We have had all 4 vehicles for various issues. They have fixed each one in a timely manner. I feel they do great work and are very personable. Cost maybe a bit high, but no problems with repairs. they will also let you know if there is anything else to keep an eye on.

They did a great job and did it quickly.

He's just great. They are honest and clear with their explanations of what your car needs. They also will tell you what needs to be done sooner rather than later and if something can wait. I think their price is fair.

I used them while I had my Honda. I've used them for two years. They're nice. They make sure you're satisfied. It was a little hit-and-miss. When I told them that I was unhappy with it, they fixed it. They have a pretty decent price.

Had my son's car towed to Kraig's shop after receiving recommendations from two different people. Kraig kept me well informed throughout the entire process and made service recommendations that were actually required. Though I did not enjoy the bill (who does), I did like the quick/professional service and the military discount. Will definitely use Kraig again in the future for all four of my imports.

We have used Japanese Connection for nearly twenty years, and several cars. They have been excellent, always. Professional, trustworthy, just wonderful. When we have bought used cars we have had them check them out first, for which they charge very little and provide a very detailed picture of the car we are considering. Our grown kids use them as well, and I have recommended them to many people. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

I chose this provider because of great reviews on Angie's List, and I wasn't disappointed! I initially went in to get the door and window fixed on my beloved 2000 Honda CRV. ( Because my car has been pretty much problem-free, I didn't have a regular mechanic.) Kraig called later with some observations and recommendations for other issues that they saw were developing. I have to admit I had a little "sticker shock," since I had never had any major work done, but I decided to go ahead with the repairs. Kraig was very professional and up-front, and did not pressure me; in fact, I would say he almost did the opposite! I am happy with the service, and will be back soon for some regular maintenance. P.S. I am generally pretty suspicious of anything and anyone that has to do with cars, car repair, and car maintenance...If this is shtick, these guys deserve an Academy award! :) I honestly felt like I was back in my little hometown in the Midwest, and that is saying something.

I've used Japanese Connection many times for both my Lexus vehicles. I found them via high reviews on Angies list, and was not disappointed, felt I owe them a review after using their services for the last 4 years. Paul and his staff are outstanding across the board. The most important characteristics of a auto service place is their technical ability and their honesty. Japanese Connection is 100% perfect on both of these categories, and I completely trust them. No doubt I prefer them over the Lexus dealership or any other questionable business that is trying to make more money by attempting to add more services that I don't need. I cannot recommend these guys higher - they deserve your business!

They were nice and helpful. They have a nice shop. They were accommodating. I disagreed however with the technician's diagnosis that the car's sluggish power was related to high altitude. My new mechanic disagrees as well and has since fixed the problem. It now runs much better and normally.

They listened to me when I first called for an appointment. They were kind when I had to reappoint. They got the work done within a couple of hours and when I went to get my car it was shinning clean and one of the mechanics stood ready to walk me through what I needed to know for the car's future care.

- Although the story above sounds grim, I was very impressed with how Paul and the shop responded. Stuck with a dead car on a busy road, I called Paul and told him what happened. He drove out to see if he could fix it on the spot (I has pushed the car to the side of the road to get out of traffic). After some troubleshooting (and unable to get any ignition or spark), he told me he would need to take it back to the shop. Without any prompting, he took out his cell and called the tow truck to bring the car back to the shop. He then told me that I wouldn't have to pay for the towing and he will work on the car first thing in the morning (the shop was closed for the day by then). You would think the failure was due to something related to the 240k maintenance that was just completed but Paul told me that the distributor assembly had failed and needed to be replaced (i.e., this problem was not related to the 240k maintenance). To keep costs down, he ordered and installed a non-OEM replacement (which I didn't mind, as long as it was reliable). He also gave me back the original distributor assembly since the bearings and other parts of assembly were still good and could be used in the future. On top of that, he capped the cost under $400 (it was a lot more than that) due to the situation of just having to pay for the 240k the day before. Why would I go back? They were honest and sympathetic. It was clear they just wanted to do the right thing and they were trying to make best of my bad set of circumstances. Another short story: back in November 2012, they were conducting another maintenance on the same car and found that some of my tires were worn dangerously thin on the inside side of the tread (where no one could see it unless it was up on a hydraulic lift). My tires were suffering from uneven wear - they looked okay when you looked at them but they were worn down to the cords on the inside treads of the tire. These guys found something that was a very serious safety issue - those tires could of blown out at any time. It is examples like these that make Japanese Connection a great place to go for car repairs/service.n

Wonderful! Ben got my truck in on a moments notice so that Josh could diagnose the code. Ben located the part and got it ordered and Josh replaced it. All this in under 40 minutes on a Monday morning. Couldn't be happier. I'm a long time customer of the Japanese Connection and will remain that way.

The driver side door of my 2000 Toyota Camry could not be properly closed and the door light indicator keeps getting on and off while driving. The door would swing open sometimes while turning to the right. It is kind of scary. I read the reviews on Japanese Connection Inc Auto Repair and thought I should go to them for the repair, and I did. What a pleasant experience I had with the folks at Japanese Connection Inc Auto Repair! Not only are they good at what they do, but they really take good care of their customers as though the customers are their friends. Two mechanics spent about 20 min of their time on the diagnosis and fixing of the problem, and they did it for free. I wanted to pay for their work, but they insisted that it was a small problem and declined my offer of payment. The least I can do is to give them a thumps-up; I definitely recommend them to any one with a car repair need in Colorado Springs, and I will go to them again if I have any car problems in the future.

Greeted by owner on phone. Conversation cordial and friendly.. Car scheduled within 48 hours. Service//inspection performed without delay. They will honest and forth right in terms of what needed to be done and what could wait. There was no pressure to perform services not requested. Final cost as per estimate. I will be using hem in the future and would recommend theirs services.

After increasingly bad experiences with the dealerships we decided to try an independent shop. We found JC through Angie's List and gave them a try. Our 1994 Toyota Camry with 195K miles had a transmission fluid leak causing the transmission to slip. The guys at Japanese Connection took a look and found the pump front seal to be bad but did not know if the pump itself needed to be replaced. They gave us an estimate for the seal replacements and another that included the pump if they found it needed to be replaced too. They also gave us an estimate on replacing the valve cover gasket to fix an engine oil leak, suggesting that if we replace the spark plugs at the same time we could save the labor charges. It took 2 days to finish the work because the transmission had to be removed and remounted, but they have a courtesy van (with no waiting!) for drop off and pick-up, so no problem there. They also gave you a list of recommended repairs and make sure you understand what repairs may be dangerous and should be done immediately and what can wait. Another thing I really appreciate is that the guys at JC do not give me the hard sell on services I don't need. The waiting room is not posh but they do have wireless internet, and you don't get the feeling your paying for the "free popcorn", leather seats and gianormous big screen TV's they have at the dealerships! Overall, I would highly recommend Japanese Connection. The guys are friendly and knowledgeable and their prices are very fair. I did not get an estimate from the dealership but I know it would have been far more.

It took three separate visits to completely resolve the problem. Japanese Connection did additional research after I was not satisfied with the result of their first fix to the problem. Based on their research of the problem, they advised me as to my options and whether there was a safety issue involved (there was not). I chose their recommendation for the repair and was happy with the resulting fix. I was also happy with how they charged me for their time and effort. They are very fair and straight-forward with their customers.

Kraig and his team are always helpful, courteous, and, most importantly, honest. Repairs are performed quickly and correctly, with only necessary repairs being undertaken. They have been servicing our vehicles for over 10 years, and even spent a day diagnosing a problem and never charged us for it. They are true professionals and are highly recommended.

'If there were an option to rate more than 5 A's, I would do so. Past experience with other auto repair companies left me uneasy about finding honest and ethical service. Japanese Connections simply obliterated those concerns. I was especially intent on finding a trustworthy company as the car belongs to my daughter who is currently deployed and I am entrusted with its care.
