A-1 SPRINKLER SERVICE & REPAIR

The technician was on time and proceeded to work on the sprinkler system. I was concerned about water getting into my Screened room patio and was assured that he would redirect the sprinklers away from the patio. The area was cleaned and organized. Excellent Customer service. I would highly recommend them.

Quoted me $100 per hour plus parts, open ended, to repair/replace my damaged sprinkler backflow. I am a CPA with a four year degree and another three years of experience required before I can get a license and have 15 additional years of career experience under my belt and I don't even make that much per hour. It's ridiculous. No thank you, found a company who provided a quality repair at much more reasonable rates elsewhere.

FANTASTIC! We have used A1 Sprinklers for years. Linda (in the office) is extremely helpful and communicates well with the guys. She handles everything and when the guys come out they know exactly what needs to be done. Professional, efficient and the job is completed in one visit.

He were fantastic. He was outfront with how much it's going to cost. He was thorough. He kept running on the sprinkler to make sure that the repair was right. He didn't just repair and go. He explained which type of head he is replacing. They have quality products. For every step of the way he was explaining what to fix and why it failed. He gave me a detailed of what is wrong.

I have been using this firm for many years to winterize the system annually and make any needed repairs during the watering season. The 2011 upgrade took five men several days and involved extensive excavating of existing lines as well as installing 12 new valves. The men worked steadily and were diligent in returning the landscape to its previous state (e.g. putting sod and rocks back). They were polite and cleaned up after themselves well.

Excellent! After they were done, the sprinkler system worked very well (and it had really did not before their repairs).

I called based on the recommendation of a friend. A-1 said that they were booking 10-14 days out. Just when I was ready to call back and ask when they would be scheduling me a repair guy shows up at the house. Thank goodness I was home and not at work! I showed him where the leak was and he repaired it in about 15 minutes by replacing one plastic part. When I went in the house I found that they had called at 8 a.m. (repair guy was at my door at about 10 a.m.) to let me know that he would be stopping by at 10. I was billed a $90 trip charge and $23.45 for the part. According to the repair guy the reason that I received a service call with no advance notice was because they were already in the area. I called the office when I received the bill to confirm that 15 minutes of work was worth a little over a hundred dollars and she stuck by the price. I pointed out that I could pretty much fill my suburban with gas for that single trip charge, that my vet and the lawn mower repair guy charged $50 and $60 respectively for a trip charge, and my horseshoer who comes from 60 miles away with a truck carrying a portable forge only charges a $10 trip charge when he is combining trips to my area, all to no avail. I am at fault for not nailing down a trip charge before having them come, but it still seems like a pretty stiff penalty...I wish I made $400 an hour! To be fair, the repair seems to be fine and I am old enough to know better than to agree to a service without a price quote up front.
