They came.  They estimated.  They worked.  They left us satisfied.

It went fine. Scott is highly responsive and did a good job. As a result of his caulking, etc., the house felt less drafty almost instantly.
We gave him all "As" except for a "B" on price. The first visit, where the bulk of the work was done, was priced very reasonably, but I thought the tab for a second, brief visit (hanging the door) was a little pricey.
We strongly recommend this guy.

HIRE PROFFESSIONALS- this guy is a clown. To his credit if you need something simple like blinds hung up for you he is your man. If your looking for someone who conducts himself in a PROFFESSIONAL manner and works look elsewhere. I have so many negative things to say I couldn't possibly cover it here. Few things that will cover this guy in a nutshell:
1) gives you a decent quote- but not a contract RED FLAG FOLKS
2)contracts a lot of the work out to others he just met -like the felon he had in my home where I have small children that he met the day before for the first time.
3) he constantly reeks of Marijuana ( but he'll say he has a legal license- sorry but I don't believe your medical marijuana license covers you on the job)
4) big promises on start dates and times he plans on showing up- then never does.
5) is real quick to take your money and run.
6) had an issue with theft of jewelry while his subcontractors and their children (who they had working... Ummm child labor laws??) where here, even after I repeatly mentioned that I was not comfortable with that.
7) This guy is paranoid to all h*** ( marijuana????) And quick to blam me or anyone else for what went wrong. All I can say is I paid him way too much on time and he did not deliver.
Like I said, there's so much more than this and if you would like to speak to me personally I would be happy to fill you in and steer you clear from Scott Edwards and Paramount Renovations. Feel free to email me at [email protected]

Sorry, after having a good laugh at the response posted I just would like to say that I appreciate the length you have gone to try and redeem yourself on paper. Had you put half that effort into your work you would be a respectable contractor. Us- scammers? You are the one with my money and I am left with no work completed. Your responses lack any credibility, its basically completely falsified, and I sincerly encourage you to seek help for your drug abuse as it is obviously clouding your memory. I encourage anyone who is even considering using this guy to tread carefully. My husband and I both work respectable jobs in healthcare and do not have a need to "scam" anyone. I would encourage anyone to please contact me ([email protected]) and I will be happy to provide contractors/ painters/ handymen we have used that I can vouch for their character and as they can for mine. I would hate for anyone to have to endure what we have with Scott Edwards and his paranoia. I will leave it at that as I have already seen how inaccurate and false anything you respond to will be. Let the videos and photos I have taken show you his work, and his kids on the job, and you can decide how comfortable you feel about hiring someone who is cleary denying what I have video proof of. Bottom line folks, why even take a chance???
Response from Paramount Renovations
"Its unfortunate how things turned out. After a month and a half they still wouldnt get permits after promising them. I did everthing i could to get them moved in rapidly and they kept pushin and promising, so I accomodated. They went to my helper behind my back to get a bid for work that I should have accrued to save themselves money. The work is finished to a point of completion where inspections can be performed and money has been paid. A bill including all work performed was sent, and when I was told that the money wasnt there, I could not continue to work for free. All requests made by the client were accomodated above and beyond the call as is my reputation. My reputation is at risk because I believe I have, for the first time, been privy to scammers. When the necklace was found there was still accusations that implied guilt. As the residence backs to a park my child and my helpers children would play there the duration of the day. As for the marijuana, I have no idea. As for the work performed I have pics I can post. As for the bill, I am owed money. I think that they have done this before. I have witnesses as to the conduct of the business ethic of these people. I had to make sure I wasnt taken advantage of any longer. Especially after being accused of stealing a necklace, and steam generator, and told that money wasnt there after so many additional accomodations were added on. They seem to be proffessionals at getting high end work for nothing. Its impossible to do business with people who lie and expect something for nothing. I could not let them continue like they were..it got way out of hand. My apologies for all of this rebuttal, but the venomous allegations in the complaint had to be answered. Id never do that to anyone, but the severity of whats suggested shows, in my opinion is someone who is angry they didn't get their way. I also apologize to all Angies list viewers. I have never had to deal with this in 20 years of working, and I have references if this incident is a factor on your consideration."

Hanging window blinds is not a big deal for some people, but I have two left thumbs, so I needed a handyman. Although Scott was very busy and this was a small job, he made time for us, coming about 48 hours after we called. He did a very good job---the blinds look quite sharp---and everything went quickly, and the price was very reasonable.

Well I think I told the story above I am very happy with Scotts work and will always include him in my future projects.  Basement remodel will be next on the agenda for my personal home.

They are very reliable.  They are definitely doing quality work.  They are honest and offer an extremely reasonable price.
