My garage door began malfunctioning. I called this company on Monday, 9/17. They scheduled someone to come the next day, 9/18, early in the morning due to my work schedule. They called to let me know they were on their way. The technician came, fixed the problem, serviced the door and was very professional and efficient in doing so.

I was please with the service. He reprogrammed my outside door opener at no additional cost.

Technician arrived on time and quickly assessed the problem. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and made the repair look easy. He also looked for proper alignment after the pulley cable was reattached. Oiled the pulley wheels and spring, and adjusted the spring. Was very impressed with work and value. Would use them again.

They came out pretty quick. The gentlemen who came out had everything he needed and got the job done right away.

I'm going to call them again to come up and do a yearly service. If a part on it breaks I can always find the part. If I go down and buy it from other stores, they'll replace some parts which I may not find because they may not have them anymore. They came out one time to do an inspection too. I'm going to probably call them again to do another inspection and start having it done every year. The thing about it is that it keeps the springs from snapping. It's better to replace the springs than to have a service call. The price is good for what they do. I can find the springs anywhere but getting someone to install them is difficult. If one part from the door breaks or something like that needs repair, I won't be able to find the part for a lot of things and even if we do find them, it is very expensive. I picked Overhead Door based on their reputation. They are a nationally known company. If I sell the house, they may want to keep up with the parts and this is one place they can go to and have no problems finding it. If they don't like it they may change it to something else and that was one reason why I used to buy garage door openers and put them in until I had a hard time finding parts for them which included the outside garage door opener.

Overhead Door Company Of Colorado Springs Inc was awful. The pricing was terrible. We finally had the garage door removed and had a different kind of garage door put in. The remotes were really expensive, the service they gave us was really bad, and the door kept sticking because the installation was done incorrectly. It was really just a bad experience and a bad job all the way around. It was so bad that after we had them come several times to fix it, we finally just said forget it, and replaced the door. We will never use them again in the future.

They did a great job. They were efficient and knowledgeable. I was happy with them. I would use them again in the future.

We live up against the mountains in Colorado Springs. When I opened the back door of the garage to let the dogs into the run, a 50-mph wind gust slammed through into the garage against the two-car garage door (the cars were out). The two-car garage door actually sprang out, bent at the middle from the floor to its top. The door was unable to close. We bought the house in 2004. The previous owner had COS Overhead Door last service the door in 2002. (Overhead Door marks the last service date in permanent marker on the track.) I called Overhead Door immediately and explained the problem. They gave me a replacement quote over the phone, including likely reuse of a stiffener from the broken door. The replacement door is far stiffer, and they installed three wind-stiffeners, including the reused undamaged one. The installer Eric arrived on time and completed the work (in bitter cold) within 2.5 hr. The price was the estimate. The new door perfectly matches our second garage door in finish and design; I suspect Overhead Door looked it up in their records. There was a squeak from the opener. Eric and I agreed that it might work out, so though he offered I didn't ask him to fix it that day. I ended up calling them back the next week to fix the squeak. They came the next day, again at the agreed time, and the door is completely quiet now. Both installers were courteous, relaxed, obviously competent and patient answering qurestions. Even though the damaged door was from Overhead Door, I suspect they didn't recommed it to the original homeowner, who probably chose a weaker door to save money (his, not mine), or else Overhead Door didn't have the product when they last installed the original door. The entire experience was extremely satisfying. Overhead Door is easy to do business with (my #1 criterion), and entirely worth the money.

Ryan showed up a few minutes early and checked out our garage door. He made sure all the bolts were tight and also sprayed the rails with WD40. He also told me how to open the door if the power goes out and the power door opener doesn't work. The garage door has no brand name on it and the charges paid were for that door only. Our shed door was made and installed by Overhead Doors. It was out of whack and could be raised some, even when locked. Ryan said the door had not been installed properly and that the locking rod had been cut too short. He installed a new rod and put things back together with a proper installation. He also sprayed the rails with WD40. There was no charge for the shed door since it was an Overhead product and had not been installed properly to begin with. Ryan worked quickly and efficiently, was friendly and informative. I recommend this company for all your garage door needs.

Routine service. Easy to make the appointment, and the tech arrived well within the time window. We've had this particular tech a couple times, and he's extremely thorough. And knowledgeable! I had no idea there was so much to learn about garage doors. He's taught me a lot. We'll definitely continue to use this company's services.

They were professional and did a good job. The technician explained everything about the door to me - what needed to be done and how often. I was satisfied with the work done.

Because my 21 year old garage door had some rot at ground level, but was otherwise sound, I wanted to replace only the bottom section. The door had originally been sold and installed by Overhead Door, so I had the model and style information available. I e-mailed their office inquiring into the availability of a matching door section, and requested a cost estimate. They responded by the next day saying they could do the work and quoted the cost of parts and labor. I telephoned in to make an appointment for the work. The parts were either in stock or they were able to get them by the time of my appointment the same week. The service person arrived on time and completed the work in a totally satisfactory manner. He also did a complete inspection and service (adjustments, lubrication, etc,) of the whole door system at no additional charge. The final cost was the amount I had been quoted in the e-mail.

It was an easy experience with no issues. The gentlemen who installed the door was friendly and did a great job. The new door is much quieter and my garage temperature is much more stable due to the insulated door. We had a wide array of window choices with our door. Overall we are very satisfied.

I was very pleased with the prompt professional friendly service I received. I will recommend them to friends. I will call them again although I hope I won't need their service again soon unless I decide to replace my door.

Garage door opener failed. We had used Overhead twice before and had been totally satisfied, so I trusted them. Salesman Vern suggested the "best" opener and I agreed. But the "best" opener took twice as long to open and close the door as the old one, and the remotes were intermittent. When I complained, they replaced the opener with one that was as fast as the original, but that looks and sounds tinny. I got no reduction in cost. Both installers did an acceptable job.

The friendly salesman showed up at my house the day after I called and actually "sold" me on a unit 1 step below the one I ended up buying. Salesman have to sell but there was no overt or uncomfortable pressure. I wanted a very strong motor and the design to be as low profile as possible given my odd ceiling height. Like buying a laptop versus a desktop, you pay to have a a stronger motor in a smaller package, no surprise there. I bet I could have gone with a $300 model and been fine, but I also got a fistful of remotes and the keypad as part of the deal. The install tech, initials "BF" was really super. The install went well, he fixed some issues with the existing setup he found while installing, he gave clear and concise instructions, and even swept out the garage after he was done. The opener works well, and is very quiet.

Overall, it went very well. We ordered colored doors w/ glass and inserts. The order took about a week longer than we expected. The installer did an excellent job. He arrived on time, completed the job on schedule and left a clean work area behind him. He explained the operation of the openers and took time to answer all my questions.

I had an intermittent fault with the garage door opener using the remote control. It turned into a complete failure of the system even using the hard-wired controls. The technician from Overhead Door came out the day following my call (Friday 25 June 2009) and diagnosed the problem as potentially a failing capacitor; the day he came the fault resumed to be intermittent (i.e., the hard-wired controls worked again). He didn't have that part available in his truck, so said he'd call sometime next week when he could find one. Before leaving, he checked all the moving parts and lubricated them. I received a call Tuesday 30 June 2009 that he had the part and scheduled a time to meet him. Although the door was operating after his initial visit, I decided to have the part replaced. He performed the replacement quickly and checked out the system. Afterwards, I asked about tips for maintenance and he gave me some tips with good details. Otherwise, he was extremely punctual, arriving at my home before I could when he told me he was in the area.

We checked Angie's list and chose Overhead Door because of their rating and price. As best I remember, we called Overhead Door on a Thursday. They said their first appointment was the following Tuesday because they were so busy. We were a bit disappointed, but made the appointment because we liked their rating-- and their prices (based on other reviews) seemed a bit less than other companies. The next day, they called and said that they were in the area and a job had taken less time than anticipated. They had a little extra time and asked if it would be convenient to fix the door that day. That was great with us, so they came over within an hour. The serviceman was very professional and knowledgeable. He got the door done within the time and price that was estimated. We were very pleased. The door is still working very well--it is now May 09.

Polite, punctual, able to come in a timely fashion. Work was done well, and done on time. Very good experience.

My new opener works. It works very well. The price is another question. I should have shopped around before committing. I had an opener replaced in another house just 2 years ago and used an independent contractor. The Overhead Door price was about 20% higher and does not include installation of a keypad (an extra $50!). Virtually all garage door kits now include external keypads.

Found that our garage door spring had snapped on Saturday morning of a 3 day weekend and called for service. Appointment was made for the following Tuesday. Tech showed up on time (he was even a little early!) and he had the door repaired in about an hour. Service and quality of work was excellent and I would recommend using them in the future.
