Great! Raymond was outstanding...personable, efficient, and knowledgeable. I would definitely use Raymond and Affordable again. His efficiency was a plus. Excellent repair. He had me inspect the job before closing it up.

See above. Needless to say. They won't gain our business again and believe I will tell everyone I know. Business 101 finish the job you came do do. The job he did was a $20 job, but we ended with a $250 Bill. **Update, Ted at affordable had offered to come out and check the toilet again, but we had already scheduled with another plumber. The other plumber did find the toothbrush and was able to retrieve it out of the toilet. Ted did give us $75 back from the poor job done, and we were ok with that..

The workers that came out were great. They were very professional, friendly and helpful. They left the area pristine clean when they left.

I wrote a very negative review about this business here on Angies list. I cant figure out how to edit it or remove it so am writing another. After the plumber general manager Ted saw my review he called to try to make things right. I was very impressed he did so. He also had the plumber who came to my house on the phone as well. I wasnt sure about talking to them at first but they were very polite and apologized profusely. I do think at least part of my experience was a misunderstanding on both sides. What really impressed me was that they did not ask me to remove my negative review. They never even mentioned it...they just wanted a second chance to do another estimate and then to do the work for me and do a good job. It was my idea to amend my review and I wanted to do so because they were so sincere. After that experience, I would definitely give them a second chance on a future plumbing need. It takes a big person to apologize and I am very impressed!

They arrived when they said, found a quick solution and implemented it immediately. We were very pleased.

It was an average experience. They came out on a Sunday within about four hours. The pricing was high. I might try a different one next time, just to see the difference, I would consider them again.

Tim figured out the problem right away--leak under toilet into basement ceiling below. He was courteous, professional, and really knew what he was doing. I have used this company in the past with great success. This was another A service!

He was professional and on time! He always calls before coming out. He is also very knowledgeable & friendly.

plumber called to say they would arrive within 30 minutes which they did. Looked at pipe, cut and installed new section with PVC. Simple and straightforward. Overall, service and install was very good but pricing seems high for work done. Parts not much and whole job was about 20 minutes, if that.

We have had this sewer line regularly drained and used root-x as recommended. Tech sent out was new to job and tried to be helpful, but had some problems. A huge snow storm had come thru day before so lots of snow and ice. Tech did not have snow chains on his truck so he got stuck outside the house (top of a hill), he had no booties so he tracked snow on our rugs, he didn't have adequate tarping, etc to get the sewer drain machine downstairs to basement level so I assisted with carrying it down over rug to prevent more snow/dirt on rugs (machine weighs several hundred pounds!) I would have cancelled the job but backing up was already happening and I didn't want to go a full day without water and toilet facilities as getting to other places that day was restricted by icy roads. We had used this service before and now pricing for same service was up almost 42% in just six months (reportedly under new management with lots of price increases). THAT is substantial increase!!

The problem only required a seal to be fixed on the bathroom drain. The problem is solved.

They were good. I would use them again in the future.

It went just fine. They had to order the part and come back, so we did have several days with the problem. There were two guys that came out and they were both really nice and we have not had an issue since the work was completed.

The day of the appointment, the tech called @ 9:02 am. They said the message they left was that they would be there in 1/2 hour. I also got a message from their office. When I got the message 1/2 hour later. I was told because I did not talk to the tech @ 9:02 am they cancelled my appointment. The woman then told me that they could have some one come out to do the kitchen between 12-5 that evening. But they were not going to be doing the heater because there would need to be different tech. Their heater tech's were all booked and they could not come out for two more days between 3 and 7 pm. So I called another plumbing company and they got a heater tech out to my house in 1 hour. And the plumbing tech is coming out between 1-5 today. I have used Affordable Plumbing and Heat for 3 and 1/2 years. I was happy with their service. But a couple months ago they charged me $150 to reset a toilet. They spent 15 mins on the task. The plumber told me I would need a new toilet. After resetting the seal, the toilet makes a strange noise when you flush the toilet. Then this debacle over getting my kitchen re-connected after having now cook top or sink for a week and a half and sitting around waiting for them to show up. Cancelling my appointment because I did not call right back.Then not be able to do what they said they could do. I will never use this plumbing company again."Not so" Afforable Plumbing and Heat.

The technician returned the next day to fix a leak, under the kitchen sink, that was created by him the previous day, after installing a new garbage disposal. He told me the new leak was from the faucet, not the garbage disposal . I told him there had never been a leak from the faucet, only from the garbage disposal. He insisted the leak was coming from the faucet. I showed him where the water was pooling under the sink, which was right under the pipe leading to the garbage disposal not the faucet. To make a long story short.....I told him to replace the faucet with a new one that I had in my supply closet. I had a new Tenant due to arrive within the hour and I didn't want to argue the point. I called Affordable immediately to let them know I was not happy with being deceived, just so the tech could make a commission for selling the customer something they really didn't need. After four phone calls to Affordable ....one of them ending with "don't worry about the charges they were 'backed off' ". I kept receiving bills every month, which I finally forwarded to the owner of the apartment complex that I manage. We no longer use Affordable. If we can't trust the integrity of the technician, we won't trust the integrity of the business owner.

Accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it.

They had to charge for the pump. The call out was $80. I would recommend them.

They were good. The price was for the service and supplies. Overall, our experience with them was pretty good.

The technician, Cecil, called to give us an estimated time of arrival. He was punctual, professional, and thorough. I could tell he loves his job because he described everything that he was doing and answered all of my questions as well as gave advice. He started with the tankless water heater first by flushing it with a cleaning fluid for 45 minutes or so. While that was going, he started the service on the boiler. While checking the burner, pilot light, and switches, he found a corrosive thermocouple that needed to be replaced. So he replaced it and recommended that I keep one on hand, since it is the most vulnerable part that will breakdown. He checked everything and vacuum and cleaned it up. Then back the Tankleass water heater, since flush was finished. He checked everything and even called the factory to check the controller workings. We also talked about other problems that I was having with my water pressure. He check the inlet pressure and the drop in pressure when one valve is opened. Too much pressure drop, so he suggested the inlet regulator pressure valve need to be replaced. Additional major service for the tankless water heater and replacing leaky water gate valves on the boiler at a later appointment. If you have tankless water heater, these guys know their stuff. We also got a discount for the service fees and I will get a discount on my next appointment. Affordable Plumbing & Heat are the real deal. Thanks!
