She said there must have been some kind of miscommunication and apologized. She also asked if I wanted to reschedule. I have other estimates coming this week, so I may or may not reschedule. Anyway, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that there was miscommunication in the scheduling.

Overall I am happy with Stellar. Although the job ran over time, there were a number of things that were overlooked in the initial estimate (the initial estimate was grossly inaccurate and was the subject of most frustration). But the guys that did the work were honest, knowledgeable, and did pretty good work. Considering the size of the job, tasks were done to adequate quality. The few items which I was unsatisfied with were corrected immediately.

I can not begin to say how amazing my house looks! I never thought it would end up looking like a brand new house. The neighbors cannot believe it either. People just can't stop looking at and commenting on the professional job that was done and the attention to detail that was achieved by the caring of this great company! I now have a house I am proud to show off and will maintain the beauty of it now that it was remodeled correctly. The entire staff of Stellar Painting and Remodel that I had the pleasure of dealing with was professional, courteous, and caring! I will recommend them to everyone! THANK YOU STELLAR!

After leaving a message, I received a call back the same day from the person in charge of remodels. I explained I have mold or mildew in the grout around my tub, and needed this repaired. I would also like to remodel the bathroom if it was affordable. The gentleman that called me told me he would not come out to do an estimate until the mold was tested. He told me to call back after this was done. I then called a mold mitigation company. The gentleman there said they usually don't come out to test until the tiles have been removed as he could test the grout but would not know if there was other mold growing behind the tiles. This put me in a catch-22 situation, so I decided to look for another company.

The crew that Stellar sent to our house was first class. They arrived early, took very few breaks and worked late to get the job done in 2.5 days. The results were top notch. The painting crew was professional, careful and courteous. We had no damage to any of our bushes/shrubs or other property. We are extremely pleased with the work and will consider this company again for other needs. That said, I will say that there is a bit of confusion when dealing with the front office. Seems like they may be experiencing difficulty handling all of their work. The results we got, however, will still bring us back to Stellar.

Stellar Painting & Remodeling gave me a great estimate. They were professional, listened to what I had to say, gave me a higher estimate but he said he was going to do that so that we have a way of working down from there. My wife said that this was going to be too expensive for us to do it at this time so we didn't work with him other than the initial estimate. I saved his card so I'll be calling him if we'll have something done in the house.

They did a great job. It was a good deal. They painted like all the top edges on my building and they didn't even to have stand on a ladder he just stood like some people are so tall and he just stood there and he just did a nice little job of painting the whole thing. They were very nice and very professional. They had to do something like four coats when they did my kitchen, because the paint I chose takes a long time to dry and if you don't put enough coats on its kind would have translucent spot. It is not an easy kitchen paint even though none of the walls are really big the color I chose is dark like Burgundy kind of color and they did a beautiful job doing it and cleaned up anything that did drip on the floor and that part was great. I would use them again.

Thanks to Jack Wilson and his team, we have an amazing new kitchen. We have a small bungalow with a very small kitchen. Jack had some great ideas for the design to make the best use of our limited space. Jack was very patient with our choices of materials. We ordered a fireclay sink, which took 3 weeks to get here from Switzerland, and then when it got here it had a hairline crack in it so we had to order another one causing another 3-week delay. Jack worked around us. His original time estimate had been 4 - 6 weeks. The total project took 11 weeks, with the sink causing the entire delay. Jack paid attention to detail and his crew does very quality work. We are very pleased.

They were very professional, helpful, gave me details of blue prints of what they were going to do and gave me suggestions of good places to source carpentry or sinks or popping fixtures.

Greg worked with us on setting up the interior of our home to be painted (including the vaulted ceilings) and for all of the new wood work (doors, jams, base boards) to be stained. He helped us out of a jam after our other stainer walked from the job. He coordinated everything to happen when our carpenter was on-site so everything could be done at once. Greg worked diligently to match the current stain color on our windows so that all of the new doors, etc. matched up. The painters/stainers arrived on time every day for two weeks. They were professional and covered everything to try and eliminate as much dust as possible. They did a fantastic job at working with our carpenter, staining all of the wood work and painting the upstairs and downstairs of our home. Everything looks amazing. They cleaned up after they were done. We will definitely use Stellar again when it comes time to paint the exterior of our home.

Painters came on time and finished everything in 1 1/2 days - and I have a large bedroom. They were fast, they were good, patched holes and caulked by baseboards; they were neat and cleaned up when done. Checked rooms, after paint dried, to make sure they didn't miss anything AND were very courteous. Ask for Jason - he was great! I will definitely use this company again.

After considerable delays for weather, Stellar Painting's painters prepped and painted my house in 2 days. The first day was all about prep: after shielding the perimeter they scraped, sanded, made minor repairs,caulked, washed and primed all wood surfaces. Power washing was not an option as the older layers of paint tested positive for lead. The second day they painted. All surfaces NOT to be painted were wrapped/masked off and again the perimeter was protected. Each day they arrived by 9 AM and were done before 6 PM. They did excellent work and did a great job cleaning up. I only found 2 small pieces of masking tape and a couple of small paint chips after a thorough inspection. I would definitely use them again.

Very good job. Initial bid was well below final price, which I found disconcerting. I asked for - and got - refund of some cost. Not much. Final price was nearly 1/3 higher than the bid. Good workmanship and quality. They did not paint the interior of gutters, which I assumed was standard, although maybe not.

After the bid was accepted on May 31 work was started on July 3rd and Finished on July 5th. I inspected the work after returning from camping on July 7th. Emailed the Acct Mgr with my concerns on the work performed and discrepancy. 1. Blisters from paint not adhering to wood. 2. Scratches in the floor of the deck from dog running back and forth from the sliding glass door to steps of the deck. 3. Bleeding of old stain coming through new paint. I was emailed promptly by Guy Miller and said he would address discrepancies. Guy came by on the July 8th and went over discrepancies and informed me that the acct Mgr was no longer with the company and that the promises he made for my deck were not attainable, but said he would do his best to make me happy. He arranged for his crew to come work on the 9th of July to work on my deck to fix what discrepancies that they could. I came home that evening approximately around 7pm. Inspected work done and guy said to wait until a least until July 12th for paint to cure to put furniture back on the deck . My credit card was charged on the 10th for work done. July 12th I proceeded to put furniture back on the deck and noticed that there were still some blisters on the floor of my deck. At this time I decided to work on the blisters myself and finish the project. Guy was very professional but I must say that I was bummed that the work did not meet my expectations for the price paid.

It's good. I think their price is pretty reasonable.

We use them pretty regularly over the past 7 years. The price was reasonable and the quality was good. They are extremely reliable. They do what they say, if they say they're showing up, they show up and if they say they take care of some thing and they take care of it.

Stellar Painting & Remodeling showed up on time, they did a good job, and their price was reasonable. The workers were efficient and polite.

Generally went well, very good price for the work performed. Since we signed the contract in March, they provided a spring discount for the painting and then a small discount for the deck work since it was a second service. Given the spring weather, they were pushed back by a week, which was OK. The painting crew was also behind on another house, so there were even more delays in the beginning. Overall, the crew was great, they just got dealt a bad hand (it was a sub-contractor for the record). In order to catch up, they worked late into the evening as best they could. The crew's workmanship was awesome. They caulked every seam between each slat of siding. Very good paint job, will hopefully stand the test of time and weather. They were also very professional and courteous.

They did an okay job. They did what was expected.

They're extremely professional, the man who owns the company is really a good guy, you call him on a cellphone, he answers, he e-mails right back. My husband specifically asked if we could get like his best crew 'cause it's a big job and we said we'd be flexible about how long we'd wait to get that really good crew, the crew that was here was fabulous, they're meticulous, they'd busted their butts quite frankly, they did an excellent job, our deck was gorgeous. I would highly recommend them. My husband was the one that met with all the different people and he just said, he knew the minute he met the guys that it was the right one, hired them on the spot and it was just a very positive experience, we'll absolutely use them again. It probably took them 2 days to sand the deck and then they took all the furniture off and they came back, put all the furniture back on and we're having a party and they made sure they could get here to get that all done before we had the party and hang up all the roller shades again, I can't say enough nice things about them. They're very professional, very punctual, very willing to work with people who's price was actually really good for all the work they did. It was just a really good experience.

Excellent, quality prep & paint job. They also didn't leave the property a mess when they were finished.

I don't know anything about their work as of yet, but their response time and their communication is excellent. I would say that the price was right where I thought it would be.
