 + -1 morePurchased a new combination door lock and called Colorado Security Products for installation. Dispatcher was was very knowledgeable and friendly. They scheduled for that very afternoon. Tech was very professional in all respects and arrived at the scheduled time. After removing the old lock, the new lock was found to be defective and unusable. The Tech was able to make a temporary repair to the old lock and reinstalled it. I was not charged for this service and I would eagerly use this company again!
Description of Work: Removed and replaced an inoperative combination door lock.

 + -1 moreWe were more than satisfied with this whole experience. The rep from Colorado Security Products arrived early, explained what the problem probably was (a broken return spring), and proceeded to take apart the lock apparatus. He told us that having to replace the whole thing could be in the range of $1200, as our lock and door are vintage, and probably custom made years ago. When he got it all apart, he saw the broken spring; he went to the local home improvement store, Lowes, and bought the two springs needed. He came right back, installed them, and then put everything back together. The door now works fine and we will be sure to call them again with any locksmith needs.
Description of Work: The person from Colorado Security Products came to fix or adjust our front door which was not latching properly. He diagnosed a broken return spring as our main problem. He disassembled the entire door lock, which was difficult as our vintage door is much thicker than an average door, and the lock and latch are probably about 50 years old. He saw what hardware was needed, and drove off to Lowe's to get it. He came back shortly, installed the new spring, put the lock assembly back together, and the door was fixed.
