In everything we do, whether it's in the office or in your home, we strive to do what's right. But what does "right" mean to us? What standard are we measuring ourselves against? The answer is hidden in our company's name.
A "plumb line" is a string attached to a weight. Its purpose is to ensure that something is upright and straight. It provides an objective standard against which one can measure what he has built.
Our "plumb line"—our test for doing what's right—is doing what's true, fair, and upright according to the moral standards set by God.
Jeff Belk, our founder, used that standard to create our company's Core Values.
These values inhabit every nook and cranny of Plumbline Services. Meaning these are the values we hire by. Fire by. And—most importantly for you—live by.
He was 20 minutes late even though they advertise timely service. He walked in with moon shoes and after he visited our home he was terminated due to the poor service he provided us. He initally quoted me $500 for the instillation which was comparable to the other 2 qoutes that we had received. We choose this company because they were on Angie's List. I have been a buisness man for 27 years and I understand numbers and how it works. By the time we were finished speaking he estimated a final price of $1,000 which was double the price. He then tried to go to $1,150. I told him absolutely not. I told him to honor the $1,000 and complete the instillation. He continued to raise the price but I refused. He was here for 3 hours and ten minutes. Unfortunately, I payed him in cash. I now regret giving him cash and wish I would have charged my master card. After we left we used the sink and it flooded the entire foundation of our under the sink cabinets. We could not use it for 48 hours. Finally, after two days, someone else returned. They brought out a "journeyman" meaning someone who is fully licensed and qualified in the state to perform such procedures. He mitigated the problem. He was here for an hour and half. He fixed all the repairs that the original guy did. The journeyman was professional and very apologetic. Then he informed us that the previous guy who made the initial instillation was fired. I called PLUMBLINE SERVICES to discuss the charges and demand a partial refund between $425 and $500. A manager started to scream at me, be little me, and used profound language. I received not only horrible treatment from the initial installer but also the management staff. He was rude, pompous, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional. He tried to intimidating me and harassing me. I told him I was going to report him to several agencies including the BBB. Someone else got on the phone, overheard the conversation. This man was a lot more empathetic, professional, and promised a $200 refund over the phone. He said will send me a refund if I promise not to send bad reviews to those agencies. I did receive the refund but I feel it is safe now to report. They exacerbated the entire situation with their attitudes and the way they handled this situation. I wrote them a letter and demanded they remove me from their mailing list and explained the situation. I was removed from the list.
Description of Work: PLUMBLINE SERVICES installed a stainless steal kitchen sink. We bought the sink, parts including faucets and sprays. We bought it in advance for $400. All we wanted was for them to install the sink.

They are good. I spend a couple of hundred per year on different things. They have put in a new water heater. They have great, great service. The workers do great work. They really have the customer in mind and they stand by their warranties. I am very satisfied with them. They do a great job. Their prices are not that competitive and I imagine I could get their prices anywhere.

Plumbline showed up at the time we agreed on, wore little booties and was very polite and professional. I was asked to sign an invoice but since we'd used their services in the past for emergency leaks I didn't spend much time on it, just initialed and left for work. I absolutely agree that I should have looked at the prices more closely before initialing but my mind saw them as $34 and $24 for the two items being replaced when they were actually $390 for replacing the basket strainer and $276 for replacing the p-trap. Just to be clear; that's one metal bowl thingie that screws onto the bottom of the sink and one length of plastic pipe maybe 2 feet long with a bend in it. He did the work in an hour, added on a "min service fee" of 42.95 and later my wife located a $50 discount and gave that to him which he subtracted off of the bill. Like I said, he was professional and courteous but that is an amazing price for 2 feet of pipe, a drain and 1 hour work. That's $11/minute of his time. I should have asked him to leave instead of initialing so that's 100% my bad. That said, I will never call Plumbline Services for any reason again. I will mention this interaction to anyone who asks and make certain that my neighbors all know that their prices our outlandish.
Description of Work: We had an ongoing slow leak under the sink and the existing plumbing was as tight as I could get it. We were concerned about mold and decided to just hire a plumber to replace everything from the basket to the p-trap since I had replaced the basket a year earlier and simply could not get it tight enough to stop leaking.

Ejector pump failed, so sewage line out to septic tank was stopped. They arrived on time as agreed, and Matt the service guy was SUPER nice and professional. He did an inspection, and explained how things looked, and alternatives. This was a big repair, and needed to be done ASAP, so I didn't have any price comparison so this was a big check to write. But it was a pretty good size repair and part, was done really well, quickly, and was very professional and courteous. We also signed up for the next year of service since this is a new house for us, and we need the A/C, furnace and water heaters looked at for future maintenance. Signing up for their maintenance contract saves you a little money too.

It was an awful experience and I feel that I was really taken advantage of. I phoned this company and also wrote them a letter complaining about their appalling charges. I cancelled their trip out to install a pressure regulator the following week.. The fees that I was charged were supposed to be discounted. They called them their "comfort" price. Their normal prices are even higher (can you believe that?)
Description of Work: I moved into an old house in Old Littleon on June 2, 2011. I immediately realized that there was a leak in the wall behind my bath tub. I did not have access to my computer and I only had a cell phone. The only company that I had the name of was Pumbline becauese one of my renters had called them and had sent me a copy of her bill. Unfrotunately, I called them to come in fix my leak. They were very prompt and came right out. Their workman verified that I did indeed have a leak in the wall behind my bath tub and that it was probable due to the fact that these old houses have galvanized pipe and that all of the plumbing in the house should probably be replaced because it will contintue to deterioriate. He cut into the wall behind the tub and as it turned out there was copper pipeing. The old tub faucet needed to be replaced and he offered to sell me a $500 faucet. He said it was a really good one, however I declined and ran to Home depot and purchased a Kohler tub faucet for much less than $500 and I also purchased a Kitchen sink faucet because he said he could install that as well. Bottom line they charged me $628 to install the tub faucet (which I supplied) $347 to instal the kitchen faucet (which I supplied) $95 for "additional time to open the wall" so the leak could be repaired. He charged me $178 for a gas leak search which was only a loose fitting and it took him all of 10 minutes. Then he was going to charge me $724 to install a pressure regulator that he would come back the following week to install. Unfortunately, this was my first experience in the Denver area with service companies. When I finally was able calm down and to realize that my plumbing was not going to be rotting away and I had time to think and really look and their charges and discuss with my family, I realized that I had really been taken. I am 75 years old and I admitt that I don't think as fast as I once did. I just want to warn people about this company and their outlandish fees and charges.

Things went well but I thought they were way over priced. They came out, it was late at night, I didn't mine the money for the service price. Although, I thought that they really overpriced the service in the part that they provided. They did what they were supposed to do. I guess my only hang up is price. I didn't have any problem with the guy that came out, the timing, and all that. I just thought that the work done was way over priced.

What struck me and continues to strike me about the company is the way they work. They try very hard to get you to sign up for a year's service. They also push you very hard. They are extremely friendly and extremely responsive. They actually do the work. When they show up, there is tremendous amount of pressure first of all to sign a contract which I made the mistake of doing one time and will never do again. The other thing that this company seems to be known for is they will do the job they came to do, but they will continue to press you to do other things in your home and spend more money. It took one visit for me to figure that out. I ceased working with them after that. There are a lot of people who say the same thing. It's a little bit of a catch-22 because if you have an emergency they will be out here in a minute. They are very nice. It's a corporate philosophy that is a little hard for me to take. My guess is that there are a lot of people who get taken in by them and end up spending a tremendous amount of money with these folks.

We purchased a home in August that had many light fixtures that did not suit our furniture. The two electricians moved or replaced a total of eight lights and charged us $1200. Although the work appears to be done well and the electricians were obviously knowledgeable and competent, I feel we were charged way too much. I had them do the work anyway because we will have a houseful of guests for the holidays and I didn't want further disruption during their stay. The plumber was very personable but I knew his estimate was way out of line, and since the plumbing concerns were not an emergency, I sent him on his way.
Description of Work: I called Plumb Line on a neighbor's recommendation as I needed to have some lights moved and had a plumbing issue in our barn. The electricians moved lights around and replaced lights in my daughters' bathroom. The plumber looked at our barn projects, gave an estimate that was exorbitant, and we sent him away.

Plumbline has been my main contractor for plumbing for years. Most recently the plumbing fix involved replacing a water heater and kitchen faucet with garbage disposal. They come immediately when called for an emergency. They called before they arrived to confirm the timing. They quickly diagnosed the problem and involved me in the problem diagnostics as well as the solutions. They showed me how to find a serial number on a product and how to look it up on line. They showed me where I can find relevant building codes or tax credit information. For drain problems, they video taped the drain and then showed me the root system, which looked like spider webs, crisscrossing the pipes. They immediately assuage every fear about the problem being too technical for me to understand or my being overwhelmed by technical mumbo jumbo. Instead, they show me how to find information myself to confirm (or disconfirm - but this has never happened) their diagnosis. The technicians who come are friendly but very professional. They are always sorry to tell me when there is a significant ($$$) problem but also give me lots of options with their best estimate for what makes the most sense, financially in the short term AND the long term. They replaced the water heater with a much more efficient and effective model. Then they turned to the kitchen sink which had been "fixed" so many times before but never really stopped leaking. It would stop leaking from one place and then develop another leak almost immediately. The kitchen sink required a lot of work. The technician showed me all the problems caused by inferior fixes in the past. As with most problems in an old house, one thing is connected to the next thing by 10 or 100x. We ended up replacing all the fixtures, the garbage disposal and the plumbing. I could see for myself as the tech pointed out the problems and I could easily recall which of the many plumbing fixes had created the problem I was looking at. Other plumbers connected pipes that didn't properly fit or garbage disposals that had apertures on the wrong side or a faucet that protruded over the top of the window sill and could not turn into the sink. I assumed that all these cheap fixes were the best way to go. Finally, I had to have the kitchen kickboard and base of the sink replaced since it had rotten away. The contractor said to get the sink done professionally by a plumbing contractor and that is when I turned to Plumbline. Now I wonder why I did not call them sooner for everything?? The steady drip drip of my faucet is gone, the boards around the sink are dry, there is no bad smell, it is very attractive fixture without looking like a space ship. My hot water comes instantly. They call at 1 week after the fix and again within 30 days. I think my favorite thing is that they teach me how to look at my home. It doesn't have to be so frightening or nasty. I am treated so well, cordially, technically but not with the intent to baffle me with obscurity. I really appreciate these people. It may seem that you can do much better with a quick trip to a home fix-it store to DIY. I can say definitively that using Plumbline would have saved me thousands of dollars to fix these kind of cheap repairs and the aftermath of flooding or damages.
Description of Work: Plumbline came immediately when my basement flooded. Usually a visit involves their roto rooting through the old tree roots in our lines. This time, they found that the very old water heater had cracked. While they were here, I asked them to take a look at the kitchen faucet which seemed to always be leaking after successive (other) plumber fixes.

tech was very punctual and professional. I had plumbline install the unit so I had them back to service it, tech explained the flat rate pricing and explained that a "spring start up" was something like $250 and to clean the coils was an additional $200 or so dollars, since I wanted the unit topped off I reluctantly agreed to the spring start up. Tech fired up the unit, checked the pressures, looked at the evap coil in the attic, and reported to us that the unit was "a little low on refrigerant but it was too cold to try and add any" that day. so effectively I paid $200+ for someone to turn my ac on, try to sell me a service plan, and tell me something I already knew.

We were in a hurry and my roommate was freaking out because we didn?t know if it was an emergency. I called them, and the guy came out really quickly, and was professional and did the work well. The communication was not very clear, and that?s probably because my roommate?s car was stolen during the night. He charged me $700 and it was ridiculous in my opinion. I wasn?t pleased about that. I called the company back and complained a little and they sent me back $110. I called another provider afterward and gave him the details and he was just shocked. I knew that he might be biased with his opinion since he was a competitor. I checked with a few other electricians, and also went on Angie?s List, and there were a lot of reports saying pretty much that Plumbline was pricey. There was another outlet that we thought he had fixed, but it stopped working. I called him over and he said that he didn?t fix that outlet. I was very busy when everything happened and I had no way of knowing, but he did fix it for free. They were willing to make good, but I don?t like to work with someone that I feel needs policing.

They're overpriced. The guy did a good job but it seemed to take an awfully long time. He did good quality work. He was on time. After I hired them, I called a couple other places to see what they would charge for the same service, and I got several estimates that were lower. After I got the estimates, I called Plumbline back and they did take about $275 off my charge, but they were still higher than others, even after the discount. That's a plus for them, that they went ahead and did that. The work was good, I just thought they were overpriced. I might consider using them in the future.

I was informed by the very nice punctual and professional electrician that the box supporting my ceiling fan was not in accordance with current electrical code. He said he would need to replace it in order for him to work on the light fixture. I was absolutely dismayed when he told me how much it would cost. He said that there was a danger that the whole fixture could fall from the ceiling and injure someone if it was left as is. He had a binder that showed the breakdown of the cost of the work to be performed and indicated that the bulk of the cost was based on the cost of the very expensive bracket needed to support the fan. I had the work performed and initially the fan and light appeared to be operating correctly. Shortly thereafter the whole fan started to wobble and create a circular groove in the popcorn ceiling. I had to take the fixture down before it damaged the ceiling. I received a follow up call from Plumbline to inquire about my level of satisfaction. I told the operator that I was extremely dissatisfied with the work that was done. I was told a supervisor would contact me. It has yet to happen even though I called tonight and the operator confirmed this evening that "Karen" had been given the message. What really made me angry is that I saw a similar bracket at a home improvement store for 1/5 of the cost and that I had to have my handyman replace both the bracket and the fixture.

The operation went smoothly. The only complaint is that the PRICE WAS EXPENSIVE. With that said, the technician was very professional, courteous, and quickly fixed the problem.

They then fixed the A/C unit quickly, and we were back up and running within an hour.
