Go Green Clean

They were prompt on getting back to me and giving me an estimate. I was very specific with what I wanted done and did a thorough walk through with the owner and the two people who came to do the cleaning. The house had been under construction for a couple of months so it was pretty evident what needed to be done. I left for a few hours to go do errands and when I came home they were already gone. When I looked around I found that the floors were worse than when they arrived, the walls, trim, shutters and many other surfaces were far from clean. They had missed a lot of spots and clearly didn't take their time or use a wet rag. We have white trim and dark walls so everything is evident. When I called she apologized and sent someone back that night. He admitted that he didn't even vacuum the floors because he was afraid it would scrape. I told them when I did a walk through that the floors were durable and I have vacuumed them several times in the construction process. Because they are dark hand scraped floors he just pushed the construction dust into the crevices. I pointed out several places that were missed on several different surfaces, I was actually embarrassed and felt bad about doing this but I felt that the job should have been better and they should have spent more time here. He redid the floors, still only using water. Again, when I did the walk through with them I told them to use green products either they could supply or I would. After he left the floor still had a construction film on it. I spent two hours cleaning the floors again myself, with a green product that did a wonderful job. I sent her an email telling her that I was dissatisfied and felt bad but I didn't think the job was performed the way it should have been. She offered to come back and do a full cleaning. I told her I wasn't interested in them cleaning my house again and requested a refund. A month went by and I hadn't heard back from her so I sent her another email and she told me that she was taken back by my request and didn't know how to answer me but that she would not give me a refund. Not great business practices as far as I'm concerned.

The owner came to my house to give me an estimate and then was very timely and efficient in providing information and an overview of services. I get a reminder email before they arrive and they check in to make sure I am happy with the work and to see if I have any special requests for the day. It is so nice to have a clean, spotless home. They are punctual, professional, and very responsive to requests.
