After getting a large quote for service from a popular auto repair shop in Littleton (I've used them for many years, just started having issues in the last couple), I decided to get a second opinion from Elder. I called a couple days before Thanksgiving and was told by a very friendly receptionist that I could bring it in Friday. It was nice that they had a drop box for the keys and I left it the night before. After a full inspection, Ramon (incredibly nice guy) called and told me that there wasn't any major issues and it just needed an alignment. They completed the work that day and the truck has been driving perfect ever since. I am lucky to have found them, as it saved me over $1000 from the other estimate. I will be headed back there for any and all of my auto needs.

I was impressed with how professional and nice they were. I believe they quoted a very reasonable price and at the end it turned out that the cost to replace everything was even lower than the original quote. I think I found my future repair shop

I stayed in the waiting room and worked on my computer --they have wifi --and found out they will not only drop you off after you bring your car in, but will pick you up when it's done!! Wow, that's the first time I ever heard that--a great service. I will definitely come back, as I found the whole experience excellent, and the prices very reasonable. They even gave me a $10 discount--I'm guessing because I'm a new customer. Great place.
Description of Work: I came in for an oil change, antifreeze check, tire pressure check and overall safety inspection for a trip to Kansas City. They were very prompt and professional and gave me a heads up about needing my brakes done at the next oil change. I knew I needed brakes and they confirmed it and gave me a timeline, which was helpful.

We were having a problem with the dealership charging too much and dismissing our complaints. We had 2 previous repairs done at a cost we felt way too high and with the warranty barely run out. Instead of reducing the price when they agreed that we had a valid complaint, they gave us a gift card to return for our next work order. We decided we did not want to return to the dealership due to the high cost, lack of concern for our repeating problems and just making us feel there was nothing they could do. We feel we may have found a more ethical private repair shop to will use them in the future and not just for an estimate.
Description of Work: We had an appointment for an estimate which ended up 25% less than the auto dealer where purchased - with exact same part cost, so labor would have been less. We will definitely use them in the future because we liked everything we saw and heard when there for the estimate. Respectful and customers coming in and out must have been repeat customers from the family style interaction. They were happy to do a free estimate as told to us on the phone.

We had taken our car to a dealership for its routine maintenance. They identified a series of problems and quoted prices. We thought the prices seemed high so we used Angie's list and found Elder auto. We called with the list of work and were quoted a price over the phone about 30 minutes later (they actuall took time to research and work up the quote). We scheduled the appointment for a few days later, took the car in, had the work done in a timely fashion, and the bill was actually a little LESS than the quote, and significantly less than the dealership. I took the car back a few weeks later to have some additional work done. I can't agree more with others who have expressed how NICE the staff is - nice doesn't even do them justcie. Everyone is very friendly and professional. It's a real pleasure.

Excellent Service, very fare price for all the work, and a very good experience!
Description of Work: I can't say enough Good things about Elder Auto! I move to Colorado from out of state, so we had to go through the agony of finding all of the things you take for granted, including a good mechanic. So I checked out Angie's List. First time ever using the service. Elder Auto popped up with very high ratings. So I thought I would try it out. Man was I very pleasantly surprised! What a GREAT group of people to work with! They are absolutely Awesome! Extremely clean environment, they immediately make you feel right at home and the Biggest thing I found was their Integrity and Honesty! I have an old farm truck, an '88 Ford F-150 4x4. It failed the emissions inspection. I took it to Elder Auto expecting that they would work on it, I'd have to take off another day of work to sit in line AGAIN at the inspection station, hoping it would pass. But I was incredibly surprised when they told me that the price included one of their technicians taking it through to ensure it passed. Well, it didn't pass. So back to the garage, it went, for more work. They took it a second time and it didn't pass! Then the owner, Ramon jumped in and made it his personal challenge to work it. He called me to keep me informed all the way. Friday, I had a voicemail from Ramon personal to tell me on the third try, it passed with flying colors! I think he was more excited than me! Now remember, I've never seen these people before, but you would have thought we were friends from way back. When I walked in to pay the bill and pick up the truck, Ramon and a group of technicians along with the office staff were there and they were happy to see me! And after ALL THAT EXTRA WORK, they stood by the price I was quoted!! AWESOME,AWESOME,AWESOME group of people! I wasn't a number to them. You better believe they are my ONE AND ONLY MECHANIC!!

I had to replace a light bulb and found I could not reach it, so I scheduled an appointment to have this installed. Took them all of 20 minutes to do and when I asked what the charges were....they said none! Can you believe it, in this day and age? Love, love them! Their place is clean and their staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Cannot say enough about my experience.

After the horrible and deceptive experience I had with Auto World, I called Elder's up to verify the quote they had given me over the phone for doing the work listed above. They were able to confirm (because they had kept a record of the quote on their computer) the work to be preformed and the price of $288. I brought my car in and once again the gentleman at the desk confirmed what they were going to do. I mentioned to them I had seen on their website a discount of $15 for brake service with coupon but that I did not have a printer. He said, "No problem, I can take the additional amount off of the bill." I had already be told the work would probably take at least 2 hours, and while they did offer to drive me to where I might need to go, I opted to wait in the event something unexpected came up. To my surprise, 1 1/2 hours later...I was told my car was finished and waiting for me. I asked whether there had been any issue with machining the rotors and they said no. The thickness was fine and was no need to replace them....something Auto World was insisting needed to happen. Elder's was prompt, friendly, and very professional. They did not try to take advantage of a situation that often times can be. They left me with a feeling of trust in them and a willingness to put my name behind recommending them to my friends and family in the future.

cI found Elder Auto on Angie's List and gave it a shot. Elder Auto recommended a tow company who arrived to my car on time (even a few minutes early!) and towed it to Elder Auto. They had an estimate for me in a couple of hours and had the work completed earlier than they estimated. The actual charges were slightly less than the estimate. This repair took a couple of days (Monday and Tuesday) and they communicated with me to keep me up to date on progress. I was more than pleased with the work, how I was treated and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them!
Description of Work: I found Elder Auto on Angie's List and had it towed there. I have an older BMW 3 series. They gave the car a thorough inspection and found that the throttle body and thermostat were not working, the front brakes were completely worn and there was a part missing on one of the rear brakes. Finally, the cabin filter was very dirty.

These guys rock! I’m somewhat new to the area and always struggle finding a new mechanic. Having worked on all my vehicles for years, I have a good understanding of what to expect as far as shop rates and time to complete. The true test to me is turn-around time and how well the mechanic completed his work. These guys not only diagnosed the problem on my 2007 Mazda, the turn–around time was less than a day and their shop rates are lower than most places. When they performed the diagnostic they also looked over the car (at no additional charge) and made recommendations of other items that may need to be replaced in the future, which also included quotes. No surprise, there were other things that needed to be replaced, like my struts. When I got home a I looked over the car at the items they had pointed out and sure enough, these items were not critical (as they stated) but was something that should probably be replaced in the next six months. Lastly, a week after I picked up my car they called as a follow up to see if everything was to my satisfaction. I think these guys need to provide some clinics on customer service.

I walked in and they said they would take a look at the car (2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and let me know what they found before performing any services. They drove the car around, noticed the rotors were glazed over a bit, but said this is normal wear & tear...said the pads looked great and everything else regarding the brakes was in great shape. They did not charge for this service. I also had them do an overall courtesy inspection for any abnormalities with the car, and they found nothing. They also did not charge for this service. So I left Elder Auto with the peace of mind that our car is in good working order and they did not charge a penny for the time they took to look over everything. I would definitely recommend these guys...and they were super friendly and very open/honest about what they were doing "behind the scenes". I will most likely take our other car to these guys and get a 60,000 mile inspection performed.

I looked up another place here on Angies List(don't remember where) and they said that they did not work on cars of that age. They referred me to Elder Auto. They were upfront about how much things would cost and about things that they would not know about until they got into it. They got it done in a reasonable amount of time. They said it would be done on one day but then some other things came up and it took another day, it would have been better to wait until they knew for sure. The cost was a little high but I think that I got what I paid for. For women; there are at least two women working there and they seemed to make female customers feel comfortable. I think that this is a shop of competent professionals and I would use them again and recommend them to a friend.

It was the experience of a lifetime! I arrived first thing in the morning and parts had to be ordered so I thought I would wait while the repairs were completed. I left about 4pm that afternoon, but during the day I had updates hourly, they took me to and from a great diner for lunch, they felt bought me dinner and apologized for the lengthy repairs, and then gave me a discount at the end to thank me and to apologize once again for the lengthy and extensive repairs. I will never go anywhere else ever again!

Called several auto repair shops about a service engine soon light that was on on my Nissan Xterra. I had done some research on the internet and had an idea of what needed to be done. 3 other shops stated I had to do a complete timing belt package of around $1100 to get the thermostat replaced. Elder Auto was the only repair shop that told me it could be repaired for $260 without doing the whole timing belt (which had been done in the last year by the dealer). Also had some break issues and they thoroughly explained what was needed and answered all my questions. Cost for both items plus oil change was $900. First time using these guys and as with other reports I am very impressed.

The job was great from start to finish.
Description of Work: Company did a great job repairing my leaking exhaust manifolds in a timely manner. They initially told me that the repair would only need to replace one manifold. Found out that it would require replacing both manifolds to fix the problem, but refused to charge me more than for the one manifold they initially reported. I would strongly reccomend this shop to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, honest shop to repair your car or truck.
