They had plenty of availability and got out fast. Tub wobbles a little bit, wasn't shimmed great, but overall it is fine, once it gets enough water in it that isn't really a problem. The charge for the work was the outrageous part. It consisted of a skilled plumber and a helper. The space was small enough so only one guy could work at a time. So it consisted mostly of the skilled plumber looking over the trainees shoulder and teaching. Its great to train someone new, but they charge $220 and hour for that for me to get the work of an amateur. I was in a tight spot because my tile guy came available before my plumber was available. I didn't want to use the tile slot, so I used someone I didn't know. And got burned big time on the price for it. Would have cost half from my usual plumber. Who would have gotten it done in half the time. The outrageous charge just made it not worth it. Next time I will just push my tile guy back.

Chaney came to my home and tightened a screw and adjusted a toilet. This tool about 15 minutes and $200. After Chaney left the toilet still did not completely flush. He returned and adjusted it again. I received another bill in the mail. I went in to the office to complain and see why I was billed again. They removed the charge after talking with Chaney. The toilet still doesn’t completely flush every time you flush it. I won’t call this plumber again.

Punctual, diagnosis problem, ordered and replaced part

Kerwin Plumbing was professional and provided excellent customer service. I received a free estimate to replace three gate valves (the valves no longer shut off) with ball valves. The work was scheduled at the requested date and time. The total price was $400 for three valves. Another plumber quoted nearly double for the same work. The cost was near the high end for cost estimator repair (approx. $130 per valve) but included minor repair to replace copper pipe. Kerwin also coordinated scheduling with the City of Broomfield to shutoff and turn the water back on (the City comes on schedule so this isn't an issue if you're worried about having your water shut off and turned back on). We would use Kerwin again for future plumbing needs.

I was awake last night with a stomach virus, and in the quiet of the night I could hear water running. I searched the house, the basement and crawl space following the sound. I finally located the leak in the crawl space. I called Shelly and left a message, which she returned promptly at 7 a.m. when they opened. (Kerwin has an emergency service but I didn't think I needed a middle-of-the-night response since it was a small leak.) The plumber was here within a half hour (7:30 a.m.) and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. I'm so grateful for their quick response!! And I thought the cost was very reasonable. I have used another plumber in the past but the other company's prices were much more expensive than Kerwin's. I'm so pleased with Kerwin that I have another job at my daughter's place that I'm asking them to give me an estimate on. So more on Kerwin later.... :-) Happy customer. By the way, Kerwin is BBB accredited with an A+ rating. In business since 1978, I believe.

Service was everything you could hope for, prompt, friendly, professional, reasonable rates. Would absolutely use them again.

Our tankless hot water heater was working intermittently. We were also intermittently smelling natural gas. We had removed the cover to the hot water heater and attempted to read the codes to see if we could troubleshoot it ourselves, and had removed and cleaned the water filter. But we did not feel like we were equipped to do anything else and needed professional help. We turned off the natural gas to the unit because we were concerned there could be a leak. We called Kerwin out to fix it. They came out the following day. When the repair person arrived, he was clean and polite, but he didn't seem to really know tankless hot water heaters. He spent a lot of time on his phone, looking stuff up on the internet. He spent about 20 minutes troubleshooting, but did not find anything wrong. (Admittedly, the hot water heater was again working at the time he came). He did not address the smell of natural gas that we reported to him. We were charged $155 for the service call, and we did not feel like the repair person was fully equipped to deal with our tankless hot water heater, and he didn't even bother to replace the cover to the tankless hot water heater (which was very frustrating to us). I would have also thought he would have more carefully investigated the source of the natural gas smell. When our hot water heater again stopped working a day later, we called Kerwin to follow-up. We were told they could do some more research to try to figure out the problem. They later agreed to refund the service call, and we were not charged.

This was a multiple part job. The old sink and faucet had to be removed before the counter top could be resurfaced. We called Kerwin because we prefer to work with local providers. They gave us an estimate and stuck to it. On Tuesday September 24th, Doug came to remove the very heavy cast iron sink. He was very neat and careful, and after he got done with the removal, checked to see that the new sink would fit properly. There was some filing needed to provide the perfect fit, which he did. We had made arrangements for him to return on Friday for the installation of the new sink. On both days, Doug told us what time he would arrive, and he was precisely on time. Suffice to say, we are 100% satisfied Doug's work, and with Kerwin Plumbing, in general. We will hire them in the future for any work we need to have done. Incidentally, because of some corrective work that needed to be done on the counter top, Doug was not able to complete the caulking because of the corrective work that required the counter top to dry. He called later in the day to say that he was ready to come over, but I asked him to wait for the counter to dry completely. He said he'd call me the next morning to come by, which he did. I was shocked when I discovered that he wasn't on company time, but felt it important to complete the job on his day off. We are most appreciative of Doug.

We have used Kerwin for a number of years, ever since our former plumber went to a "by the book" pricing system. They are prompt, reliable, do great work, do not overcharge, and we really appreciate their professionalism. This time, we had a large number of repairs needed which had built up over time. They gave a quick and accurate estimate, worked hard to find exotic replacement parts, and did a great job on everything. In the past, when we had a plumbing emergency at our office, they responded immediately. We find their pricing to be fair and their work to be of top quality. We would recommend them without hesitation.
