Stellar Painting & Remodeling

Very professional and on time. Emailed estimate about 3 hour after leaving. I feel the estimate was too high for painting only.

Our exterior needed new paint badly in addition to lead paint mitigation. The Stellar crew was very knowledgable and correctly estimated the time it would take to prep and paint the full house. We ran into weather issues and so the job was stalled mid way through, but they stayed on it and finished when the weather was warmer in December. They did a great job with the aged wood of our home. The clean up was awesome too - no need to pick up after any workmen. They were consistent in calling to check in and schedule follow ups, etc. It was a very professional job and we'd use Stellar again.

Our original consultant came over to inspect the house two days after I called asking for an estimate, but it took about two weeks to get the estimate, which was promised for three days later, to us. However, other than the late estimate, the work and professionalism was outstanding. Adolpho and Mayo were our painters and they did a stupendous job. The house looks beautiful, the two colors chosen for contrast were prefectly done and the trim in all rooms looked amazing. They repaired the nicks and bashing done by a wheelchair so well that it is difficult to tell that there was ever one in the house. I was a bit miffed about the late estimate but the company more than made up for the missed time by bumping up the work to get it finished before our Thanksgiving visitors arrived, giving us a fair price and sending over men that did the best work I've encountered for this service. I'll definitely use Stellar again (we're planning more rooms next year) and would highly reccommend them to friends, family and strangers. I'm extremely pleased with the outcome.

Stellar Painting did a fantastic job. The crew arrived on time and finished a day early. The owner, Guy Miller, promplty answered my questions and followed up with me timely on open items. I will definitely use Stellar again.

Stellar did a wonderful job. They were quick, punctual, detail oriented and able to work with my schedule. The paint job looks great! I would absolutely hire them in the future.

I chose Stellar b/c Jack Wilson, the guy they sent to do the estimate, was very involved in helping me make design decisions even before I agreed to contract with them. He was very responsive and scheduled the work as soon as he could. Mike and Travis, the 2 carpenters that did the actual work did an excellent job. The closet looks great and has greatly improved the look and function of my home. The down side is that you will have to pay for their great service. Their bid was the second highest and the job came in exactly at the quoted price. I tend to choose contractors based on whether they seem trust worthy and knowledgeable and not strictly on who is the cheapest. This was a very successful job in my opinion even if it hit my pocketbook a little harder.

We called to price out getting some work done on our bathroom. We needed some wallpaper removed, walls sanded, textured and then painted. We unfortunately were on a tight schedule and needed the work done within the week. The woman who answered the phone took all the information and was honest in saying they were booked pretty tight and were unsure they would be able to get someone out to our house by our deadline. She took our number and said she would speak to someone who books all the jobs and call us back that afternoon. They did call us back that afternoon and we talked again about what we needed. They said they could get someone to come out and give us an estimate but that likely they would not be able to squeeze us in to do the job by our deadline. We asked for general estimates of this sort of work and were given a reasonable range. We were told that they have a $500 minimum for jobs. In the end due to time interest we decided to do the work ourselved. We were impressed by their professionalism and responsiveness and would consider them for future jobs at our home.

I like them but I got a better bid somewhere else.

The painters arrive. early to my delight. I used the deal of two painters for 8 hours each. The only break they took was lunch, otherwise they worked quickly and efficiently and covered more wall space than I had anticipated. The lines separating the wall and ceilings are perfectly straight! Both were very friendly and professional.

It turned out to be a bit more than the estimated price. It was on the high side. The cost ended up being more than the initial estimate. They did quality work at a premium price.

Stellar did a fantastic job from the start. Guy Miller walked around the house with me and described the job in full detail. He was very knowledgable about the details of the craft such as wax bleed through the siding and where it needed primer and where caulking was needed. We bought the house in February 2013 and didn't know when the last paint job was done. Guy noted that the pigment was still there but the latex was gone and not protecting the siding, therefore wax bleed was showing in many sun-facing spots. Those areas were identified as needing primer. They used Sherwin Williams Super Paint. We scheduled a date to begin the project in November. The crew arrived on day 1 and spray washed the house. The next day was spent entirely on prep work (scraping/sanding/caulking/taping). The next 3 days they painted the house including the trim and accents. The paint looked fantastic and the trim lines were very sharp. The crew was really nice and hard-working. It was lead by Ceaser, incredibly friendly and very approachable person. When the job was completed they returned outdoor furniture to it's original places and left no remains behind. They didn't leave a trace except for the amazing painting job. I would definitely have this company paint my house again in the future and I would recommend them to friends and family.

It was clear from the first meeting with Jack Wilson that they were highly experienced and very creative. We had no idea how to begin this project and they walked us through it every step of the way. They helped us with the kitchen layout and design, gave us ideas on where to go to pick out cabinets, appliances, tile, lighting, etc. They provided one person who oversaw the work of all the other specialists--painters, installers, plumbers, electricians, etc. and made it easy for us to get our questions answered and changes made. They allowed us to help with the areas where we could--demolition, drywall, flooring and painting-- to lower the cost. Like any project, there were a few unexpected issues and those were worked through quickly and with our input. The biggest issue we had was when we failed to ask Stellar's advice on tile before purchasing it. It turned out to be substandard material and very difficult to install. Stellar called in their most experienced tile people and were able to install it anyway. We have another complete kitchen remodel to do and will definitely use them again. They are well worth the money.

They did a great job. They found some areas that we didn't know were damaged and they fixed them up. The job took a little longer than I thought it should but when it was finished I was very pleased.

We were told the work would start 3-4 weeks after they received our deposit check. It took an additional 4 weeks to start. The project was not completed within the 4 week estimate given when we sent in our deposit check. Delays were in part due to the contractor and damaged cabinets (16 total weeks after receiving our deposit check). The general carpentry, painting, granite countertop, hardwood floors, electrical and plumbing were excellent quality. The tile work and finish (trim) woodworking were average quality (finish nails exposed, holes not filled, damaged trim). The workers were friendly and hard working, but the quality dropped off when they started working on other projects. The trash removal was very poor quality. They filled our garage with the trash (old cabinets, boxes, etc.) so we could not access the garage tools, etc., and threw out some of our property when the trash was disposed. We would have preferred a street dumpster at greater expense. I would use Stellar Painting & Remodeling again, but only if I didn't care when the project was finished.

From the initial estimate to completion of the job, I found Stellar Painting to be top-notch in all respects. I was extremely pleased with the services provided and would definitely use their services again in the future. Their employees are great, and the manner in which they conduct business is completely professional. I would highly recommend Stellar for interior painting services.

The experience was good. They had to come back and redo the fence They wanted me to be happy and I wasn't satisfied with the work that was done on that. That was very nice. They did a really nice job on the house painting and it looks great. The bathroom wasn't done to my satisfaction so they also came back and redid it. It is a small operation and they had one crew. I liked that because I knew who I was going to be dealing with. They were pleasant to work with and they were willing to work with me to make sure things were done the way I wanted. They did good work. They showed up on time.

They were great. They were really professional. The guy that came out to give us the quote was real thorough in explaining exactly what they were going to do. The workers were efficient and they were in and out within 2 days.

I called and left a voicemail. They never called back.

Stellar was great. It took awhile to get the job started due to weather delays, but once they started, they were on it every day (weather permitting) until they finished. The crew, led by Hugo, was meticulous about taping and masking off to produce a beautiful paint job with sharp lines. Due to the detailed color scheme, communication was critical throughout the project. Hugo did a great job setting up meetings and giving me advanced notice when he needed decisions from me. Stellar kept the job site clean and safe. The crew was very careful and respectful to my neighbor when they had to go on to her property to access one side of my house. At one point, they accidently punctured a soaker hose that was buried under some mulch where they couldn't see it. When I told them, they totally took care of it; they bought a replacement hose exactly like the one that was damaged, they removed the damaged hose, and they replaced the new hose under the mulch just the way it was originally. I didn't have to ask them to do any of this, they just did it. Stellar's service included one hour with a color consultant. I had already chosen my colors, but the consultant was really helpful with decisions about where to apply them. I'm am super-picky, so had several punch list items to take care of before final payment. They fixed everything on the punch list without complaint. We have received many complements on our beautiful paint job. Stellar only asked for a minimal amount of money to start the job; final payment was not due or requested until the job was finished and I was happy. They were super professional throughout (i.e. no attitude or eye rolling or trying to talk to my husband instead of me). I solicited several bids, and Stellar's price was competative. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They were awesome. They got it all done and my entire whole house. They did it in about five days. They were just very polite. There were only a couple of people and to do the size of my house. I was expecting four guys but it was only two guys and they came in and just worked. I mean they were really hard workers and very polite, if you had any questions they would ask first and to communicate. They came in and did everything, maybe if they were lucky they took like half hour breaks and they did it outside, very polite, very quiet; other than knowing that they were there it was like they weren't there.

The workers were very punctual, very professional, and did high-quality work. They were so easy to work with, and had several suggestions to make the project better (nothing increased the price, just made the project better). They were inventive, efficient and friendly. The tile guy was working with some crazy tile we'd bought (round aluminum on sheets). He actually did some thinking and working at home (off time) to make our installation go well. In addition, he came up with an ingenious was to work with our tile. The results are fantastic. We've received many, many compliments.
