It did not go well. Because they fit our job in between other jobs they were rushed. Being in a hurry they were not careful. Areas that should have been taped were not. Then paint was slopped on and had to be removed wasting valuable time. I am still finding paint spray from brushes being used quickly. The floors were not protected except where it met the floor board. Scuff marks were made all across brand new wood floor in one room and had to be removed with mineral spirits. The paint on the baseboards has drips here and there that were not smoothed out with the brush and then the drips dried in place. The response with regard to the scuff marks was "I don't know what to say.". When you hire a PROFESSIONAL you expect them to act that way from start to finish. Any painter worth his salt knows to protect any surface where you don't want paint or scuffs. Attention to detail, time management and hiring skilled labor are all key skills to be in command of as a professional painting service.
Description of Work: Brian Blake Services was brought in as a sub-contractor for a flooring company to paint trim surrounding new wood staircase. We hired them additionally to paint baseboards affected by new flooring throughout a good portion of our home.
