"Hired their Master Plumber (Dave) on a contract basis at $85. hour. Plus a helper plumber at $55. hour. The main issue with the contractor was that when I was billed, I found the following issues:
1. The "Master Plumber" had installed the sewer saddle on the sewer main wrong (according to the city inspector) and had to come back and do it right. He billed me for the repair time.
2. They also billed me for tools needed (a grinder & cutting wheel), and kept them. Most professionals have their own tools (I have a grinder!), and DON'T bill customers for them and keep the tool. Oh, and he took out a replacement warranty too guessing I would be paying for it I assume.
3. Although not in the contract I signed, he billed me time and a half when he and his assistant had to work until 7pm (4:30 was his time/half cut off) one night due to a sewer main repair that had to get done.
4. He billed me 2 hours ($170) for writing a page letter in my behalf for a citation I received for breaking the sewer line - SLOW writer I guess.
5. He charged me for some materials that I checked with the supplier on, and I could of got them as an over the counter sale for almost 1/2 what he charged me!
Bottom line, I had to fight with the owner Joel Aguilar about the charges, most of which he recognized as incorrect, never admitting anything more than "he depends on his employees" to be accurate. And as far as I can tell, his employee is accurate in overcharging.

Had excessive number of workers per job & average labor cost per worker was about $76 per hour. This cost per hour was unbelievable for handyman work & ridiculously so with extra worker standing around a lot during repairs. Very expensive for the work. When asked to revise their charges down, due to extra workers standing around, they were very uncooperative. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Two men showed up. One, the younger individual, spent the entire 3 hours talking to me and performed no work!
I received a $450 bill which included approximately 8.5 hours of labor. When I called, I was told the 2nd guy was an integral part of the work crew as he fetched tools from the truck. At $45/hr, where do I sign up for that job?!!?! The work performed was fine, but feel taken advantage of for the labor. After three weeks of calls, the owner, Joel, told me to pay whatever I wanted, so I paid the materials and for the work of the one employee who did the installation.
I had scheduled multiple jobs with this company, but will not use them again. Their competitors charge a lower hourly rate, provide much prompter service, and give accurate billing.
A co-worker used this company for some plumbing work, then found after they had reinstalled the subfloor, that they hadn't obtained the required plumbing permit as they promised, nor (obviously) gotten the county to perform an inspection.
Please look for another handyman company - there's lots of other, more reputable firms.
