This Angie's List review is as authentic as authentic gets and the sole purpose of my writing this is to make sure no one ever experiences this abysmal customer experience with State-Wide Lock & Safe in the future. 6 weeks ago, there were (and still are) numerous doorknobs in our older home that needed replacing with the most pressing being our nursery. It took over a month to get State-Wide to send a safe technician named Jeff out to our home (Jan 9th) who indicated he also works with locks and doorknobs. He spent 1.5 hours with me evaluating each door, providing ideas, and promised a quote with a variety of options within 2-3 days. Seemed reasonable. At the end of the consultation, State-Wide demanded $75 for a service call with no services rendered and just an estimate. Other Locksmith service providers will not charge to bid on a medium-large job that would be well over $1000. My wife and I were fine with the $75 service charge if the bid (pictures of doors, doorknob options, labor estimates) was ever rendered as promised. On January 23rd, nothing has been delivered to my wife and me. We have called this company 8-9x and been given the runaround and excuses from the owners Shannon and Scott. We asked why they are not being responsive or delivering any estimate or bid, and Shannon complained about 1) being overwhelmed on jobs 2) unexpected January vacations 3) having to spend several days for internal parts inventory and 4) lack of employees and technicians available to deliver work. State-Wide continues to ignore our concerns and has failed to acknowledge any delays and challenges on their ability to execute effectively. As of today (January 24th), my wife and I have ended this frustrating saga with State-Wide. We have been given the runaround since DEC 8th and still do not have a comprehensive bid, any services rendered, and any progress over 1.5 months. Our house still has doorknobs that need repaired and the nursery door still cannot be closed. State-Wide has made it abundantly clear that they don't value customers and are not equipped to be a residential locks service provider. We would not recommend this company to anyone and are surprised that they are able to compete in a Denver market with far more professional and qualified service-providers
