MOVING DAY INC

Grandfather clock got damaged, legs on the bed never showed up with the move. It took 2 trucks and 2 moves to get everything to my house plus an unexpected $1500 for the move. I had to write a check at the end of each day for the move. It was a lot of little things. I was given the impression that it was my fault that I had too much stuff. Kitchen stuff was packed great.

The owner is friendly and informative. When you call them, he is the one who answers the phone. The arrival times for the move estimate and for packing were both wrongly recorded by the owner but the movers were very timely. The movers were very polite and careful with objects as they removed them from the house. As the truck started to become full and the duration of the move took longer than expected, the packers became anxious which played on my already shot nerves. I had to leave for 2 hours during the move and when I returned I found that 2.5 dozens of the moving pads had not been used and with emptying the truck found furniture on furniture contact with mostly light varnish removal but some more significant gouges noted in some of the furniture. I would rate them a B- overall which in my experience is pretty good for a moving company. it took them 6 hours to complete the move. I think if you are present to ensure use of moving pads or wrap chairs and tape them yourselves you will be generally happy with the services provided.
