Best Service is the WORST!!! There were so many red flags that I should have picked up on before the service. I read the 5 star reviews, wish I would have read the 1 star reviews before using this company. I'm sure the manager will hop on here and leave a response that completely blames me for all of my concerns, taking no responsibility for his impatient manager, Monty and his repairman, Antone who was determined to replace the wrong part of my dishwasher. When I first called, I told the person on the phone that I got the dishwasher at Costco. I thought I had a warranty on it, but they told me I didn't. I checked through my email and I did in fact have a warranty. When the repairman arrived, he diagnosed the dishwasher for about 5 minutes and told me it was going to be $600 to fix, so he recommended just buying a new dishwasher. I stressed again that I had a warranty and showed him online that all I had to do was call and they would approve the claim instantly. He got on the phone with his manager, and I got on the phone with the warranty company. As I was on hold, I asked him to please wait so I could get the claim approved. The warranty I have allows me to choose a repair company and as long as the repair is less than 80% of the cost of the appliance, they will approve it and send me a check. The repairman, Antone, was on the phone with his boss Monty. Monty told Antone that Best Appliance won't work with my warranty company, so to leave. I wasn't asking them to work with my warranty company, I was asking them to wait for me to get the work approved so that I could pay and ensure a reimbursement from my warranty company. My husband was also in the room and understood what I was asking, but Antone was not listening and Monty was only interested in collecting his $160 service fee instead of being patient and giving me 5 minutes to get the claim approved so he could have his entire $600 repair paid instead. This company basically gets away with not doing repairs. They fund the company on sending out repairmen for $160...if they hit 10 houses a day, they make $1,600 without having to do a single repair. That's $200 an hour...much more than a teacher's salary in Colorado! When he left, I reached out to the manager Monty, and the owner Tom Hankins
[email protected]. Tom had no interest in providing customer service. I explained to him what happened and how I asked Antone to stay and complete the work. I just needed to get the claim approved. He sent me the recorded phone call where I told them I bought it at Costco and said that if I believed I had a warranty, I should have said something on the phone call. He then mentioned a follow-up email about the extended warranty. My warranty will cover a repair company of my choice as long as it is within 80% of the cost of the appliance. They offer on-the-spot approvals, I just needed to call them. Nobody at Best offered me the patience or time to get this done. Again (read above) they just go house to house for the $160 without completing repairs. In all of this, he believed me to be solely responsible for the $160, but offered an $80 'good faith' discount. I agreed to the $80; however, I was charged $85. This company cannot get itself straight. The final straw was learning that the repairman, Antone diagnosed the completely wrong thing. He put in his work order for part w11416362, which is $150-$200 part, Best Service was charging me $303. When the work was actually completed by a company that knew what they were doing, the part they replaced was w11414076 which is $140-$175 part. Monty's diagnosis, included 'feeling' the part humming. The actual repairman who fixed it, pulled the entire dishwasher out, plugged it into a bunch of different things, pulled out the bottom and did not just 'feel' around to determine what needed to be repaired. If you want a qualified company, I do not recommend Best Service. They run a scam company. Stay Away!
