Restoration King

Avoid at all costs! I experienced mold issues in our bathroom. I called Restoration King for a quote, after some back and forth on pricing, I gave them the job. I was told that the job start to finish would take about 4-6 weeks. As of today's date Feb, 2021. We are still dealing with Restoration King finishing and fixing there work almost a year later. The job manager responsible, Never is on time ( as in "days" go by ) as scheduled or promised. Always smokes a cigarette before entering my home, smelling to high heaven. And he is genuinely upset that he has to come to my house to fix the cracking grout they just finished installing just over a month ago. Thank god for warrantee, or it wouldn't have been fixed! There not even going to replace the grout, there using caulking instead on the tile....who does that! Restoration King that's who! Horrible experience! Horrible practices! Barely warrantees there work! Empty promises from the start! Like other, I feel Writing a review sucks, but this one sure is justified! Run away as fast as you can! If you notice, no recent reviews on there website or warrantee information!

It was very good. They also removed a considerable amount of mold.

When I noticed a small puddle in front of my kitchen sink and a discoloration in the tile of my shower I started calling companies to see what the issue was. I knew I needed a company that provided mold mitigation because I had discovered mold under my kitchen sink. When the guy came to give me an estimate he was quite thorough and had great professionalism, but the other guys on the project were totally different. The work that needed to be done at my house was a bit more difficult because my home does have asbestos in the walls, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference to a restoration company. (This company is not approved to handle Asbestos so I had to use another company along with them.) While they were working at my house I didn't feel like I was a priority, they seemed to have many other jobs at the same time where it would often confuse their employees as to what house they should be at. One of the men was so incredibly slow at his job I was amazed, there were even times my husband had to show him how to do certain things. Then there is the situation of cleanliness, or lack thereof. After the work was completed, no one cleaned it. It was supposedly scheduled to have someone come clean it, but I received a call saying she couldn't make it. Thus, I ended up having to clean up all the dust and whatnot. Now, a little over a year after the project...my shower's grout keeps cracking and my kitchen cabinets do have some mistakes.

HORRIBLE!! My wife hired them to complete the job. They started on November 10th (today is December 14th), and the job is still NOT complete. Furniture in the spare bedroom still has the plastic protection over it and has not been moved to its original place. They did not fix the ledge, which was not level. That particular job unfortunately has already been paid for. They would say they would show up, and something urgent would come up. This happened on several occasions. The main bathroom door is fixed, which is about the only thing they completed. Simple things like taking outlet covers off and not replacing them. We are going to have to hire someone else to complete the master bathroom job and the other spare bedroom. Thank goodness they have not been paid yet for those. I WILL NOT pay them for the uncompleted work!!! Do not recommend this company.

They lost the person who gets the permits and said they couldn't do the project. It was disappointing. The bid was average. We had to keep calling them to follow up.

It basically went according to plan. Everything happened within the budget and schedule that we agreed to up front. The foreman, Boris, did a great job of managing the job and the various subcontractors that were involved. The bathroom now looks beautiful. Overall it was a satisfying experience. I would do business with this company again.

It went horribly! They quoted that the job would take 5 days and confirmed this time frame on day three. And then on day four stated it would be an additional two weeks for the, all of a sudden, "custom" glass shower to be made. The entire installation took 27 days. They only got two quotes for the "custom" glass, and both glass companies were "slammed." However, there are more than two glass companies in this city... so. After they were finished with the tile, I had mentioned to the installers that I would be painting the bathroom once they were done. That weekend, I found out that they had installed non-paintable caulk/sealant around the entire tile job in both bathrooms. And they had smeared this caulk/sealant up to three inches in some places from the tile. They had to come back out and sand off the caulk/sealant and reinstall paintable caulk/sealant. They installed the tile in each bathroom differently. In the master bath they left an inch wide gap between the end of the tile and the shower pan which was also a 1/4" deep. This was a major concern as the gap would collect water over time, and could potentially be hard to keep in check regarding future mold development. In the hall bath they installed grout between the tub and the tile. The tub has been used at most 5 times since they installed it and already the grout has cracked. I will be sawing out the grout and installing caulk/sealant this weekend, which is what should have been done in the first place. They also decided to have their installers install the custom glass shower in the master to save money. The shower now leaks on the outside and I will be investigating where the leak is and fixing it myself. The company as a whole did not work well with our insurance company, and were at times very rude over email communications and in person. Finally, on top of all the issues and their rudeness, the cost for the services they provided was astronomical. There are better companies out there, and this company gives construction companies, renovation companies and mold/mitigation companies a bad name!

Excellent service on the phone and when they came to the residence. Personable, honest, and made good suggestions.
