Description of Work: Never again! Matt came to our house 6/9, ran the snake once (claimed four times) then stated they'd need to dig our entire yard and do major pipe replacement at almost $3000. Said he'd be back that night with equipment to locate the sewer and water line. Called later and said he'd return the following day. He did not come back or so much as call. For the next three days we got empty promises of improved service with more of the same...NOTHING! Promised to come to our house Sunday morning between 9-10. At 11, I called them and they said they'd had an emergency back-up so they took that call ahead of us without so much as phoning us. Everything in our house has been backing up for a week and they blew us off again! Three sinks, two tubs, two toilets, dishwasher and washing machine are all backing up, our basement floods and we get shoved to the bottom of the list even after waiting a week!? You have permanently lost our business and our recommendation! Also, Matt knocked a large chunk of paint and plaster off the corner of our living room wall while bringing in his equipment. Absolutely disgusted with this business and their completely unresponsive and incompetent staff. No resolution possible. I only want others to be warned of their incompetence. I chose them specifically because they had good ratings and I don't want another person with serious plumbing problems charged for service they didn't receive, and unnecessarily delayed by empty promises of service that will never come.

Description of Work: Toilets were flushing slow, disposal stopped working. The young man that came out was very courtieous, through, and knowledgeable regarding the work to be preformed. Work was completed. He cleaned up the mess afterwards. He also provided suggestions on how to prevent this problem in the future. My disposal was beyond repair, but he did try.

Description of Work: While moving my refrigerator to get at a plug in the wall behind the refrigerator, I broke the copper water supply line for the ice-maker and water faucet. I called " Affordable Plumbing and Heating" doing business at 1304 Market St., Colorado Springs, CO 80904. A service technician named David came out on October 10, 2012 and upon his recommendation he installed a fexible silver color line, so as not to break in the future. We immediately noticed a bad taste in the water and in the ice cubes. I called "Affordable Plumbing and Heating" to complain about the problem with the water taste. He apologized for my inconvenience and said that the technicain failed to flush out the line before installation. There is a powder in the line during manufacture and shipping. He also said that it is not harmful and would disappear soon with continued use. On November 7, 2012, I called back to complain again about the situation. Due to the medications I have to take causing dehydration I have to drink plenty of water and can't put up with this situation and I should not have to. I requested correction of this problem. I was told that the manger would call back the next day to make arrangements for correction of the situation. No call was received. On November 8, 2012, I had to call another plumbing company to fix the problem. They said that they could replace the line, but since the icemaker is now contaminated, it must be replaced also. (Note: They do not sell icemakers and recommended that I try Lowes or Home Depot.) Affordable Plumbing and Heating's mitake is going to cost me another service call plus parts and whatever an icemaker costs.

Description of Work: We were getting one of our rental houses ready to sell and had a maid service clean it. They called to say that the dishwasher was overflowing and not draining properly. We called Affordable and Justin came out the next day. He found that there were no problems except that the maids had used liquid diswashing soap to clean the inside and the soap was foaming so much that suds were oozing out. He wiped down the inside, ran the washer several times to get rid of the soap, and checked all of the fittings. Problem solved, plus he only charged 1/2 the normal service rate. For sure we'll use these guys again.

Description of Work: My old water heater died, what a mess. After consulting a local plumbing supply company about the type of new heater I desired, they suggested several plumbing companies to do the job. I selected Affordable Plumbing based on their phone quote and ability to get to my project quickly. They arrived promptly, installed the heater without any problems and charged the amount they had quoted. The workman was pleasant, cleaned up after the job and very professional.
