Two or three days later, I hadn't heard anything from them, so I called them back. The person on the phone again told me the fees, but said they just needed to price the part, (still) and he'd call me back as soon as he got it. This was a Saturday morning. By Monday afternoon, they still hadn't called. So, I called another company who could have come the next day if my schedule would have allowed it. Instead, they were able to come within two days, had the part with them and fixed it for a reasonable price. It has now been a week since I first called Brown's and they still haven't returned my call. I am disappointed as I liked this company in the past and had wanted to give them my business.
Description of Work: I called Brown's to ask if they could repair my oven. Several years ago, did some other work for me, I believe it was a recall repair on a microwave oven, but I'm not sure. I was satisfied with their work, so wanted to have them back. In this instance, I told them what was wrong, that I'd broken the light switch on the frame of the door opening and the switch had fallen inside the walls of the oven. They told me what service call and labor fees are, but that they'd have to get a price on the part, would work up a quote and call me back.

They are a small company. The job went well. They were helpful in giving me information on where to leave the settings because it is in the garage. It is subject to external temperatures so I can't run it the same way I might run the freezer inside. He explained what I had to do because it is in the garage. They came on time.
