American Electrician

The electrician was a super nice and friendly person. Really liked him. The 2 lights I had him move ended up being off-center and my husband had to move both after he left. For $820.00, I felt that the job could/should have cost less than half of what I paid. Extremely disappointed in price, happy with the electrician.

We had American add lighting to rooms where there was none. They knew their stuff! Very professional and clean. The pricing was more than fair. We have a major addition we want to do in a few years, and we will be sure to call American do the electrical work.

I spent $385 dollars for a single circuit diagnostic to find out why one outlet and a light switch were not working. They didn't fix the problem and the tech said the next step was to spend $4,800 to replace every switch and outlet in the entire home. Every switch and outlet in the entire home to fix one outlet and light switch! Outrageous! Even worse I had a general contractor take a look and they fixed the problem in 45 minutes. They went into the attic, found the electrical wire and traced it through the insulation to a switch in the bathroom with a loose connection. Fixed for a fraction of what they charged me just to do a diagnostic. I'm so glad I didn't spend $5000 on a "fix" that a licensed contractor completed in less than an hour for significantly less than American Electric's diagnostic fee. What a waste of $385. I can't speak for American Electric's installation services - I'm sure those are fine but stay very, very far away from this company when used for diagnostics. I can't believe they have techs that recommend replacing every outlet and switch in the house rather than use common sense and isolate the one faulty wire. I can't imagine how much money has been wasted by other homeowners when they are looking for a straightforward fix.

This Company has completed nearly every electrical upgrade possible in our Denver home and we have been incredibly pleased with the quality and reliability of their work. They are always on time, are careful to clean up after, and take great pride in completing their work. Don Irons is a great Manager of his team. He is a good communicator and always makes sure everything is done correctly, functioning properly, completed as promised and on time. Highly Recommend!

Very personable electrician named John. He worked very hard and did a great job!

The tech who arrived was on time, neat and clean; very professional appearing. Then he proceeded to inform me about his enormous resume and how there was no electrical contracting company in the Colorado Springs area who new their ass from a hole in the ground and how great HE was. Did NOT fix the entire problem, but offered an $800.00 rewiring job since "HE did not have the time to trouble shoot the problem. Needless to say, I did NOT proceed and with the assistance of my neighbor DID fix the problem which was NOT in the wiring this ASS HOLE would have fixed if I had accepted the $800.00 bid. Will NEVER use American Electrician again. They should be removed from you referral listing.

I live in a 3 story house and the air-conditioning couldn’t reach the Top floor. Once American Electrician installed our whole house fan up in the attic, all the rooms upstairs are cold.

I would like to thank Jonathan for his professionalism and his patience with me. Johnathan came to my house to replace and to assemble and install this very beautiful ceiling fan in my living room. Well, unbeknownst to me, the bulbs didn’t come with the ceiling fan. There was nothing that could be done until I had the bulbs. Johnathan kindly put everything back in the box, looked over the instructions and told me what led bulbs to buy and where I could get them from. Johnathan called his office to see if his schedule was open for the next day. So, day two I bought the led bulbs, but failure on my part,the smaller bulbs wasn’t the correct ones. Johnathan, once again researchers the correct bulbs and gave me all the information for the correct bulbs at Home Depot. The importance of me getting these led bulbs was so that if the regular bulbs that I had bought happened to blow out sooner rather than later. then I would have to take the ceiling fan completely down because the bulbs were encased on top and enclosed. Johnathan wanting to make sure that I wouldn’t have to worry about this, once again told me which bulbs I needed to get. This time he had everything written down and what aisle at Home Depot to find them. Johnathan called his office again to see when he’d be available to come back out. Scheduled for a few days later and I had the correct bulbs. Once all was said and done my ceiling fan was indeed a very beautiful ceiling fan. Sorry for this being so long, but I had to tell you how patient and professional Johnathan was to me. He didn’t charge me xtra for wasting his precious time. If anyone is looking to get a ceiling fan installed, I would highly recommend American Electrician. Thank you so very much I really appreciated all that was done for me.

Expensive but hopefully it will be worth it

Had to get a ceiling fan fixed or replaced. Our technician was quick and efficient, providing the various options and price points available to me. I decided to get it replaced and he even picked up the new fan for me that day; the entire project was completed in only a few hours, and the cost was reasonable and fair. Very satisfied with the outcome, I will definitely be returning to American Electrician for all of my electrical needs.

Arrival time ended up being later than the original window, but our electrician did call that morning to let us know. Also, the original quote we were given came in quite a bit higher than one we we received from a competitor. Other than that, we experienced no issues and were happy with the service.

John knew exactly what I wanted and answered all of my questions as he was performing the work. I was so impressed I had additional work done that I was planning to do next year. He also is very informative regarding deficiencies that needed to be upgraded due to no longer being in compliance to current building codes and safety.

Great electrician and will use them again. Definitely not the least expensive however, as with most things, you get what you pay for! Highly recommended.
