Incompetent, overpriced and took advantage of the elderly. This is a criminal!!!! I asked for clean, service and certify. They came out and did an inspection. I didn’t need one, I already had that done. They charged $240 for something I didn’t need. I had another appointment with them and when I went to cancel as I went with a reputable company, they didn’t even have the appointment on the books!! This is all prior to them cancelling on me once. Please use ANY other company. They take advantage of the elderly!!!!

Like some of the other reviews this company once had a 5 star review from me. Once they get you in and you buy the membership they don’t care. We scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. I moved things around so that we could make it work. I get a call late Sunday saying they won’t be able to make it with zero explanation. We rescheduled for the next day from 9-11 and again I move things around to accommodate them. Tuesday morning I get a text saying they can’t come until noon. I called to ask why and again there was no explanation except they were sorry. Noon comes and goes and no one shows up to my house. Finally at 3 pm I get a call that they can try to send someone. Because I had moved everything to the afternoon so they could come in the morning that didn’t work. I was also told I would be getting a call from a manager to discuss what had happened and no one ever called me. Don’t be fooled by this company. They don’t care about you or the issues you may be having with your home. They just want your money. You think a company you are a member with and just paid $2500 less than a month ago for other work would care about their customers more than this company does. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

His prices were competitive. He did the job quickly; however, he did not get rid of the water heater.
Response from Done Plumbing & Heating
"Hi [Member Name Removed], thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I am sorry that the water heater was not removed if a new one was installed by us, it is supposed to be as we recycle all old equipment at no charge. Can you please give our office a call or email HelpToday (at) itsdone.com and let us know where the service was performed and if you'd like us to return to pick up it up? I'm not finding service history for the address you provided here or your name so I'm thinking it might be under a different location? Regardless, I apologize for the inconvenience but do appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust."

I think their expertise is with plumbing. They do a fantastic job. I don't think they are that good with hot water heater. Maybe regular furnaces they are fine, but not with the problem with hot water heaters. They done great work for me with plumbing. Heating I wasn't happy with it. Hot water heating in my home, and the technicians aren't train well enough in that heating. Maybe forced air furnace that are great with, I don't know. They didn't fix the problem. I assume price is about norm for service, but I am not sure. Well it didn't work, so not very good. They came right out, and did the job. They were right on time, no problems. They did what they did. They were very professional. For plumbing, not heating.

Since we're busy and have kids we decided to have Done Plumbing replace our water heater. The guys were nice and prompt, did a good job installing and updating main valve and exhaust system. However they made a welding mistake with the valve and had to come back to fix a leak. The next summer our sewer line was backed up and in bad shape. Done inspected it and we had to be scheduled almost 2 months out for the repair. The guys got right to work and got the job finished in a about a week. However the issue got worse as they went further out and the price kept going up. They cut us a bit of a break on excavation but the cost jumped up $2,000 for having to break the sidewalk down. But the problems I had with them occured after the instillation. It took them about 2 weeks to lay sod to fix the yard. Then they weren't too careful watching out for our irrigation system and destroyed a good chunk of it. Then they tried to have their laborers rewire it but they had no idea what they were doing and the whole sprinkler system became inoperable. They eventually agreed to have my sprinkler guy fix everything. He came out, had to repair several leaks and rewire the system. Done said they would cover it but then jerked my sprinkler guy around and didn't pay him for several months. Because of their mistakes, careless approach and for being so unprofessional with my sprinkler guy, I wouldn't recommend them for anything.

We have used them a few times, and they have done very well. They have arrived on time, and they have done a very good job. They are not doing anything wrong, but I think they could do better. I think there are times when they could do better, and some of their people who I have only seen once have wanted to sell us equipment and we didn't need it. They weren't obnoxious about it, but they were more than nudging in that direction. I wasn't buying into that. They could do better if they came in and said that your equipment is working fine, but it is getting old, so you may need to replace it in the future, instead of you need to replace it very soon. They are expensive.  They do very good work when they do it.

I just installed granite counter top in my kitchen and needed to have the plumbing reconnected. I called Done Plumbing and Heating to get an estimate. They refused to give me a quote over the phone- bad sign! THey came out and charged me a $39 fee trip which they were up front about. The estimate to fix the job was $2,000! The job should cost $225 (what i paid someone else later that week). The person on the phone said they cant give me a quote without looking at it but the person at my house just plugged it into a i-Pad to generate a quote! I paid the service man the $39 with my credit card. A month later I got a bill trying to charge me again!! When I called to dispute it they were very rude and said they didn't have a payment from me. I paid the service again knowing full well I'm paying twice and being ripped off. Today, I received that check back in the mail saying its already been paid. WORST COMPANY! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!
Response from Done Plumbing & Heating
"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry you feel this way about your experience. You are correct that we do not guess on pricing over the phone. As every situation is different and has unique elements and challenges, we feel it is fair to give accurate information on-site rather than an untrained customer service representative pulling a number out of the air. I appreciate that you recognize our transparency in explaining on how we work, and why, when you scheduled the appointment. You are correct that our technicians quote work on a flat rate basis on an iPad based on the task or tasks that need to be completed. This ensures that every customer we service receives the same price for that particular work regardless of who they are or what technician is performing the work. In your case, there were four specific tasks that needed to be completed in order to properly address your kitchen plumbing. Simply stating "I need my plumbing hooked back up" does not accurately depict what work is necessary to achieve that outcome or the unique circumstances that may need to be addressed. If you look at your invoice, you'll also find the claim of being $2,000.00 is very inaccurate. I do apologize for the issues regarding payment of the trip charge you agreed to while scheduling the appointment. Due to a glitch from the credit card processessor, the $39.00 was not accurately allocated to your account in our systems. Once this mistake was recognized, we immediately remedied and because you had mailed a check we wanted to ensure that you received it back so you knew you were not charged twice. We wish you the best of luck and hope that you can find a plumber that meets your needs in the future. We do recommend that you ensure that they are properly licensed by the state AND the city that you reside, have proper insurance to protect your property and their employee while they are at your home, and are not a fly by night contractor that may or may not be around six months from performing the work should something go wrong during their warranty period (which they should also provide)."

I had a tiny leak at a reverse osmosis water filter connection at the hot water tank in the basement . A mist actually. Done plumbing came the day after I called. Plumber was told I had a leak under the sink. It was asked what the cost to remove the filter altogether would be. I was given a price of over $400. We had a coupon from the phone book and another discount the plumber said we could use which got the price down to $317 with tax. I was stuck and the leak had to be taken care of. The plumber said it would take about an hour and a half to do the job. I said ok if it's that big a job then I thought the $317 was worth the plumbers time. I had to leave the house but my wife called me and said he was gone in less than 30 minutes. I would never have paid that much money for a 30 minute job. They don't charge by the hour they charge by the job. So they can tell you it will take 90 minutes so you'll pay for a big job and be done in 30.  I called the office immediately and was told a manager would call me the next day. He called me 2 days later and didn't really care that I felt I overpaid. Said I was entitled to my opinion. Well here is my opinion of Done Plumbing and Heating. Don't use them. Just my opinion.
Response from Done Plumbing & Heating
"First, I do apologize for the delayed response when you called in to speak with a manager. As you called after 5 on a Thursday, the customer service rep let you know that a manager would call you back on Friday. Unfortunately, the plumbing supervisor that was responsible for giving you a call was out sick on Friday. I offer that detail as an explanation not as an excuse as we do expect our customers to received followup more quickly than you did. I have asked our General Manager to ensure that doesn't happen in the future should a department manager be out unexpectedly. We were called for a copper pipe leaking going into an osmosis filter (which are commonly located under a kitchen sink). We always present pricing up front and in writing for a signature approval before starting any work so our customers can make informed decisions. You are correct in your statement that we are a flat rate company that charges by the job so you know the exact price before agreeing to any work. We encourage our technicians to complete their work as quickly as possible (without sacrificing quality) so our customers are inconvenienced as little as possible. Your technician has been in the plumbing industry for over 12 years and is very experienced. While the repair went very smoothly and was completed in less time than expected, it does not change the fact that the repair was made correctly and with good workmanship at a price that was agreed to ahead of time. Had the technician ran into any issues (or had another technician needed more time) the price would not have increased due the additional time needed. I've also verified via GPS on our vehicle and signature time stamps on the digital invoice (both before beginning work and after work was completed to verify that is was completed satisfactorily) that we were on site for approximately two hours (2:53pm - 4:46pm). As you had expressed reluctance when approving the work, our technician had already waived our standard trip charge (which you had agreed to when scheduling the appointment) and allowed you to use a water heater installation coupon even though it wasn't related to the work you wanted completed, that on top of the coupon that did qualify for the work being completed. After listening to the conversation you had with our manager and his explanation as outlined above, you said that you understood, appreciated the call back, and did not request anything additional. Our manager was sympathetic to the fact that you thought the price was high, but you did acknowledge that you were presented with the price and approved it before any costs were incurred. I'm sorry that you didn't have the experience we'd hope you would, but are glad that you no longer have a leak in your plumbing system."

I called the company on Aug. 11, 2014, and told them that at least two faucet in my house needed to be replaced. They told me that a technician would come to my house on the following day and give me an estimate, and that the estimate would cost $39.00. The technician came as promised and after seeing two of the four faucets that I wanted to replace, said that it would cost about $1,000 to replace the two. When I asked him why the price was so high, he said that the price for one faucet was $250 (I later found at the hardware store that the price for the same product was only $50). I agreed and he started to work. After finishing the first one he said that he had only one faucet, and that he had to go to their warehouse to get another one. He returned after half an hour and completed the work.
Response from Done Plumbing & Heating
"The pricing by our technician is accurate as presented from our price book. We always present pricing upfront and in writing before performing any work so our customers can make informed decisions. The customer initialed next to the price and signed stating "Customer or Customer's authorized agent hereby authorizes Done Service Group to perform the work described above subject to all terms and conditions set forth on the face and reverse side." (see highlighted attached invoice) The customer then signed at the conclusion of the job stating that "I hereby acknowledge that the above described work was performed in a satisfactory manner." The customer was clearly aware of pricing and approved the work to be performed. While the customer states in his complaint that the part was $50 from the hardware store, he does not make clear the additional parts included in our work that would not be part of the product purchased by itself. Included in the service performed are One Touch emergency shut offs and No Burst braided stainless steel supply lines. Total cost of parts used was $366. These additional parts and a minimal markup must be considered when looking at the job. Also to be considered is that our labor (3.5 hours), insurance (workman's comp, vehicle, property, medical), and other overhead are included in pricing not present had the customer performed the work themselves."

I would not recommend them to anybody. They wanted a fuse and wouldn't want to give me a ball part figure to put to fix a gallon of hot water tank gas. It's kind of desperate to get hot water tank gas and so I got them out and everything else, they charged me $2100 for that water tank and I thought it about to be $1300 or less. They charged 2100 and then they turned around and said, "We will give you a discount if you join our club and that was $14 a month". I felt that they over charged me for about $600. I called them, talked about them and the manager, owner of the company, I told them and they said, "You have to sign the papers" so that's tough. They called me and they'd get me a permit and have it inspected and two months later, they still haven't got the permit. I called them at the county to tell me and said I haven't applied for one and so I wondered. I called them and told them about it and said they have a problem with when they applied for the permit, it's kind if based on how much they charged and they thought the value of work was $1350. Now, I'm on the process of just doing this and I got to call the county down and ask them how they go permit at because they got to put the figure that they charged for $2100 and $1350 in pay list how much they give the permits based on how much they charged you for the work. They didn't even want to apply the permit because that cost $50 for the permit and $1350 the value they put on the permit but they charged me $2100 which would have made it $69 for the permit. So, the total value of the work is $1350 but they charged me with $2100, I'll never use them again.

DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY. They seem good, until you actually have them do something. They take 10x longer than necessary doing whatever it is that needs to be done and charge you a ton for a bad job.
The plumbers:
I had a plumber out and everything seemed to go fine, but after he left I noticed the faucet he installed was very loose on the sink and the sink wasn't working at all anymore. The second plumber came out and attached a bracket to the faucet that the first plumber had removed from the faucet, telling me it was unnecessary. He then charged me $50 for it... and installed it wrong so that when I tried to pull the spray hose out, it would not budge because it was wedged in the poorly installed bracket. While checking the hose for a clog, he removed the 'flow restrictor' saying that it wasn't necessary. And since then the faucet squeaks every time you shut it off. But none of these things were covered by their guarantee because I didn't buy the faucet through them. So $1000 bill later, I still have a squeaky faucet.
Also, while the first plumber was checking the drains in the upstairs, water showed up on the floor of the basement bathroom. He said it was because of the shut-off valve on that toilet and proceeded to replace it. Actually, the main drain was clogged up from the house sitting vacant and a Roto-Rooter guy from a different company actually fixed the problem.
In summary, I was thieved from and charged to replace the stolen parts; I was sold services that didn't properly address or fix the actual problem. All this took 3 visits, over $1000, and SEVERAL hours during each visit to 'complete'.

The furnace guy:
The furnace was put out of service by a guy from Xcel Energy, and hazarded tagged. The hazard tag clearly reads that it is illegal for the furnace to be hooked back up until it is properly serviced and inspected. I handed this directly to the furnace guy, and explained it to him. I said I needed it fixed or a quote for a new one. He proceeded to start working on the furnace. When I came back to check on him, he had hooked up the furnace and turned it on! Exactly what he was not supposed to do! Flames billowed out of the furnace and could have set the house on fire! After it was again properly shut off, he quoted me for a new furnace that was 50,000 BTU larger than the house needs (I got 4 other quotes from Angie's "A" service providers, and all of them told me this). On top of acting illegally and quoting me on an absurdly large unit, his bill had the grammar and spelling of a 5-year-old, and my name was written wrong even after I spelled it out to him. Also, the quote was over 2x more expensive than any of the other Angie's A list quotes (from competent people).
In summary, the guy acted illegally, was completely incompetent, and gave me an extremely expensive quote for an inappropriate unit.

I repeat--DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY. A waste of time and money! You can't trust what they say!
