My father had been diagnosed with interstertial lung disease and his doctor asked what he could have been exposed to. We had the house tested and found dangerously high levels of radon. I called RDS and they came out and installed the mitigation and fully explained to my parents the process and what they were doing. Once the mitigation was done, their tests came back way under safe levels. We then had our house tested and had to do the same thing. Colorado is known for high levels of radon, but no one seems to be in a hurry to do anything about it! I lost my father shortly after the work was done, but the damage had already been done to his lungs. The employees at RDS were very helpful through the process and I can't say enough about the workers that came out to our houses. They were very respectful and knowledgeable.

The men showed up on time, explained everything, leveled out the land by the house were they dug under the house. They let me know how it worked and what maintenance to expect and what it was like if it stopped. Even suggested a lock on the on/off switch so kids would not turn it off when playing. Everything went well and looks great. Waiting on Radon test mailed in today to see the results.

RDS Environmental was very thorough and professional in their work. RDS went the extra mile to make sure the mitigation was done properly according to current standards. They were great to work with, they answered our questions promptly, and gave us a very thorough report that documented their work. Their prices were very reasonable and their services were of excellent value. My new property manager and I are very impressed and enthusiastically recommend them.

They do not stand by their work. Installed their radon mitigation system in our new house in August 2013. We mailed in the test that they gave us and then heard nothing afterwards. Didn't think much about it until we put our house on the market this summer. House inspection revealed the radon levels were above the recommended threshold. We have had someone living in the basement space for he past 2 years. RDS Environmental did their own test that revealed the radon levels were high. When I asked them about their fix , they claimed it is not under warranty because we never sent in the test (never mentioned during other interactions). Their customer service has been exceptionally poor. I would not recommend using them.

It was a really good experience.  To start, I appreciated that they negotiated the price since I was having them work on two houses, and the systems were effective because the radon levels dropped quite quickly.  Furthermore, everyone from the office staff to the actual technicians went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the service.

Work was completed on time, as scheduled, and everyone that I talked to before, during, and after the installation was friendly and helpful, and willing to answer questions. Ultimately this is why I had chosen RDS- I just had a better feeling about the people there than at ACE Radon, who was the other company who came out to my house and gave me an estimate. The only sort of very minor annoyance is that the electrician required to connect the fan comes later... it was the same day, but is was an unspecified time, and so while the installation was less than a half day, I had to wait a few hours until the end of the day for the electrician to show up, and while he was friendly and efficient, I would like to have know what time he was scheduled to arrive.

These guys worked very hard to reduce our radon levels according to the timeframe we needed for the sale of our house. It seems ours was one of the more difficult cases and they stuck to it according to their original quote and guarantee even though they had to do much more work than they originally thought. They were able to get our radon level below the recommended 4.0  They were conscientious and cleaned up after their work. I would use them again but hope I don't have anymore radon problems.

Don and his team did an excellent job sealing the contaminated area while they performed the above scope of work.  Don exceeded our expectations from the start of his extensive knowledge, inspection, remediation process, removal of contaminated debrief, full clean up, sealing the area and follow up.  
RDS Environmental is still working at our home currently.  They continue to work with us to investigate and scope other areas of concern.  We will also be engaging in their services to mitigate Radon in our crawl space.

This is a company that is extremely knowledgable, excellent attention to customer service and pricing is reasonable for the extensive work which is completed.

They showed up right on time and did a great job.

Everything was explained and completed professionally.  The sump was sealed and the appropriate window installed and the air vent was installed from the sump to the roof.  The pipe was painted to match the house as well.  The fan was connected and operation well explained.  The only glitch was the application of the foam sealant around the basement perimeter.  We have the plastic covered fiberglass insulation around the basement walls.  The service person was not as careful as he should have been and there were some small gaps where he missed applying sealant.  This was my only complaint. Otherwise I felt the company did a professional job from the time I called through the completion of the job.

They arrived on time, covered the carpet with a plastic tarp. One man worked inside, drilling, while the other assembled the fan and chimney system on the outside wall. They finished more quickly than their estimate, and cleaned up all the dust. They explained the function of the system and gave me two radon test kits to see if the system lowers the radon to EPA limits.

I had an existing radon mitigation system with 4" pipe that was routed out the side of the garage like a dryer vent, right by the side door out to the back yard and venting down onto where you would come in and out of the door.
I wanted to bring this up to code by going straight out the garage roof away from doors and windows.
Don Humphrey is who came by for the estimate, which went great - I told him what I wanted and why and we agreed on how it would be done.
I appreciate that Don listened to what I wanted and worked from that, and was willing to take on this small job.  One of his competitors tried to convince me to do more work than I needed and did not seem willing to do only the small job I was asking for.
The work day went great, he sent 2 of his guys over in their van within their appointment window, and they knocked it out in a couple hours.  We reviewed the plan before starting to make sure everything would go in as planned, and everything came together as expected.  Smooth sailing, and the pipe route looks nice and clean.
The price seemed fair considering it involved a roof penetration, though I had nothing to compare it to as the other bids I got weren't for the exact same solution.
I forget the names of the 2 guys he sent, but they were nice and professional. I would definitely do business with them again.

Don spent time with us prior to the work being done to ensure we got a
good estimate and also understood what he was going to do.  He also
worked with the new buyers to make sure they were "happy" with the
placement of items (to fit with their future plans while ensuring that
the radon problem was fixed.  The exit from the house was placed in an
unobtrusive area so as not to look bad.  Also, he was able to get us
scheduled and the work completed when we needed (we were under some time
pressure since the buyers bank required the mitigation activity be
complete prior to closing.  

The guys were on time, placed protection up to protect the rest of the house, did their work timely and professionally, cleaned up and were out in the matter of a few hours.  Very satisfied with the total experience, they did a great job!

The process was all very seamless. Don showed up when he said he would, was efficient in preforming the work and was very aware that his work site was also our home. (He was very respectful and understanding of our dogs and kiddos). I would recommend them to anyone need Radon testing/mitigation.

They were very professional. I would recommend them to family and friends. They cleaned up after themselves. They also, at no charge replaced some loose siding on my home.

They gave us an estimate for $1500. They opened the wall and find figurations and then close the wall. They did not hack things. Instead they had the sucking kind and they did a great job. It was a lot more work than they expected. They knew how to do it right. They called in extra help and did it right instead of hacking at it. I have not spoken to them about the bill yet. They also vacuumed the place after they finished the work. They were punctual. They said they would be here at 7.30 am. They were here at 7.33 am.
